Add CHROMEOS_DRAM_PART_NUMBER_IN_CBI Kconfig option to declare whether
the SPD Module Part Number (memory part name) is stored in the CBI.
Move mainboard_get_dram_part_num() into src/vendor/google/chromeos
to allow mainboards to use it without having to duplicate that code
by enabling the CHROMEOS_DRAM_PART_NUMBER_IN_CBI config option.

When CSE Lite jumps from RO to RW, certain boards need to request
Embedded Controller (EC) to trigger cold reset of SoC. This change
introduces a helper to override the default global reset.
BUG=None
TEST=Ensure that Drawcia board boots to OS. Ensure that global reset is
triggered when cr50 is running firmware versions newer than 0.0.22. On
cr50 versions 0.0.22 or older, EC triggers cold reset of AP.

They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example:
- What's a "Copyright $year-present"?
- Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current
copyright holder?
- People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even
though they only deleted stuff
- Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year,
because why not?
- Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"?
- Or "Generated Code"?
Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in
individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead
and use the git history to deal with the rest.

On ChromeOS, there will be VPD values for dynamic speaker management (DSM)
calibration data. They are resistor calibration values and temperature
during calibration.
These VPD fields use "dsm_calib_" prefix.
Known keys are:
"dsm_calib_r0_0"
"dsm_calib_r0_1"
"dsm_calib_r0_2"
"dsm_calib_r0_3"
"dsm_calib_temp_0"
For now these values are unsigned decimal numbers greater than 0.
This library will be used for RT1011 device driver in the patch series.
Note that in the future we may encode more values into this VPD field if
needed. We retain the flexibility for coreboot device driver or codec
driver to decode/parse the VPD values based on the needed use case
per-board.

After ChromiumOS CL:1293132 and CL:1295890, Chrome EC can store the flag
telling if the last reboot was triggered by AP watchdog for some boards
(e.g., Kukui).
This CL adds a new function google_chromeec_get_ap_watchdog_flag(),
which reads the AP watchdog flag from Chrome EC, and updates the tables
of reset causes and reset flags.
A new Kconfig option CHROMEOS_USE_EC_WATCHDOG_FLAG is added for
elog_handle_watchdog_tombstone() to determine if watchdog reset was
triggered by the AP watchdog flag from EC instead of the tombstone in
AP.

Make the firmware slot configuration in VBOOT selectable. The following
three modes are available:
-RO only
-RO + RW_A
-RO + RW_A + RW_B
The mode "RO only" is the lowest mode with no safety during update.
You can select either RW_A or RW_AB via Kconfig which will add the
selected parttions to the final image.

The CR50 TPM can do both SPI and I2C communication. However,
there's situations where policy needs to be applied for CR50
generically regardless of the I/O transport. Therefore add
MAINBOARD_HAS_TPM_CR50 to encompass that. Additionally,
once the mainboard has selected CR50 TPM automatically select
MAINBOARD_HAS_TPM2 since CR50 TPM is TPM 2.0.

This patch attempts to finish the separation between CONFIG_VBOOT and
CONFIG_CHROMEOS by moving the remaining options and code (including
image generation code for things like FWID and GBB flags, which are
intrinsic to vboot itself) from src/vendorcode/google/chromeos to
src/vboot. Also taking this opportunity to namespace all VBOOT Kconfig
options, and clean up menuconfig visibility for them (i.e. some options
were visible even though they were tied to the hardware while others
were invisible even though it might make sense to change them).

