2021-06-29soc/intel/cannonlake: Use new IRQ moduleTim Wawrzynczak
Since GPIO IO-APIC IRQs are fixed in hardware (RO registers), this patch allows cannonlake boards to dynamically assign PCI IRQs. This means not relying on FSP defaults, which eliminates the problem of PCI IRQs interfering with GPIO IRQs routed to the same IRQ, when both have selected IO-APIC routing. Also prodrive/hermes (intel/cannonlake) was the only user of uart_acpi_write_irq(), therefore use the allocated IRQ instead of the fixed IRQ number in that function to preserve behavior. 2021-04-18soc/intel/cnl and mainboards: Drop `cnl_configure_pads()`Furquan Shaikh
CB:31250 ("soc/intel/cannonlake: Configure GPIOs again after FSP-S is done") introduced a workaround in coreboot for `soc/intel/cannonlake` platforms to save and restore GPIO configuration performed by mainboard across call to FSP Silicon Init (FSP-S). This workaround was required because FSP-S was configuring GPIOs differently than mainboard resulting in boot and runtime issues because of misconfigured GPIOs. This issue has since been fixed in FSP (verified with FSP v1263 on hatch). However, there were still 4 boards in coreboot using `cnl_configure_pads()`. As part of RFC CB:50829, librem_cnl, clevo/cml-u and system76/lemp9 were tested to ensure that this workaround is no longer required. This change drops the workaround using `cnl_configure_pads()` and updates all mainboards to use `gpio_configure_pads()` instead. This change adds the required gpio operations struct to soc/common gpio code and hooks them up in all socs currently using the gpio block code, except DNV-NS, which is handled in a separate change. Also, add the gpio device to existing chipset devicetrees. Successfully tested on Supermicro X11SSM-F with CB:48097, X11SSH-TF with CB:48711 and OCP DeltaLake with CB:48672. They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2019-02-07soc/intel/cannonlake: Configure GPIOs again after FSP-S is doneFurquan Shaikh
FSP-S is currently configuring GPIOs that it should not. This results in issues where mainboard devices don't behave as expected e.g. host unable to receive TPM interrupts as the pad for the interrupt is re-configured as something else. Until FSP-S is fixed, this change adds a workaround by reconfiguring GPIOs after FSP-S is run. All mainboards need to call cnl_configure_pads instead of gpio_configure_pads so that SoC code can maintain a reference to the GPIO table and use that to re-configure GPIOs after FSP-S is run. 2018-10-04soc/intel/cannonlake: Move the FSP related callbacks to separate filesRizwan Qureshi
Move funtions callbacks used to override FSP upd values to separate files. This serves as a base change for SoCs for which FSP is still under development, and hence the FSP header files are not available yet and in turn the UPDs cannot be referred. These newer SoCs will implement empty callbacks. The code will compile with basic header files which only include the architectural FSP structures. This allows plugging in these separate files for compilation in an environment where FSP header files are available. The fact is, FSP header files are not released externally until PRQ. However the teams at intel and some partners have access to the development version of these files. This code refactor helps to continue development on the pre-PRQ silicons and submit related code to coreboot.org.
