2022-10-20soc/amd/*/uart: commonize UART code and MMIO device driverFelix Held
Now that the SoC-specific UART controller data and the common code part are cleanly separated, move the code to the common AMD UART support block folder. The code is identical to the UART code in Cezanne, Mendocino, Morgana and Picasso while Stoneyridge doesn't use the parts related to the MMIO device driver. 2022-10-20soc/amd/stoneyridge/uart: introduce and use soc_get_uart_ctrlr_infoFelix Held
Introduce and use soc_get_uart_ctrlr_info to access the uart_info array to further decouple uart_info from the code as preparation to factor out most of the code to a common implementation. Signed-off-by: Felix Held <felix-coreboot@felixheld.de> Change-Id: I813483bc0421043dc67c523f0ea2016a16a29f60 Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/68538 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) <no-reply@coreboot.org> Reviewed-by: Fred Reitberger <reitbergerfred@gmail.com>
2022-10-20soc/amd/stoneyridge: initialize GPIOs for serial consoleFelix Held
Initialize the two GPIOs of the SoC UART if it's used for serial console to be sure that the I/O mux is configured correctly without having to rely on the bootblock_mainboard_early_init call to do this. This brings Stoneyridge more in line with the other AMD SoCs. Since this code will be factored out to the common AMD SoC code in a follow-up patch, the function prototype is added to southbridge.h instead of creating a new uart.h header file. 2022-10-20soc/amd/stoneyridge/uart: add and use uart_info arrayFelix Held
Introduce and use an array of soc_uart_ctrlr_info to align Stoneyridge with the other AMD SoCs in order to allow commonization of the AMD SoC UART code. Since the current Stoneyridge code doesn't provide or use UART MMIO device operations, only the base addresses of the UART controllers from this array are used for now. 2021-01-14soc/amd/stoneyridge: use SOC_AMD_COMMON_BLOCK_UARTFelix Held
Since the functions that get called by the coreboot console initialization code aren't in the SOC-specific code anymore, the SOC's uart.c can be included unconditionally in the build now. This also replaces the STONEYRIDGE_UART Kconfig option with the common AMD_SOC_CONSOLE_UART one. 2020-03-18soc: Remove copyright noticesPatrick Georgi
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2017-10-16soc/amd/stoneyridge: Check UART indexMarshall Dawson
The Stoney Ridge APU has only two internal UARTs. Add checks for invalid settings. When enabling the UART, return if the console is on any UART not equal 0 or 1. The base address returned is 0 if an invalid configuration is used. All callers check the return value before using the returned value. Finally, provide an assert at the earliest availability of the console to get the notice into the cbmem console. BUG=b:62201567 TEST=Build with UART = -1, 0, 2. Inspect objdump and boot to OS. Build without ST UART and inspect with objdump. 2017-06-27soc/amd/stoneyridge: Fix most checkpatch errorsMarshall Dawson
Correct the majority of reported errors and mark most of the remaining ones as todo. (Some of the lines requiring a >80 break are indented too much currently.) Some of the alignment in hudson.h still causes checkpatch errors, but this is intentionally left as-is. Also make other misc. changes, e.g. consistency in lower-case for hex values, using defined values, etc. These changes were confirmed to cause no changes in a Gardenia build. No other improvements were made, e.g. changing to helper functions, or converting functions like __outbyte().
