As described in Intel document 336464 (8th gen S series datasheet volume
1), the CPU's 4 eDP lanes can be bifurcated, so that DDI-A (eDP) ends up
with 2 lanes, and DDI-E (DP, typically used for VGA) has the remaining 2
lanes. This lets mainboards provide a VGA output without sacrificing one
of the main 4-lane DDIs. Newer platforms seem to be lacking this.
However, the way this is structured in coreboot does not allow boards to
choose whether bifurcation should be enabled. Most boards in the tree do
not use DDI-E (it doesn't exist on mobile platforms), but there are some
boards (e.g. hp/280_g2) that use DDI-E and a DP-to-VGA converter chip to
provide a VGA output.
Replace `SOC_INTEL_CONFIGURE_DDI_A_4_LANES` with two new Kconfig options
to allow boards to decide. Use `SOC_INTEL_GFX_HAVE_DDI_A_BIFURCATION` to
specify whether a platform supports DDI-A bifurcation at all (do nothing
otherwise, maintaining the original code's behaviour). If bifurcation is
supported, the `SOC_INTEL_GFX_ENABLE_DDI_E_BIFURCATION` is used to clear
or set the `DDI_A_4_LANES` bit in the `DDI_BUF_CTL_A` register.

Reason for revert: It breaks wakeup from suspend on a bunch of boards.
While this approach of eyeballing "correct" values by chipset _should_
be fixed, it should also be accompanied by compile time verification
that the memory map works out.
Since nobody seems to care enough, let's just revert this, instead of
keeping the tree broken for a bunch of configurations.

Define SOC_INTEL_COMETLAKE_1_2, which creates a build supporting both
Comet Lake v1 and v2 by including both sets of FSP binaries and
selecting one based on the CPUID.
A mainboard can select this instead of SOC_INTEL_COMETLAKE_1 or ..._2
to support all CML-U steppings in one build.

We have a tiny HEAP_SIZE by default, except when we don't, and
mainboards that override it, or not.
Since memory isn't exactly at a premium these days, and unused heap
doesn't cost anything extra, just crank it up to the highest value
we have in the tree by default and remove all overrides.

Enable early caching of the TOM region to optimize the boot time by
selecting `SOC_INTEL_COMMON_BASECODE_RAMTOP` config.
Purpose of this feature is to cache the TOM (with a fixed size of
16MB) for all consecutive boots even before calling into the FSP.
Otherwise, this range remains un-cached until postcar boot stage
updates the MTRR programming. FSP-M and late romstage uses this
uncached TOM range for various purposes (like relocating services
between SPI mapped cached memory to DRAM based uncache memory) hence
having the ability to cache this range beforehand would help to
optimize the boot time (more than 50ms as applicable).

This patch avoids cannonlake base config to select eNEM for CAR by
default. Rather allow other SoC config to choose the applicable CAR
mode between eNEM and NEM.
CML and WHL select eNEM whereas CFL decided to use NEM for CAR setup.
Here is some background about why CFL SoC platform decided to choose
NEM over eNEM:
It was found that some coffeelake CPUs like Intel i3 9100E fail to enter
CAR mode because some MSR used by NEM enhanced are lacking. According to
the Intel SDM CPUID.EAX=07h.ECX=0 reg EBX[12 or 15] should indicate the
presence of IA32_PAR_ASSOC and CPUID.EAX=10h.ECX[1 or 2] reg ECX[2]
should indicate IA32_L3_QOS_CFG and IA32_L2_QOS_CFG respectively but
even on a Intel coffeelake CPU that works with the NEM_ENHANCED these
CPUID bits are all 0 so there is no way of knowing whether NEM_ENHANCED
will work at runtime. Instead just always use regular NEM.

For recent X86 CPUs, the 0x15 CPUID instruction will return Time Stamp
Counter Frequence. For CPUs that do not support this instruction, EDK2
must include a different library which is the reason why this must be
configured at build time.
If this is enabled, and the CPU doesn't support 0x15, it will fail to
boot. If is not enabled, and the CPU does support 0x15, it will still
boot but without support for the leaf. Consequently, disabled it by
default.

