2024-01-31include/device/device.h: Remove CHIP_NAME() macroNicholas Sudsgaard
Macros can be confusing on their own; hiding commas make things worse. This can sometimes be downright misleading. A "good" example would be the code in soc/intel/xeon_sp/spr/chip.c: CHIP_NAME("Intel SapphireRapids-SP").enable_dev = chip_enable_dev, This appears as CHIP_NAME() being some struct when in fact these are defining 2 separate members of the same struct. It was decided to remove this macro altogether, as it does not do anything special and incurs a maintenance burden. 2021-11-04superio: Replace bad uses of `find_resource`Angel Pons
The `find_resource` function will never return null (will die instead). In cases where the existing code already accounts for null pointers, it is better to use `probe_resource` instead, which returns a null pointer instead of dying. Pass the address of the chip-specific ops struct instead of the one of the generic pnp_ops struct to the PNP device enable function. This allows the removal of the LDN-specific ops overrides which is also done in this patch. 2016-02-01drivers/pc80: Add PS/2 mouse presence detectTimothy Pearson
On certain Winbond SuperIO devices, when a PS/2 mouse is not present on the auxiliary channel both channels will cease to function if the auxiliary channel is probed while the primary channel is active. Therefore, knowledge of mouse presence must be gathered by coreboot during early boot, and used to enable or disable the auxiliary PS/2 port before control is passed to the operating system. Add auxiliary channel PS/2 device presence detect, and update the Winbond W83667HG-A driver to flag the auxiliary channel as disabled if no device was detected. As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things.
