Rename two functions that have `walk` in their name but do not perform
any walk. The new names are derived from the comments just above these
functions' definitions. Also, remove these now-redundant comments.

`cpu_get_cache_info_leaf()` function is responsible to report leaf
value for CPU that have support for deterministic cache cpuid. As per
available datasheets from AMD and Intel the supported CPUID leafs are
0x8000_001d for AMD and 0x04 for Intel. Hence, this CL skips returning
default leaf value as `0`.

This patch makes use of deterministic cache helper functions, for
example: cpu_get_cache_type(), cpu_get_cache_level() etc. helper
functions from arch/x86/cpu_common.c file.
Also, changed argument for get_number_of_caches() function that receives
cpu_get_max_cache_share() data directly.
Drop unused variables partitions, cache_line_size and number_of_sets as
struct cpu_cache_info.size would provide the cache size directly.
TEST=Able to dump SMBIOS Table 7 with this CL, no changes seen in output.

This patch creates helper function that internally detects the CPU
type (AMD or Intel) and pick the leaf to send CPUID instruction with
different cache level to retrieve deterministic cache parameters.
Lists of helper functions generated as part of this CL :
1. cpu_check_deterministic_cache_cpuid_supported => if CPU has support
for deterministic cache using CPUID instruction.
2. cpu_get_cache_ways_assoc_info => Get cache ways for associativity.
3. cpu_get_cache_type => Get cache type.
4. cpu_get_cache_level => Get cache level.
5. cpu_get_cache_phy_partition_info => Get cache physical partitions.
6. cpu_get_cache_line_size => Get cache line size.
7. cpu_get_cache_sets => Get cache number of sets.
8. cpu_is_cache_full_assoc => Check if cache is fully associative.
9. cpu_get_max_cache_share => Cores are sharing this cache.
10. get_cache_size => Calculate the cache size.
11. fill_cpu_cache_info => Fill cpu_cache_info structure.

This change does the following:
* Pushes the cpu_info struct into the top of the stack (just like
c_start.S). This is required so the cpu_info function works correctly.
* Adds the thread.c to the romstage build.
I only enabled this for romstage since I haven't done any tests in other
stages, but in theory it should work for other stages.

The alignment for `struct cpu_info` is wrong on x86_64. c_start.S uses
the `push` instruction when setting up the cpu_info struct. This
instruction will push 8 bytes but `unsigned int` is 4 bytes. By making
it a `size_t` we get the correct size for both x86_32 and x86_64.

In x86_64, the first function parameter is passed in rdi register, and
the 32-bit code after exiting long mode reads the resume vector in
4(%esp), so it's needed to save the resume vector from rdi to 4(%rsp).
Also note that the function attribute "regparm" only works on x86-32
targets according to the GCC manual, so "asmlinkage" doesn't change
the ABI of an x86_64 function.
Tested on HP EliteBook 2560p. The laptop can resume from S3 in x86_64
mode after this change.

APIC Serial Bus pins were removed with ICH5 already, so a choice
'irq_on_fsb = 0' would not take effect. The related register BOOT_CONFIG
0x3 is also not documented since ICH5.
For emulation/qemu-q35 with ICH9 the choice INTERRUPT_ON_APIC_BUS was
wrong and ignored as BOOT_CONFIG register emulation was never implemented.
For ICH4 and earlier, the choice to use FSB can be made based on the
installed CPU model but this is now just hardwired to match P4 CPUs of
aopen/dxplplusu.
For sb/intel/i82371eb register BOOT_CONFIG 0x3 is also not defined
and the only possible operation mode there is APIC Serial Bus, which
requires no configuration.

This fixes a hard to debug hang that could occur in any stage, but in
the end it follows simple rules and is easy to fix.
In long mode the 32bit displacement addressing used on 'mov' and 'lea'
instructions is sign-extended. Those instructions can be found using
readelf on the stage and searching for relocation type R_X86_64_32S.
The sign extension is no issue when either running in protected mode or
the code module and thus the address is below 2GiB. If the address is
greater than 2GiB, as usually the case for code in TSEG, the higher
address bits [64:32] are all set to 1 and the effective address is
pointing to memory not paged. Accessing this memory will cause a page
fault, which isn't handled either.
To prevent such problems
- disable R_AMD64_32S relocations in rmodtool
- add comment explaining why it's not allowed
- use the pseudo op movabs, which doesn't use 32bit displacement addressing
- Print a useful error message if such a reloc is present in the code
Fixes a crash in TSEG and when in long mode seen on Intel Sandybridge.

the ACPI table generation code needs to check that before calling the

The CBFS mcache size default was eyeballed to what should be "hopefully
enough" for most users, but some recent Chrome OS devices have already
hit the limit. Since most current (and probably all future) x86 chipsets
likely have the CAR space to spare, let's just double the size default
for all supporting chipsets right now so that we hopefully won't run
into these issues again any time soon.
The CBFS_MCACHE_RW_PERCENTAGE default for CHROMEOS was set to 25 under
the assumption that Chrome OS images have historically always had a lot
more files in their RO CBFS than the RW (because l10n assets were only
in RO). Unfortunately, this has recently changed with the introduction
of updateable assets. While hopefully not that many boards will need
these, the whole idea is that you won't know whether you need them yet
at the time the RO image is frozen, and mcache layout parameters cannot
be changed in an RW update. So better to use the normal 50/50 split on
Chrome OS devices going forward so we are prepared for the eventuality
of needing RW assets again.
The RW percentage should really also be menuconfig-controllable, because
this is something the user may want to change on the fly depending on
their payload requirements. Move the option to the vboot Kconfigs
because it also kinda belongs there anyway and this makes it fit in
better in menuconfig. (I haven't made the mcache size
menuconfig-controllable because if anyone needs to increase this, they
can just override the default in the chipset Kconfig for everyone using
that chipset, under the assumption that all boards of that chipset have
the same amount of available CAR space and there's no reason not to use
up the available space. This seems more in line with how this would work
on non-x86 platforms that define this directly in their memlayout.ld.)
Also add explicit warnings to both options that they mustn't be changed
in an RW update to an older RO image.

