2020-12-14soc/intel/skylake: Drop always-zero ProbelessTrace dt settingAngel Pons
This seems to be a debugging option. Since unset devicetree options default to zero, drop the setting. If it is needed in the future, a user-visible Kconfig option would probably make more sense. 2020-12-07soc/intel/skl: set PEG port state to autoMichael Niewöhner
Setting PegXEnable to 1, statically enables the PEG ports, which blocks the SoC from going to deeper PC states. Instead, set the state to "auto" (2), so the port gets disabled, when no device was detected. Note: Currently, this only works with the AST PCI bridge disabled or the VGA jumper set to disabled on coreboot, while it works on vendor in any case. The reason for this is still unclear. Test: powertop on X11SSM-F shows SoC in PC8 like on vendor firmware instead of just PC3 Signed-off-by: Michael Niewöhner <foss@mniewoehner.de> Change-Id: I3933a219b77d7234af273217df031cf627b4071f Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/48304 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) <no-reply@coreboot.org> Reviewed-by: Felix Singer <felixsinger@posteo.net> Reviewed-by: Paul Menzel <paulepanter@users.sourceforge.net> Reviewed-by: Furquan Shaikh <furquan@google.com>
2020-09-21soc/intel: rename get_prmrr_sizeMichael Niewöhner
get_prmrr_size does not return the actual PRMRR size but a valid PRMRR size with repect to the users choice in Kconfig. Thus, rename it from `get_prmrr_size` to `get_valid_prmrr_size` to avoid confusion about what it does. Also fix the broken comment in cpulib.h. 2020-08-14soc/intel/skylake: Refactor PEG configurationFelix Singer
Simplify some if-blocks which are used for the configuration, enablement and disablement of the PEG devices. This changes the logic of the code, since it configures PegxEnable before the if-blocks, where x is the number of the PEG device, and the further configuration of the PEG devices depends on the enablement of PegxEnable. 2020-08-14soc/intel/skylake: Factor out unnecessary if-else-blockFelix Singer
Move InternalGfx config option out of the if-else-block and replace the left over config option IgdDvmt50PreAlloc by a ternary expression. Also, adjust related code comments to fit the new logic of this code. This changes the logic of the code, since InternalGfx is configured first and IgdDvmt50PreAlloc depends on its value. The negation in the ternary expression is removed to improve the readability. 2020-03-18soc: Remove copyright noticesPatrick Georgi
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2019-11-04soc/intel/sgx: convert SGX and PRMRR devicetree options to KconfigMichael Niewöhner
The devicetree is not made for user-choosable options, thus introduce Kconfig options for both SGX and the corresponding PRMRR size. The PRMRR size Kconfig has been implemented as a maximum value. At runtime the final PRMRR size gets selected by checking the supported values in MSR_PRMRR_VALID_CONFIG and trying to select the value nearest to the chosen one. When "Maximum" is chosen, the highest possibly value from the MSR gets used. When a too strict limit is set, coreboot will die, printing an error message. `pei_data` was a struct with blob parameters from pre-FSP times. Somehow, it sneaked into upstream FSP1.1 support (probably because early board ports were written for a different blob). When added upstream, its usage was already perverted. It was declared at SoC level but mostly used to pass mainboard data from mainboard code to itself and FSP data from FSP code to itself. 2016-08-18soc/intel/skylake: Correct Cache as ram sizeRizwan Qureshi
DCACHE_RAM_SIZE_TOTAL is set to 0x40000 and is being used to set up CAR. Whereas DCACHE_RAM_SIZE which is set to 0x10000 is used to calculate the _car_region_end in car.ld. If the FSP CAR requirement is greater than or even close to DCACHE_RAM_SIZE then, the CAR region for FSP will be determined to be below the overall CAR region boundary i.e, out of CAR memory range. This is working with FSP 1.1 because we provide the FspCarSize and FspCarBase explicitly in a UPD. Hence, FSP is still able to use the upper region of CAR memory for its purpose. However, it will be a problem in case of FSP2.0 where FSP usable CAR is calculated using _car_region_end. So, Remove the the use of DCACHE_RAM_SIZE_TOTAL and set DCACHE_RAM_SIZE to correct value i.e, 0x40000(256KB) Change-Id: Ie2cb8bb0705a37edb3414850d7659f8a3dd6958b Signed-off-by: Rizwan Qureshi <rizwan.qureshi@intel.com> Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/16236 Reviewed-by: Martin Roth <martinroth@google.com> Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins)

2016-06-09skylake: Support common LPSS I2C driverDuncan Laurie
Support the common Intel LPSS I2C driver for the 6 I2C bus controllers that are present on the Skylake-LP PCH with a 120 mHz clock. The required lpss_i2c_base_address() method is implemented separately for verstage/romstage and ramstage environments. This provides methods to convert to and from "struct device" and the I2C controller bus number for that device. These are used to provide support for the "I2C Bus Operations" that are present in the coreboot devicetree. To support the I2C controller before ramstage an early init function is provided to do minimal initializaiton of the PCI device and assign a temporary base address for use before memory. The final base address is assigned during device enumeration and used during ramstage. Because it is usually not necessary to enable I2C controllers before ramstage a config register for the devicetree is provided to perform early initialization of this controller. In addition the bus speed can be set in the devicetree and that speed will be applied when the device is initialized. If not provided the default speed is set to I2C_SPEED_FAST. This was tested with the google/chell mainboard by reading and writing from the trackpad and codec devices during both verstage and ramstage. 2015-09-23chromeos: vboot and chromeos dependency removal for sw write protect statePaul Kocialkowski
This removes the dependency on chromeos and vboot for the sw write protect state function: vboot_get_sw_write_protect, renamed to get_sw_write_protect_state to both reflect this change and become consistent with the definition of get_write_protect_state that is already in use. 2015-08-29intel/skylake: Fix RMT disable of saved training dataDuncan Laurie
The RMT flag that was attempting to disable saved training to force a full memory train was happening too late. In testing I was actually hitting a case where FSP was training every time but it was not because it was properly being told to.
