Shorten define names containing PCI_{DEVICE,VENDOR}_ID_ with PCI_{DID,VID}_ using the commands below, which also take care of some spacing issues. An additional clean up of pci_ids.h is done in CB:61531. For SMP operation IOAPIC needs to be configured. For a build with MAX_CPUS=1 emulation might still decode the IOAPIC MMIO window, it does not really matter to have it always reserved. 2020-07-06sb/intel/i82371eb: Don't fill \_SB.PCI0.MBRSKeith Hui
Only two mainboard groups use this southbridge: emulation/qemu-i440fx: Nothing creates or consumes this ACPI path. asus/p2b: It only fills the (mostly static) PIIX4E PM/SMBus I/O resources, which are being declared in DSDT. It is not doing anything useful and causes ACPI errors in Linux kernel[1][2], so it has to stop. 2020-05-02acpi: Move ACPI table support out of arch/x86 (3/5)Furquan Shaikh
This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own directory. In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into multiple CLs. 2020-04-02Trim `.acpi_fill_ssdt_generator` and `.acpi_inject_dsdt_generator`Nico Huber
These two identifiers were always very confusing. We're not filling and injecting generators. We are filling SSDTs and injecting into the DSDT. So drop the `_generator` suffix. Hopefully, this also makes ACPI look a little less scary. They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. XOE# and XDIR# can be used as GPOs 23/22 if X-Bus functionality is not required. Turns out asus/p2b-ls is using them to control termination for the onboard SCSI buses. Use of scan_static_bus() and tree traversals is somewhat convoluted. Start cleaning this up by assigning each path type with separate static scan_bus() function. For ME, SMBus and LPC paths a bus cannot expose bridges, as those would add to the number of encountered PCI buses. 2014-10-22cmos: Rename the CMOS related functions.Gabe Black
Most of the code related to the mc146818 is not related to the RTC and is really for managing the CMOS storage. Since we intend to add a generic API for RTC drivers it's inconvenient for those functions to have an rtc_ prefix. This CL renames those functions so they start with cmos_ instead. There are some places where rtc_init was called with a comment that says something about starting the RTC. That wasn't correct before (the RTC is always running), but it looks a little odd now that the function is called cmos_init. This CL also opportunistically cleans up some style problems in this file. the prefix was introduced in the early v2 tree many years ago because our old build system "newconfig" could not handle two files with the same name in different paths like /path/to/usb.c and /another/path/to/usb.c correctly. Only one of the files would end up being compiled into the final image. Since Kconfig (actually since shortly before we switched to Kconfig) we don't suffer from that problem anymore.