CONFIG(HAVE_ACPI_TABLES) changes to CONFIG(CHROMEOS_NVS).
This also helps find some of the CONFIG(CHROMEOS) cases that might

This patch removes the prog_locate() step for stages and rmodules.
Instead, the stage and rmodule loading functions will now perform the
locate step directly together with the actual loading. The long-term
goal of this is to eliminate prog_locate() (and the rdev member in
struct prog that it fills) completely in order to make CBFS verification
code safer and its security guarantees easier to follow. prog_locate()
is the main remaining use case where a raw rdev of CBFS file data
"leaks" out of cbfs.c into other code, and that other code needs to
manually make sure that the contents of the rdev get verified during
loading. By eliminating this step and moving all code that directly
deals with file data into cbfs.c, we can concentrate the code that needs
to worry about file data hashing (and needs access to cbfs_private.h
APIs) into one file, making it easier to keep track of and reason about.
This patch is the first step of this move, later patches will do the
same for SELFs and other program types.

This patch changes the memlayout macro infrastructure so that the size
of a region "xxx" (i.e. the distance between the symbols _xxx and _exxx)
is stored in a separate _xxx_size symbol. This has the advantage that
region sizes can be used inside static initializers, and also saves an
extra subtraction at runtime. Since linker symbols can only be treated
as addresses (not as raw integers) by C, retain the REGION_SIZE()
accessor macro to hide the necessary typecast.

For arch/x86 the realmode part has to be located within the same 64
KiB as the reset vector. Some older intel platforms also require 4 KiB
alignment for _start16bit.
To enforce the above, and to separate required parts of .text without
matching *(.text.*) rules in linker scripts, tag the pre-C environment
assembly code with section .init directive.
Description of .init section for ELF:
This section holds executable instructions that contribute to the
process initialization code. When a program starts to run, the
system arranges to execute the code in this section before calling the
main program entry point (called main for C programs).

We have identical gdtptr16 and gdtptr. The reference in
gdtptr_offset calculation is not accounted for when
considering --gc-sections, so to support linking
gdt_init.S separately add dummy use of gdtptr symbol.
Realmode execution already accessed gdt that was located
outside [_start16bit,_estart16bit] region. Remove latter
symbol as the former was not really a start of region,
but entry point symbol.
With the romcc bootblock solution, entry32.inc may have

This change adds details about the memory map windows to translate
addresses between SPI flash space and host address space to coreboot
tables. This is useful for payloads to setup the translation using the
decode windows already known to coreboot. Until now, there was a
single decode window at the top of 4G used by all x86
platforms. However, going forward, platforms might support more decode
windows and hence in order to avoid duplication in payloads this
information is filled in coreboot tables.
`lb_spi_flash()` is updated to fill in the details about these windows
by making a call to `spi_flash_get_mmap_windows()` which is
implemented by the driver providing the boot media mapping device.

The initial bootblock assembly code on x86 is just put into the .text
section, which just happens to come before all the individual .text.*
function sections in the program.ld script. So it tends to be at the
start of the image, but if you inserted another linker script section
with contents before .text, it would cause a problem. (I'm not sure if
it's an architectural requirement for _start16bit to come at the start
of the image, but at least its 4K alignment requirement would waste a
lot of space if it didn't.)
This patch moves the section to .text._start which is the name other
architectures use for the code they want in the very front of the image
and which is listed first in program.ld.

This patch renames cbfs_boot_map_with_leak() and cbfs_boot_load_file()
to cbfs_map() and cbfs_load() respectively. This is supposed to be the
start of a new, better organized CBFS API where the most common
operations have the most simple and straight-forward names. Less
commonly used variants of these operations (e.g. cbfs_ro_load() or
cbfs_region_load()) can be introduced later. It seems unnecessary to
keep carrying around "boot" in the names of most CBFS APIs if the vast
majority of accesses go to the boot CBFS (instead, more unusual
operations should have longer names that describe how they diverge from
the common ones).
cbfs_map() is paired with a new cbfs_unmap() to allow callers to cleanly
reap mappings when desired. A few new cbfs_unmap() calls are added to
generic code where it makes sense, but it seems unnecessary to introduce
this everywhere in platform or architecture specific code where the boot
medium is known to be memory-mapped anyway. In fact, even for
non-memory-mapped platforms, sometimes leaking a mapping to the CBFS
cache is a much cleaner solution than jumping through hoops to provide
some other storage for some long-lived file object, and it shouldn't be
outright forbidden when it makes sense.
Additionally, remove the type arguments from these function signatures.
The goal is to eventually remove type arguments for lookup from the
whole CBFS API. Filenames already uniquely identify CBFS files. The type
field is just informational, and there should be APIs to allow callers
to check it when desired, but it's not clear what we gain from forcing
this as a parameter into every single CBFS access when the vast majority
of the time it provides no additional value and is just clutter.