The virtualized developer switch was invented five years ago and has
been used on every vboot system ever since. We shouldn't need to specify
it again and again for every new board. This patch flips the Kconfig
logic around and replaces CONFIG_VIRTUAL_DEV_SWITCH with
CONFIG_PHYSICAL_DEV_SWITCH, so that only a few ancient boards need to
set it and it fits better with CONFIG_PHYSICAL_REC_SWITCH. (Also set the
latter for Lumpy which seems to have been omitted incorrectly, and hide
it from menuconfig since it's a hardware parameter that shouldn't be
configurable.)
Since almost all our developer switches are virtual, it doesn't make
sense for every board to pass a non-existent or non-functional developer
mode switch in the coreboot tables, so let's get rid of that. It's also
dangerously confusing for many boards to define a get_developer_mode()
function that reads an actual pin (often from a debug header) which will
not be honored by coreboot because CONFIG_PHYSICAL_DEV_SWITCH isn't set.
Therefore, this patch removes all those non-functional instances of that
function. In the future, either the board has a physical dev switch and
must define it, or it doesn't and must not.
In a similar sense (and since I'm touching so many board configs
anyway), it's annoying that we have to keep selecting EC_SOFTWARE_SYNC.
Instead, it should just be assumed by default whenever a Chrome EC is
present in the system. This way, it can also still be overridden by
menuconfig.

cr50 by default delays nvmem commits internally from the point of
reset to accumulate change state. However, the factory process can
put a board into dev mode through the recovery screen. This state
is stored in the TPM's nvmem space. When the factory process is
complete a disable_dev_request and battery_cutoff_request is performed.
This leads to disabling the dev mode in TPM, but the battery is
subsequently cut off so the nvmem contents never stick. Therefore,
whenever antirollback_write_space_firmware() is called we know there
was a change in secdata so request cr50 to immediately enable nvmem
commits going forward. This allows state changes to happen immediately.
The fallout from this is that when secdata is changed that current
boot will take longer because every transaction that writes to TPM
nvmem space will perform a write synchronously. All subsequent boots
do not have that effect.
It should also be noted that this approach to the implementation is
a pretty severe layering violation. However, the current TPM APIs
don't lend themselves well to extending commands or re-using code
outside of the current routines which inherently assume all knowledge
of every command (in conflict with vendor commands since those are
vendor-specific by definition).

On Chrome OS devices that use TPM2 parts the platform hierarchy
is disabled by the boot loader, depthcharge. Since the bootloader
isn't involved in resuming a suspended machine there's no equivalent
action in coreboot to disable the platform hierarchy. Therefore, to
ensure consistent state in resume the platform hierarchy in the TPM2
needs to be disabled as well. For systems that resume using the
firmware the platform hierarchy is disabled when utilizing
TPM2 devices.

Chrome OS images have three firmware ID regions, to store version
information for the read-only and the two read-write areas. Fill them
with a suitable default and allow configuring a different scheme.
There's already an override in google/foster and google/rotor to match
the naming scheme used so far (in depthcharge).

Kconfig hex values don't need to be in quotes, and should start with
'0x'. If the default value isn't set this way, Kconfig will add the
0x to the start, and the entry can be added unnecessarily to the
defconfig since it's "different" than what was set by the default.
A check for this has been added to the Kconfig lint tool.

CONFIG_VBOOT was recently moved to be independent from CONFIG_CHROMEOS.
However, the latter still has some 'select' clauses to ensure that
required TPM libraries are built. The TPM is an essential part of vboot,
and without these libraries the vboot code cannot compile... therefore,
they should be moved under CONFIG_VBOOT.

With VBOOT_VERIFY_FIRMWARE separated from CHROMEOS, move recovery and
developer mode check functions to vboot. Thus, get rid of the
BOOTMODE_STRAPS option which controlled these functions under src/lib.

Until now it was assumed that all TPM devices were of the same type
(TCG 1.2 spec compliant) and x86 based boards had LPC connected TPMs
and all other boards had I2C connected TPMs.
With the advent of TPM2 specification there is a need to be able to
configure different combinations of TPM types (TPM or TPM2) and
interfaces (LPC, I2C and SPI).
This patch allows to do it. Picking Chrome OS still assumes that the
board has a TPM device, but adding MAINBOARD_HAS_TPM2 to the board's
Kconfig will trigger including of TPM2 instead.
MAINBOARD_HAS_LPC_TPM forces the interface to be set to LPC, adding
SPI_TPM to the board config switches interface choice to SPI, and if
neither of the two is defined, the interface is assumed to be I2C.