In preparation to add a third option, have "Client" platforms select a
dedicated Kconfig option instead of the common "_BASE" option. Rewrite
the help texts to clarify what "Client" and "Server" mean, because the
terms refer to the type of silicon and not to the market segment. Some
uniprocessor (single-socket) servers are actually client platforms and
there are some multi-socket workstations based on a server platform.

Select `HAVE_HYPERTHREADING` and hook up the hyper-threading setting
from the FSP to the option API so that related mainboards don't have to
do that. Unless otherwise configured (e.g. the CMOS setting or overriden
by the mainboard code), the value from the Kconfig setting
`FSP_HYPERTHREADING` is used.
Also, remove related code from the following mainboards, since it is
obsolete now.

Now the bootblock is not limited to 64K so integrating vboot into the
bootblock reduces the binary size. intel/apl is an exception since the
bootblock size is limited to 32K.

This patch decouples HECI disabling interface a.k.a SMM or PCR or PMC
IPC etc. from DISABLE_HECI1_AT_PRE_BOOT kconfig as Intel ME BWG
recommends to disable the CSE PCI device while CSE is in
software temporary disable state.

This patch moves `pmc_clear_pmcon_sts` function into common code and
remove SoC specific instances.
Accessing PMC GEN_PMCON_A register differs between different Intel
chipsets. Typically, there are two possible ways to perform GEN_PMCON_A
register programming (like `pmc_clear_pmcon_sts()`) as:
1. Using PCI configuration space when GEN_PMCON_A is a PCI configuration
register.
2. Using MMIO access when GEN_PMCON_A is a memory mapped register.
SoC users to select `SOC_INTEL_MEM_MAPPED_PM_CONFIGURATION` Kconfig to
perform GEN_PMCON_A register programming using PMC MMIO.

This patch renames all FSP Notify Phase API configs to primarily remove
"SKIP_" prefix.
1. SKIP_FSP_NOTIFY_PHASE_AFTER_PCI_ENUM ->
USE_FSP_NOTIFY_PHASE_POST_PCI_ENUM
2. SKIP_FSP_NOTIFY_PHASE_READY_TO_BOOT ->
USE_FSP_NOTIFY_PHASE_READY_TO_BOOT
3. SKIP_FSP_NOTIFY_PHASE_END_OF_FIRMWARE ->
USE_FSP_NOTIFY_PHASE_END_OF_FIRMWARE
The idea here is to let SoC selects all required FSP configs to execute
FSP Notify Phase APIs unless SoC deselects those configs to run native
coreboot implementation as part of the `.final` ops.
For now all SoC that uses FSP APIs have selected all required configs
to let FSP to execute Notify Phase APIs.
Note: coreboot native implementation to skip FSP notify phase API (post
pci enumeration) is still WIP.
Additionally, fixed SoC configs inclusion order alphabetically.

Commit 805956bce [soc/intel/cnl: Use Kconfig to disable HECI1]
moved HECI1 disablement out of mainboard devicetree and into SoC Kconfig,
but in doing so inadvertently disabled HECI1 for Puff-based boards which
previously had HECI1 enabled by default. To correct this, move the Kconfig
selection back into the mainboard Kconfig, and set defaults to match values
prior to refactoring in 805956bce.
Test: run menuconfig for boards google/{drallion,hatch,puff,sarien} and
ensure Disable HECI1 option defaults to selected for all except Puff.

Commit d6dbd933 [soc/intel/cannonlake: Use SBI msg to disable HECI1]
switched CNL-based mainboards from using FSP for HECI disablement to SBI
msg, but this causes google/hatch to hang when attempting to unhide p2sb
as part of disabling HECI1 via SBI during SMM, so switch to using
PMC/IPC method. SOC_INTEL_WHISKEYLAKE and SOC_INTEL_COFFEELAKE do not
support PMC disablement method, so they remain using SBI.
Test: build/boot google/hatch, verify HECI1 disabled via console log and
lspci in booted OS.

