2020-11-13soc/intel/{skl,cnl}: replace PM ACPI timer dt option by KconfigMichael Niewöhner
Select `PM_ACPI_TIMER_OPTIONAL` to enable the new PM ACPI Kconfig and set the FSP option for PM ACPI timer enablement from its value instead of using the old devicetree option. Also drop the obsolete devicetree option from soc code and from the mainboards and add a corresponding Kconfig entry instead. 2020-10-13mb, soc/intel: Switch to using drivers/wifi/generic for Intel WiFi devicesFurquan Shaikh
This change switches all mainboard devices to use drivers/wifi/generic instead of drivers/intel/wifi chip driver for Intel WiFi devices. There is no need for two separate chip drivers in coreboot to handle Intel and non-Intel WiFi devices since the differences can be handled at runtime using the PCI vendor ID. This also allows mainboard to easily multi-source WiFi chips and still use the same firmware image without having to distinguish between the chip drivers. Setting USBx_PORT_EMPTY is not a requirement anymore, since unset devicetree settings default to 0 and the OC pin now only gets set when the USB port is enabled (see CB:45112). Thus, drop the setting from all devicetrees. 2020-05-02acpi: Move ACPI table support out of arch/x86 (3/5)Furquan Shaikh
This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own directory. In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into multiple CLs. They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2019-12-12mb/google/nocturne: adjust VBT boot resolutionMatt DeVillier
On nocturne, the VBT specifies that the native panel resolution (3000x2000) is to be used by FSP/GOP init, which makes payload and grub menus extremely difficult to read. Change the default POST resolution specified by the VBT to 1500x1000 instead (200% scaling) which is much more legible. Test: build/boot nocturne with GOP init and Tianocore payload, observe menu text is actually readable. This change removes an inversion of GPP_D17 that caused the device to get stuck in a reboot loop because the kernel was crashing within the first couple seconds of kernel boot. 2019-07-19google/nocturne: Add MKBP events as a wake sourceAseda Aboagye
We would like to wake nocturne up in suspend from an MKBP event. On Nocturne, MKBP events are notified to the host via a GPIO from the EC, EC_INT_L. However, the AP cannot wake from suspend from this GPIO. Therefore, we'll use the host event interface to wake the system instead. This commit simply enables MKBP events to wake the system in suspend. 2019-03-01soc/intel/skylake: Unify serial IRQ optionsNico Huber
We had two ways to configure the serial IRQ mode. One time in the devicetree for FSP and one time through Kconfig for coreboot. We'll use `enum serirq_mode` from soc/intel/common/ as a devicetree option instead. As the default is `quiet mode` here and that is the most common mode, this saves us a lot of lines. In four cases kblrvp8, 11 and librem 13v2, 15v3, we had conflicting settings in devicetree and Kconfig. We'll maintain the `continuous` selection, although it might be that coreboot overrode this earlier on the kblrvps. Note: A lot of Google boards have serial IRQ enabled, while the pin seems to be unconnected? The issue for which the patch was introduced, is already addressed in kernel DMIC driver and the patches are upstreamed in to the Linux kernel. Lower response time for DRAM temp sensor from 60s to 5s. 3. Increase throttle priority to the charger when DRAM hit passive temperature from 100 to 200. The spec of the sx9310 says the I2C interface can handle standard (100kb/s) and fast mode (400kb/s). The current setting is using fast plus (1000kb/s) so this change is reducing the speed to fast mode. This change primarily moves the PowerResource up to a more common scope so that the _PRx references are simpler. The ^ scope modifier isn't well supported everywhere amongst OSes and drivers. Windows 10 will BSOD early during boot with ACPI_BIOS_ERROR (code 0x6, which means it could not find the object referenced by a _PRx) with the way things are currently laid out). I've also not seen a firmware outside of coreboot that tries to reference count _ON and _OFF. Isn't it up to the OS to deference count, and whatever it tells ACPI is what should happen (i.e., on means on and off means off)? Some of the _UIDs are also duplicated. This change makes them unique. A few cosmetic changes are made so that diffing cam0.asl against cam1.asl has fewer extraneous differences. 2018-06-06soc/intel/common/block: Add common chip config blockSubrata Banik
Adding common chip config structure which will be used to return data to common code. When common code requires soc data, code used to fetch entire soc config structure. With this change, common code will only get the data/structure which is required by common code and not entire config.