is possible to configure different combinations of TPM types and

The VBOOT_OPROM_MATTERS configuration option signals to vboot that the
board can skip display initialization in the normal boot path. It's name
is a left-over from a time when this could only happen by avoiding
loading the VGA option ROM on x86 devices. Now we have other
boards that can skip their native display initialization paths too, and
the effect to vboot is the same. (Really, we should rename oprom_matters
and oprom_loaded to display_skippable and display_initialized or
something, but I don't think that's worth the amount of repositories
this would need to touch.)
The only effect this still has in today's vboot is to reboot and
explicitly request display initialization for EC software sync on
VBOOT_EC_SLOW_UPDATE devices (which we haven't had yet on ARM). Still,
the vboot flag just declares the capability (for skipping display init),
and it should be set correctly regardless of whether that actually makes
a difference on a given platform (right now). This patch updates all
boards/SoCs that have a conditional path based on
display_init_required() accordingly.

This adds a new kconfig option that will back up the VBNV data
from CMOS to flash, and restore it if the CMOS data is invalid
during boot.
This allows special flags to not get lost when power is lost,
RTC reset is triggered, or CMOS is corrupted.

The VBNV region size is determined by vboot and is not really
configurable. Only the CMOS implementation defined this config
variable so switch it to use VBNV_BLOCK_SIZE defined by vboot
in vbnv_layout.h instead.
This requires updating the broadwell/skylake cmos reset functions
to use the right constant.

The GBB contains hardware-specific data plus some configuration. The
latter isn't supported by this change yet and will come later.
The fields that are supported (hardware ID, bmpfv, vboot keys) are
configurable through Kconfig and point to Chrome OS-style default (eg.
developer keys).
While adding vboot keys, the two keys used to sign RW regions are also
added to Kconfig, even if not yet used.

The Chrome OS verified boot path supported multiple CBFS
instances in the boot media as well as stand-alone assets
sitting in each vboot RW slot. Remove the support for the
stand-alone assets and always use CBFS accesses as the
way to retrieve data.
This is implemented by adding a cbfs_locator object which
is queried for locating the current CBFS. Additionally, it
is also signalled prior to when a program is about to be
loaded by coreboot for the subsequent stage/payload. This
provides the same opportunity as previous for vboot to
hook in and perform its logic.

Put dependecies on CHROMEOS's selection of the Kconfig symbols
TPM_INIT_FAILURE_IS_FATAL and SKIP_TPM_STARTUP_ON_NORMAL_BOOT to match
the dependencies on those symbols where they are defined in
src/drivers/pc80/tpm/Kconfig
The file that uses these only gets built in if CONFIG_LPC_TPM is
selected selected.
The warnings were:

It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address.
Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we
imported) looks out for that.
This is the result of util/scripts/no-fsf-addresses.sh with no further
editing.

Not all devices have a lid switch, so we need to state this
somehow. Since the alternative would be to extend get_lid_switch()'s
semantics to become a tri-state (open, closed, N/A), do this
through Kconfig.

Instead of being pointer based use the region infrastrucutre.
Additionally, this removes the need for arch-specific compilation
paths. The users of the new API can use the region APIs to memory
map or read the region provided by the new fmap API.

As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.
However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.
util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

With vboot1 out of the way place all the associated Kconfig
options in vboot2's Kconfig file (excluding main vboot verify
option). More options will be added to accomodate vboot's various
combinations of use cases.

elog breaks the build if ELOG_FLASH_BASE isn't configured -
and CHROMEOS isn't enabled, since with Chrome OS builds, it
just uses fmap to find out the base.
So it makes sense to enable it on all Chrome OS builds - if
the code never uses it, the linker will drop it soon enough.

It has become necessary to be able to "factory reset" certain devices
on firmware request.
The vboot package has been modified to provide the necessary API, this
patch introduces a configuration option and uses the API when
enabled.