Technically, it's not depending on the hardware but on the software
(OS/payload), if the PM Timer is optional. OSes with ACPI >= 5.0A
support disabling of the PM Timer, when the respective FADT flag is
unset. Thus, drop this guard.
For platforms without hardware PM Timer (Apollo Lake, Gemini Lake) the
Kconfig `USE_PM_ACPI_TIMER` depends on `!NO_PM_ACPI_TIMER`.
As of this change, new platforms must either implement code for
disabling the hardware PM timer or select `NO_PM_ACPI_TIMER` if no such
is present.

For coreboot proper, I/O APIC programming is not really required,
except for the APIC ID field. We generally do not guard the related
set_ioapic_id() or setup_ioapic() calls with CONFIG(IOAPIC).
In practice it's something one cannot leave unselected, but maintain
the Kconfig for the time being.

Introduce the `ARCH_ALL_STAGES_X86` Kconfig symbol to automatically
select the per-stage arch options. Subsequent commits will leverage
this to allow choosing between 32-bit and 64-bit coreboot where all
stages are x86. AMD Picasso and AMD Cezanne are the only exceptions
to this rule: they disable `ARCH_ALL_STAGES_X86` and explicitly set
the per-stage arch options accordingly.

To generalise the choice of 32-bit or 64-bit coreboot on x86 hardware,
have platforms select `ARCH_X86` directly instead of through per-stage
Kconfig options, effectively reversing the dependency order.

Since GPIO IO-APIC IRQs are fixed in hardware (RO registers), this patch
allows cannonlake boards to dynamically assign PCI IRQs. This means not
relying on FSP defaults, which eliminates the problem of PCI IRQs
interfering with GPIO IRQs routed to the same IRQ, when both have
selected IO-APIC routing.
Also prodrive/hermes (intel/cannonlake) was the only user of
uart_acpi_write_irq(), therefore use the allocated IRQ instead of the
fixed IRQ number in that function to preserve behavior.

One of the reason FSP-T support had to be kept in place was for
Intel Bootguard. This now works with native CAR code, so there is no
reason to keep FSP-T as an option for these platforms.
APL did not even build with FSP_CAR and finding FSP-T using walkcbfs
was only recently fixed using FMAP, so there can be no doubt that this
option was never used with coreboot master.

All related mainboards are setting DIMM_SPD_SIZE to 512. Therefore,

CONFIG_MAX_PCIE_CLOCKS renamed to MAX_PCIE_CLOCK_SRC to make it clear that this config
is for the number of PCIe Clock sources available which is different from PCIe clock reqs.
This is more relevant in alderlake, as the number clock source and clock reqs differ.
However since this is a better name, renaming it throughout the soc/intel tree.

With top-aligned bootblock this is no longer globally needed.
The default maximum is now a generous 256 KiB with couple

Drop the support for the Intel Cannon Lake SoC for various reasons:
* Most people can't use coreboot on Cannon Lake, since the required FSP
binaries aren't publicly available. Given that FSP binaries for several
newer platforms have been released, it's very unlikely that Cannon Lake
FSP will ever be released.
* It seems there is no interest in this, since the reference mainboard
is the only available mainboard in tree.
Also, remove the related reference mainboard intel/cannonlake_rvp and
its FSP headers in intel/fsp2_0/cannonlake.

SF Mask MSRs' Programming which was done under this config

Select `PM_ACPI_TIMER_OPTIONAL` to enable the new PM ACPI Kconfig and
set the FSP option for PM ACPI timer enablement from its value instead
of using the old devicetree option.
Also drop the obsolete devicetree option from soc code and from the
mainboards and add a corresponding Kconfig entry instead.

This patch removes all redundant reset code block from each SoC
and make use of common reset code block(fsp_reset.c) based on
SOC_INTEL_COMMON_FSP_RESET.
Respective SoC Kconfig to choose correct FSP global reset type as
per FSP integration guide.

