This adds a file i82801gx/bootblock_gcc.c since other targets that don't yet C_ENVIRONMENT_BOOTBLOCK still use the romcc compiled bootblock.c. Tested on Foxconn D41S. 2019-05-10sb/i82801gx: Don't rewrite over BCTRLElyes HAOUAS
PCI_MIN_GNT is defined at offset 0x3e in <pci_def.h> which does not apply to this PCI bridge because it is only defined for "Header type 0 (normal devices)" (line 82). BCTRL registry for D30:F0 is defined at offset 0x3e for i82801gx (see ICH7 Family Datasheet page 355). The write on that register is already done some lines above. So remove wrong register name and the wrong code line. 2019-03-01ACPI: Rename FADT model and set it to zeroElyes HAOUAS
INT_MODEL defined in ACPI 1.0 and renamed to reserved since V 2.0. The value for this field is zero but 1 is allowed to maintain compatibility with ACPI 1.0. So set this value to zero as we are using greater version than ACPI 1.0. 2019-02-01sb/intel/common: Rename i2c_block_read() to i2c_eeprom_read()Kyösti Mälkki
Datasheets describe the used command as 'I2C Read' but adding the word 'eeprom' in between should avoid further confusion with other block commands. Followups will add a symmetrical pair of commands i2c_block_read() and i2c_block_write() that operate via I2C_EN bit and have a 32 byte size restriction on block transfers. For some hardware revision these block commands are available, while 'I2C Read' was not. Use the parallel mp init path to initialize AP's. This should result in a moderate speedup. Tested on Intel D945GCLF (1 core 2 threads), still boots fine and is 26ms faster compared to lapic_cpu_init. This removes the option to disable HT siblings. 2019-01-13sb/intel: Check for NULL-return of pcidev_on_root()Nico Huber
In these cases we have to expect a NULL pointer because the IGD device 0:2.0 may be disabled. The behaviour still differs from using dev_find_slot(), which may return a disabled device. Though, if you'd try to read its config space you'd only read garbage (0xff) and in cases where we filled ACPI data with devicetree information, the information shouldn't be interpreted by the OS because of the disabled device. 2019-01-06Kconfig: Unify power-after-failure optionsNico Huber
The newest and most useful incarnation was hiding in soc/intel/common/. We move it into the Mainboard menu and extend it with various flags to be selected to control the default and which options are visible. Also add a new `int` config MAINBOARD_POWER_FAILURE_STATE that moves the boolean to int conversion into Kconfig: 0 - S5 1 - S0 2 - previous state This patch focuses on the Kconfig code. The C code could be unified as well, e.g. starting with a common enum and safe wrapper around the get_option() call. TEST=Did what-jenkins-does with and without this commit and compared binaries. Nothing changed for the default configurations. 2018-12-03nb/intel/i945: Use common SMM_TSEG codeArthur Heymans
Use the common SMM_TSEG code to relocate the smihandler to TSEG. This also caches the TSEG region and therefore increases MTRR usage a little in some cases. This fixes S3 resume being broken introduced by CB:25594 "sb/intel/i82801gx: Use common Intel SMM code". Currently SMRR msr's are not set on model_1067x and model_6fx since this needs the MSRR enable bit and lock set in IA32_FEATURE_CONTROL. This will be handled properly in the subsequent parallel mp init patchset. Tested on Intel d945gclf and Lenovo Thinkpad X60. 2018-11-27sb/intel/i82801gx: Use common Intel SMM codeArthur Heymans
Use the common Intel code to set up smm and the smihandler. This is expected to break S3 resume and other smihandler related functionality as this code is meant to be used with CONFIG_SMM_TSEG. Platforms (i945, pineview, x4x) using this southbridge will adapt the CONFIG_SMM_TSEG codepath in subsequent patches. Tested on Intel D945GCLF, still boots fine but breaks S3 resume support because it hangs on SMI. There are many good reasons why we may want to run some sort of generic callback before we're executing a reset. Unfortunateley, that is really hard right now: code that wants to reset simply calls the hard_reset() function (or one of its ill-differentiated cousins) which is directly implemented by a myriad of different mainboards, northbridges, SoCs, etc. More recent x86 SoCs have tried to solve the problem in their own little corner of soc/intel/common, but it's really something that would benefit all of coreboot. This patch expands the concept onto all boards: hard_reset() and friends get implemented in a generic location where they can run hooks before calling the platform-specific implementation that is now called do_hard_reset(). The existing Intel reset_prepare() gets generalized as soc_reset_prepare() (and other hooks for arch, mainboard, etc. can now easily be added later if necessary). We will also use this central point to ensure all platforms flush their cache before reset, which is generally useful for all cases where we're trying to persist information in RAM across reboots (like the new persistent CBMEM console does). Also remove cpu_reset() completely since it's not used anywhere and doesn't seem very useful compared to the others. Since the LPC function claims the resources for IOAPIC, ROM and low IO (0x0-0xfff) in its read_resources() call, the PCI-to-PCI configuration will not overlap those regions and does not hide the resources mentioned in the original comment. Don't use scratchpad registers when we have romstage_handoff to pass S3 resume flag. Scratchpad register was read too late in ramstage so acpi_is_wakeup_s3() did not evaluate correctly. Defining this OpRegion for SMBus controller prevents linux kernel driver i2c-i801 from registering SMBus under sysfs, with following error in dmesg: ACPI Warning: SystemIO range .. conflicts with OpRegion .. (\_SB.PCI0.SBUS.SMBI) Solution taken from intel/bd82x6x. Worth noting we do not define ENABLE_SMBUS_METHODS anywhere currently. Removed remaining reference to HSTS from GETAC P470. Tested on Intel D510MO Before this patch, I was unable to get the SATA controller into AHCI mode. That is, I could never see PCI ID 8086:27c1 appearing on the bus. With sata_ahci set, controller now goes into AHCI mode and works. 8086:27c1 Tested on X60 with AHCI enabled 8086:27c5 (AHCI mode for mobile ich7) No regressions detected. Old igd.asl had inconsistent addresses (between _DOD and actual device) and ghost devices. Any of those is enough to make brightness on windows fail and make igd.asl out-of-ACPI-spec. Also old code favoured ridiculous copying of the same thing 6 times per chipset. Leave only hooking up and chipset-specific part in chipset directory. Move NVS handling and ACPI-spec parts to a common file.