Some projects (like ChromeOS) put more content than described by CBFS
onto their image. For top-aligned images (read: x86), this has
traditionally been achieved with a CBFS_SIZE Kconfig (which denotes the
area actually managed by CBFS, as opposed to ROM_SIZE) that is used to
calculate the CBFS entry start offset. On bottom-aligned boards, many
define a fake (smaller) ROM_SIZE for only the CBFS part, which is not
consistently done and can be an issue because ROM_SIZE is expected to be
a power of two.
This patch changes all non-x86 boards to describe their actual
(physical) ROM size via one of the BOARD_ROMSIZE_KB_xxx options as a
mainboard Kconfig select (which is the correct place to declare
unchangeable physical properties of the board). It also changes the
cbfstool create invocation to use CBFS_SIZE as the -s parameter for
those architectures, which defaults to ROM_SIZE but gets overridden for
special use cases like ChromeOS. This has the advantage that cbfstool
has a consistent idea of where the area it is responsible for ends,
which offers better bounds-checking and is needed for a subsequent fix.
Also change the FMAP offset to default to right behind the (now
consistently known) CBFS region for non-x86 boards, which has emerged as
a de-facto standard on those architectures and allows us to reduce the
amount of custom configuration. In the future, the nightmare that is
ChromeOS's image build system could be redesigned to enforce this
automatically, and also confirm that it doesn't overwrite any space used
by CBFS (which is now consistently defined as the file size of
coreboot.rom on non-x86).

make *config was complaining about mainboards selecting a virtual
dev switch when CONFIG_CHROMEOS is not enabled.
While the long term cleanup should be to move the option out of
CONFIG_CHROMEOS and make it not be a user changeable option, this
approach is contained to vendorcode/ and gets rid of the warning.

In order to display a "update in progress" screen on devices with
a slow EC or PD chip it may be necessary to also load the VGA
Option ROM when doing EC software sync.
This adds config options for VBOOT_EC_SLOW_UPDATE which simply sets
a flag in the input parameters that is already handled by vboot.
It also adds a config option for VBOOT_OPROM_MATTERS which is a bit
more tricky in that it sets a flag in input parameters, but also
needs to keep track of the option rom being loaded and pass that
flag into VbInit as well.
Since VbInit will clear the NV bit for option rom loaded the check
that is done in vboot_wants_oprom() needs to first compare against
the vboot handoff copy of the input flags.

With CONFIG_RETURN_FROM_VERSTAGE false, the verstage loads the romstage over
the bootblock, then exits to the romstage. this is necessary for some SOC
(e.g. tegra124) which runs the bootblock on a different architecture.
With CONFIG_RETURN_FROM_VERSTAGE true, the verstage returns to the bootblock.
Then, the bootblock loads the romstage over the verstage and exits to the
romstage. this is probably necessary for some SOC (e.g. rockchip) which does not
have SRAM big enough to fit the verstage and the romstage at the same time.

This introduces a new kconfig variable to select the VBNV backing
store explicitly instead of inferring it from CPU/SoC architecture.
x86 platforms have historically relied only on CMOS to store VBNV
variables, while ARM-based platforms have traditionally relied on
the EC. Neither of those solutions are going to scale well into
the future if/when CMOS disappears and we make ARM-based systems
without an EC.

This reverts the revert commit 5780d6f3876723b94fbe3653c9d87dad6330862e
and fixes the build issue that cuased it to be reverted.
Verstage will host vboot2 for firmware verification.
It's a stage in the sense that it has its own set of toolchains,
compiler flags,
and includes. This allows us to easily add object files as needed. But
it's directly linked to bootblock. This allows us to avoid code
duplication for stage loading and jumping (e.g. cbfs driver) for the
boards
where bootblock has to run in a different architecture (e.g. Tegra124).
To avoid name space conflict, verstage symbols are prefixed with
verstage_.
TEST=Built with VBOOT2_VERIFY_FIRMWARE on/off. Booted Nyan Blaze.