This change adds a common block driver for CNVi WiFi/BT controllers in
Intel SoCs. This driver uses the common PCI dev operations in addition
to generating ACPI device node and returning ACPI name for the
controller device.
This change also selects this driver for CML, GLK, ICL, JSL and TGL.

Added new config BOOT_DEVICE_SPI_FLASH_NO_EARLY_WRITES to accomodate
older x86 platforms that don't allow writing to SPI flash when early
stages are running XIP from flash. If
BOOT_DEVICE_SPI_FLASH_NO_EARLY_WRITES is not selected,
BOOT_DEVICE_SPI_FLASH_RW_NOMMAP_EARLY will get auto-selected if
BOOT_DEVICE_SPI_FLASH_RW_NOMMAP=y. This allows for current platforms
that write to flash in the earlier stages, assuming that they have
that capability.

./util/abuild/abuild -p none -t GOOGLE_NAMI -x -a --timeless
with and without this change to make sure that there was no
difference. Also did this for GOOGLE_CANDY board, which is

enabled).

Nearly every x86 platform uses the same arch for all stages. The only
exception is Picasso. So, factor out redundant symbols from the rest.
Alder Lake is not yet complete, so it has been skipped for now.

Update the COS mask calculation to accomodate the RW data as per SoC
configuration. Currently only one way is allocated for RW data and
configured for non-eviction. For earlier platform this served fine,
and could accomodate a RW data up to 256Kb. Starting TGL and JSL, the
DCACHE_RAM_SIZE is configured for 512Kb, which cannot be mapped to a
single way. Hence update the number of ways to be configured for non-
eviction as per total LLC size.
The total LLC size/ number of ways gives the way size. DCACHE_RAM_SIZE/
way size gives the number of ways that need to be configured for non-
eviction, instead of harcoding it to 1.
TGL uses MSR IA32_CR_SF_QOS_MASK_1(0x1891) and IA32_CR_SF_QOS_MASK_2(0x1892)
as COS mask selection register and hence needs to be progarmmed accordingly.
Also JSL and TGL platforms the COS mask selection is mapped to bit 32:33
of MSR IA32_PQR_ASSOC(0xC8F) and need to be updated in edx(maps 63:32)
before MSR write instead of eax(maps 31:0). This implementation corrects
that as well.

Since there are 4 different versions of FSPs for the Comet Lake
platform, add a new Kconfig option for the currently used SoC being able
to differ between the various SoCs and FSPs.
The new Kconfig option selects the Comet Lake SoC as base for taking
over its specific configuration and is only used for configuring the
path to its specific FSP header files and FSP binary.
Also, adjust all related mainboards so that their Kconfig selects the
new option.

Use LZMA compression technique to compress FSP-S. This provides some
SPI ROM space savings(~27 KiB) in each CBFS. FSP-M is XIP and hence not
compressed. LZMA is chosen over LZ4 since it provides extra space
savings of ~1 KiB for the decompression overhead of ~7 ms.

The eMMC/SD interface is not present in all Intel platforms so this
change removes the default enable for the storage controller and
instead enables it in the specific SoCs that do provide it.
Currently this includes all platforms except Tigerlake.

Move more Kconfig declarations to drivers/intel/fsp2_0/ and document
them properly. This way, we don't have to repeat dependencies and have
the prompts in a common place. We can also easily hide the prompt for
the header path in case the FSP repository is used.
SP platforms were skipped as their Kconfig is too weird but they
shouldn't hold other platforms back.

For quite a bit now we are extending the FSP_USE_REPO option to be
available for all Intel SoCs. This results in a list being not only
hard to maintain but also prone to errors.
To change that behaviour this commit introduces the
HAVE_INTEL_FSP_REPO config option for SoCs that are supported from within
3rdparty/fsp.
If a SoC selects HAVE_INTEL_FSP_REPO the config option FSP_USE_REPO is
selected by default, but can be still deselected by the user in menuconfig.

