So we should scan buses on LPC devices, too.

Implicit fall throughs are a perpetual source of bugs and Coverity Scan
issues, so let's squash them once and for all. GCC can flag implicit fall
throughs using the -Wimplicit-fallthrough warning, and this should
ensure no more enter the code base. However, many fall throughs are
intentional, and we can use the following comment style to have GCC
suppress the warning.
switch (x) {
case 1:
y += 1;
/* fall through */
case 2:
y += 2;
/* fall through - but this time with an explanation */
default:
y += 3;
}
This patch adds comments for all remaining intentional fall throughs,
and tweaks some existing fall through comments to fit the syntax that
GCC expects.

There are two hard things in computer science: cache invalidation,
naming things, and off-by-one errors. -- Anonymous
var_num records the number of initialized entries in the reg_var array.
However, this means the index of the last initialized element is one
less than the value of var_num, so we need to take that into account
when indexing into the array. This has already been fixed in several
other places (eg. sb/amd/pi/hudson/lpc.c), so let's also do so here.

These are defined for __SIMPLE_DEVICE__ when PCI
enumeration has not happened yet. These should not
really try to probe devices other than those on bus 0.
It's hard to track but there maybe cases of southbridge
being located on bus 2 and available for configuration, so
I rather leave the code unchanged. Just move these out of
arch/io.h because they cause build failures if one attempts
to include <arch/pci_ops.h> before <arch/io.h>.
There are two direct copies for ROMCC bootblocks to
avoid inlining them elsewhere.

The newest and most useful incarnation was hiding in soc/intel/common/.
We move it into the Mainboard menu and extend it with various flags to
be selected to control the default and which options are visible. Also
add a new `int` config MAINBOARD_POWER_FAILURE_STATE that moves the
boolean to int conversion into Kconfig:
0 - S5
1 - S0
2 - previous state
This patch focuses on the Kconfig code. The C code could be unified as
well, e.g. starting with a common enum and safe wrapper around the
get_option() call.
TEST=Did what-jenkins-does with and without this commit and compared
binaries. Nothing changed for the default configurations.

And here comes the mess...
This just renames do_hard_reset() to do_board_reset() and keeps current
behaviour. As these are never called from chipset or board code but only
from common code, it's likely that their implementations are untested
and not what we actually want. Also note, that sometimes implementations
for rom- and ramstage differ considerably.

Julius brought up confusion about the current spi api in [1]. In order
alleviate the confusion stemming from supporting x86 spi flash
controllers:
- Remove spi_xfer_two_vectors() which was fusing transactions to
accomodate the limitations of the spi controllers themselves.
- Add spi_flash_vector_helper() for the x86 spi flash controllers to
utilize in validating driver/controller current assumptions.
- Remove the xfer() callback in the x86 spi flash drivers which
will trigger an error as these controllers can't support the api.

There are many good reasons why we may want to run some sort of generic
callback before we're executing a reset. Unfortunateley, that is really
hard right now: code that wants to reset simply calls the hard_reset()
function (or one of its ill-differentiated cousins) which is directly
implemented by a myriad of different mainboards, northbridges, SoCs,
etc. More recent x86 SoCs have tried to solve the problem in their own
little corner of soc/intel/common, but it's really something that would
benefit all of coreboot.
This patch expands the concept onto all boards: hard_reset() and friends
get implemented in a generic location where they can run hooks before
calling the platform-specific implementation that is now called
do_hard_reset(). The existing Intel reset_prepare() gets generalized as
soc_reset_prepare() (and other hooks for arch, mainboard, etc. can now
easily be added later if necessary). We will also use this central point
to ensure all platforms flush their cache before reset, which is
generally useful for all cases where we're trying to persist information
in RAM across reboots (like the new persistent CBMEM console does).
Also remove cpu_reset() completely since it's not used anywhere and
doesn't seem very useful compared to the others.

spi_crop_chunk is a property of the SPI controller since it depends
upon the maximum transfer size that is supported by the
controller. Also, it is possible to implement this within spi-generic
layer by obtaining following parameters from the controller:
1. max_xfer_size: Maximum transfer size supported by the controller
(Size of 0 indicates invalid size, and unlimited transfer size is
indicated by UINT32_MAX.)
2. deduct_cmd_len: Whether cmd_len needs to be deducted from the
max_xfer_size to determine max data size that can be
transferred. (This is used by the amd boards.)

