2019-01-06Kconfig: Unify power-after-failure optionsNico Huber
The newest and most useful incarnation was hiding in soc/intel/common/. We move it into the Mainboard menu and extend it with various flags to be selected to control the default and which options are visible. Also add a new `int` config MAINBOARD_POWER_FAILURE_STATE that moves the boolean to int conversion into Kconfig: 0 - S5 1 - S0 2 - previous state This patch focuses on the Kconfig code. The C code could be unified as well, e.g. starting with a common enum and safe wrapper around the get_option() call. TEST=Did what-jenkins-does with and without this commit and compared binaries. Nothing changed for the default configurations. Use of scan_static_bus() and tree traversals is somewhat convoluted. Start cleaning this up by assigning each path type with separate static scan_bus() function. For ME, SMBus and LPC paths a bus cannot expose bridges, as those would add to the number of encountered PCI buses. As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. Control bits located by changing tristate power restoration value in proprietary BIOS, booting into Linux, dumping the entire CK804 configuration space, then comparing values against those dumped earlier. "Last state" control bit(s) are unknown at this time. TEST: Boot ASUS KFSN4-DRE with both coreboot power on and power off after power failure settings, then pull power plug / reinsert power plug and verify mainboard behaviour matches setting. 2014-10-22cmos: Rename the CMOS related functions.Gabe Black
Most of the code related to the mc146818 is not related to the RTC and is really for managing the CMOS storage. Since we intend to add a generic API for RTC drivers it's inconvenient for those functions to have an rtc_ prefix. This CL renames those functions so they start with cmos_ instead. There are some places where rtc_init was called with a comment that says something about starting the RTC. That wasn't correct before (the RTC is always running), but it looks a little odd now that the function is called cmos_init. This CL also opportunistically cleans up some style problems in this file. 2013-10-14ck804: hide IOAPIC base address in PCI_BASE_ADDRESS_1Jonathan A. Kollasch
Linux unhelpfully "fixes" the value in PCI_BASE_ADDRESS_1 when it is 0xfec00000 (that is, outside the range of bus 0 address space). This causes IOAPIC interrupts to fail to work under Linux. This issue was originally unnoticed by me when testing as sanity checking such as this is not done by NetBSD. Hiding the IOAPIC BAR is done by the OEM BIOS on the ck804 boards I've checked. 2012-11-28Remove assembly coded log2 functionRonald G. Minnich
As we move to supporting other systems we need to get rid of assembly where we can. The log2 function in src/lib is identical to the assembly one (tested for all 32-bit signed integers :-) and takes about 10 ns to run as opposed to 5ns for the non-portable assembly version. the prefix was introduced in the early v2 tree many years ago because our old build system "newconfig" could not handle two files with the same name in different paths like /path/to/usb.c and /another/path/to/usb.c correctly. Only one of the files would end up being compiled into the final image. Since Kconfig (actually since shortly before we switched to Kconfig) we don't suffer from that problem anymore.