With CL:1940398, this option is no longer needed. Recovery
requests are not cleared until kernel verification stage is
reached. If the FSP triggers any reboots, recovery requests
will be preserved. In particular:
- Manual requests will be preserved via recovery switch state,
whose behaviour is modified in CB:38779.
- Other recovery requests will remain in nvdata across reboot.
These functions now only work after verstage has run:

FSP logo handling used FspsConfig.LogoPtr and FspsConfig.LogoSize which
are chipset specific.
Create soc_load_logo() which will pass the logo pointer and size.
This function will call fsp_load_logo which will load the logo.

This impacts boards:
hatch (&variants) and drallion.
Some variants like Puff can have up to 12 cores. coreboot should take
the min() where MAX_CPU is the upper bound.
Further to that, boards themseleves shouldn't be setting the MAX_CPUS,
the chipset should be and so do that.

We had to role the `fsp` submodule back for a minute due to a regression
with the Coffee Lake binary. Intel silently mixed FSP 2.1 features into
the Coffee Lake FSP which is supposed to be FSP 2.0. With the stack and
heap usage partitioned for FSP using coreboot's stack (config FSP_USES_
CB_STACK), it works again.
To make this even messier: We already selected this Kconfig option for
Whiskey Lake, which is supposed to use the very same FSP binary. So with
either submodule pointer, something was always broken :-/

The romcc bootblock will be deprecated soon and most platforms use
C_ENVIRONMENT_BOOTBLOCK already. This patch drops the
CONFIG_C_ENVIRONMENT_BOOTBLOCK symbol and adds CONFIG_ROMCC_BOOTBLOCK
where needed.

The x86 timers are a bit of a mess. Cases where different stages use
different counters and timestamps use different counters from udelays.
The original intention was to only flip TSC_CONSTANT_RATE Kconfig
to NOT_CONSTANT_TSC_RATE. The name would be incorrect though, those
counters do run with a constant rate but we just lack tsc_freq_mhz()
implementation for three platforms.
Note that for boards with UNKNOWN_TSC_RATE=y, each stage will have a
slow run of calibrate_tsc_with_pit(). This is easy enough to fix with
followup implementation of tsc_freq_mhz() for the platforms.
Implementations with LAPIC_MONOTONIC_TIMER typically will not have
tsc_freq_mhz() implemented and default to UNKNOWN_TSC_RATE. However,
as they don't use TSC for udelay() the slow calibrate_tsc_with_pit()
is avoided.
Because x86/tsc_delay.tsc was using two different guards and nb/via/vx900
claimed UDELAY_TSC, but pulled UDELAY_IO implementation, we also switch
that romstage to use UDELAY_TSC.

The current DCACHE_BSP_STACK_SIZE is set to 128KiB for CML & ICL when
FSP uses the same stack provided by coreboot. This patch updates it to
129KiB since the default value of DCACHE_BSP_STACK_SIZE must be
the sum of FSP-M stack requirement (128KiB) and CB romstage
stack requirement (~1KiB).

FSP BIOS 212 / 07.00.6C.40 for CNL/WHL supports FSP to use coreboot stack.
This change selects common stack config, that enables coreboot to support
share stack with FSP.

For CML & ICL, FSP requires at least heap = 0x10000 and stack = 0x20000.
Refer to FSP integration guide to know the exact FSP requirement.

It is easier to track CAR_GLOBAL_MIGRATION which is
the approach to be deprecated with the next release.
This change enforces new policy; POSTCAR_STAGE=y is
not allowed together with CAR_GLOBAL_MIGRATION=y.

Add explicit CBMEM_STAGE_CACHE option. Rename
CACHE_RELOCATED_RAMSTAGE_OUTSIDE_CBMEM to TSEG_STAGE_CACHE.
Platforms with SMM_TSEG=y always need to implement
stage_cache_external_region(). It is allowed to return with a
region of size 0 to effectively disable the cache.
There are no provisions in Kconfig to degrade from
TSEG_STAGE_CACHE to CBMEM_STAGE_CACHE.
As a security measure CBMEM_STAGE_CACHE default is changed to
disabled. AGESA platforms without TSEG will experience slower
S3 resume speed unless they explicitly select the option.