Do not map LPC ROM into the system memory space when SPI Flash
is configured instead of an LPC ROM.
This resolves a long-standing hard boot hang issue on the ASUS
KGPE-D16 and related systems; in a nutshell, the incorrectly
mapped LPC ROM overrode low memory required by ramstage, causing
decompressed ramstage layout-dependent vectoring to romstage code
and subsequent execution of random sections of romstage. Sometimes
these random sections of romstage reconfigured the hardware in such
a way that it could not access SPI Flash on the next boot attempt.

SPI_ATOMIC_SEQUENCING was added to accomodate spi flash controllers with
the ability to perform tx and rx of flash command and response at the
same time. Instead of introducing this notion at SPI flash driver layer,
clean up the interface to SPI used by flash.
Flash uses a command-response kind of communication. Thus, even though
SPI is duplex, flash command needs to be sent out on SPI bus and then
flash response should be received on the bus. Some specialized x86
flash controllers are capable of handling command and response in a
single transaction.
In order to support all the varied cases:
1. Add spi_xfer_vector that takes as input a vector of SPI operations
and calls back into SPI controller driver to process these operations.
2. In order to accomodate flash command-response model, use two vectors
while calling into spi_xfer_vector -- one with dout set to
non-NULL(command) and other with din set to non-NULL(response).
3. For specialized SPI flash controllers combine two successive vectors
if the transactions look like a command-response pair.
4. Provide helper functions for common cases like supporting only 2
vectors at a time, supporting n vectors at a time, default vector
operation to cycle through all SPI op vectors one by one.

Some SB700-based systems and ROMs support high speed (33MHz) SPI
access instead of the power-on default 16.5MHz. Add an option
to enable high speed SPI access in the bootblock, and set the
default value to Disabled. This greatly decreases boot time on
SB700-based systems, especiall when a large payload is in use.
On a KGPE-D16 with a Petitboot (Linux + initramfs) payload, the
command prompt was accessible within 20 seconds of power on, which
incidentally is faster than the proprietary BIOS on the same machine
could even reach the GRUB bootloader.

The SB700 silicon is somewhat buggy; if the links come up in an
incorrect state after POR the silicon cannot automatically recover.
If a disk fails to come online, reset the associated link and try
disk detection again.

In AHCI mode SeaBIOS randomly fails to detect disks (AHCI timeouts),
with the probability of a failure increasing with the number of disks
connected to the controller. Resetting the SATA controller appears to
show the true state of the underlying hardware, allowing the drive
detection code to attempt link renegotiation as needed.

SeaBIOS AHCI drive detection randomly fails for drives present
on the secondary channel of each AHCI SATA BAR. Forcing native
drive detection in AHCI mode resolves this issue.

The AMD Register Programming Reference states that the user should
have the option to disable Active Link Power Management for two
reasons. First, some drives may not function correctly with the
ALPM implementation of the SP5100, and second there are some
situations where low latency access is more important than the
power savings created by using ALPM.
Allow the user to disable ALPM if desired.

This patch adds CC6 power save support to the AMD Family 15h
support code. As CC6 is a complex power saving state that
relies heavily on CPU, northbridge, and southbridge cooperation,
this patch alters significant amounts of code throughout the
tree simultaneously.
Allowing the CPU to enter CC6 allows the second level of turbo
boost to be reached, and also provides significant power savings
when the system is idle due to the complete core shutdown.

The acpi_get_sleep_type function in SB700 ramstage is only needed
for boards / CPUs that require late CBMEM initialization.
Providing this function in early CBMEM-compatible boards breaks
building of the ACPI S3 code due to multiple definitions of
acpi_get_sleep_type.

Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we
imported) looks out for that.
This is the result of util/scripts/no-fsf-addresses.sh with no further
editing.