Fixing the location of the ram oops buffer can lead to certain
kernel and boot loaders being confused when there is a ram
reservation low in the address space. Alternatively provide
a mechanism to allocate the ram oops buffer in cbmem. As cbmem
is usually high in the address space it avoids low reservation
confusion.
The patch uncondtionally provides a GOOG9999 ACPI device with
a single memory resource describing the memory region used for
the ramoops region.

It's not appropriate for the chromeos Kconfig to automatically
select CACHE_ROM. The reason is that enabling CACHE_ROM is
dependent on the board and chipset atrributes.

coreboot tables are, unlike general system tables, a platform
independent concept. Hence, use the same code for coreboot table
generation on all platforms. lib/coreboot_tables.c is based
on the x86 version of the file, because some important fixes
were missed on the ARMv7 version lately.

This patch implements support for vboot firmware selection. The vboot
support is comprised of the following pieces:
1. vboot_loader.c - this file contains the entry point,
vboot_verify_firmware(), for romstage to call in order to perform
vboot selection. The loader sets up all the data for the wrapper
to use.
2. vboot_wrapper.c - this file contains the implementation calling the vboot
API. It calls VbInit() and VbSelectFirmware() with the data supplied
by the loader.
The vboot wrapper is compiled and linked as an rmodule and placed in
cbfs as 'fallback/vboot'. It's loaded into memory and relocated just
like the way ramstage would be. After being loaded the loader calls into
wrapper. When the wrapper sees that a given piece of firmware has been
selected it parses firmware component information for a predetermined
number of components.
Vboot result information is passed to downstream users by way of the
vboot_handoff structure. This structure lives in cbmem and contains
the shared data, selected firmware, VbInitParams, and parsed firwmare
components.
During ramstage there are only 2 changes:
1. Copy the shared vboot data from vboot_handoff to the chromeos acpi
table.
2. If a firmware selection was made in romstage the boot loader
component is used for the payload.
Noteable Information:
- no vboot path for S3.
- assumes that all RW firmware contains a book keeping header for the
components that comprise the signed firmware area.
- As sanity check there is a limit to the number of firmware components
contained in a signed firmware area. That's so that an errant value
doesn't cause the size calculation to erroneously read memory it
shouldn't.
- RO normal path isn't supported. It's assumed that firmware will always
load the verified RW on all boots but recovery.
- If vboot requests memory to be cleared it is assumed that the boot
loader will take care of that by looking at the out flags in
VbInitParams.
Built and booted. Noted firmware select worked on an image with
RW firmware support. Also checked that recovery mode worked as well
by choosing the RO path.

These were not separable or it would have been two CLs.
Enable CHROMEOS configure option on snow. Write gpio support code for
the mainboard. Right now the GPIO just returns hard-wired values for
"virtual" GPIOs.
Add a chromeos.c file for snow, needed to build.
This is tested and creates gpio table entries that our hardware can use.
Lots still missing but we can now start to fill in the blanks, since
we have enabled CHROMEOS for this board. We are getting further into
the process of actually booting a real kernel.

The RO_FMAP base moved from 0x5f0000 to 0x610000.
Also update Kconfig default and add a descripton so
the default can be changed by boards.

Until now, the MRC cache position and size was hard coded in Kconfig.
However, on ChromeOS devices, it should be determined by reading the
FMAP.
This patch provides a minimalistic FMAP parser (libflashmap was too
complex and OS centered) to allow reading the in-ROM flash map and
look for sections.
This will also be needed on some partner devices where coreboot will
have to find the VPD in order to set up the device's mac address
correctly.
The MRC cache implementation demonstrates how to use the FMAP parser.

Google ChromeOS specific options were shown in the main menu
unconditionally, even on non-ChromeOS devices. Instead, hide
these options unless CONFIG_CHROMEOS is set, and also put them
in a separate menu.

Google's ChromeOS can be booted super fast and safely
using coreboot. This adds the ChromeOS specific code that
is required by all ChromeBooks to do this.
