2022-03-29soc/intel: Move `pmc_clear_pmcon_sts()` into IA common codeSubrata Banik
This patch moves `pmc_clear_pmcon_sts` function into common code and remove SoC specific instances. Accessing PMC GEN_PMCON_A register differs between different Intel chipsets. Typically, there are two possible ways to perform GEN_PMCON_A register programming (like `pmc_clear_pmcon_sts()`) as: 1. Using PCI configuration space when GEN_PMCON_A is a PCI configuration register. 2. Using MMIO access when GEN_PMCON_A is a memory mapped register. SoC users to select `SOC_INTEL_MEM_MAPPED_PM_CONFIGURATION` Kconfig to perform GEN_PMCON_A register programming using PMC MMIO. BUG=b:211954778 TEST=Able to build brya. 2021-06-28soc/intel: Drop casts around `soc_read_pmc_base()`Angel Pons
The `soc_read_pmc_base()` function returns an `uintptr_t`, which is then casted to a pointer type for use with `read32()` and/or `write32()`. But since commit b324df6a540d154cc9267c0398654f9142aae052 (arch/x86: Provide readXp/writeXp helpers in arch/mmio.h), the `read32p()` and `write32p()` functions live in `arch/mmio.h`. These functions use the `uintptr_t type for the address parameter instead of a pointer type, and using them with the `soc_read_pmc_base()` function allows dropping the casts to pointer. 2021-04-21soc/intel: Move pmc_soc_set_afterg3_en() to pmutil.cAngel Pons
Commit 2c26108208e4aa48de21be576ab6cad9286d7934 moved this function to pmutil.c for Tiger Lake. Do this to all other platforms for consistency. For Skylake, __SIMPLE_DEVICE__ preprocessor guards are no longer needed. With this change, pmc.c is only needed in ramstage. Adjust Makefile.inc accordingly, and drop ENV_RAMSTAGE guards from Skylake. 2021-03-05soc/intel/apollolake: Add `GPE0_STS_BIT` macroAngel Pons
The datasheet indicates that this bit is reserved. However, subsequent patches need to use this macro in common code, or else builds fail. To iron out this difference, mask out the bit in `soc_get_smi_status`, so that common code always sees it as zero. Finally, add an entry for the bit in `smi_sts_bits` for debugging usage, noting that it is reserved. 2020-10-28soc/intel: deduplicate ACPI timer emulationMichael Niewöhner
The code for enabling ACPI timer emulation is the same for the SoCs SKL, CNL, ICL, TGL, JSL and EHL. Deduplicate it by moving it to common code. APL differs in not having the delay settings. However, the bits are marked as "spare" and BWG mentions there are no "reserved bit checks done". Thus, we can write them unconditionally without any effect. Note: The ACPI timer emulation can only be used by SoCs with microcode supporting CTC (Common Timer Copy) / ACPI timer emulation. 2020-05-02acpi: Move ACPI table support out of arch/x86 (3/5)Furquan Shaikh
This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own directory. In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into multiple CLs. They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2020-02-04soc/intel: Add get_pmbaseEugene Myers
Originally a part of security/intel/stm. Add get_pmbase to the intel platform setup code. get_pmbase is used by the coreboot STM setup functions to ensure that the pmbase is accessable by the SMI handler during runtime. 2018-02-05soc/intel/apollolake: Clear RTC failure bit after reading itFurquan Shaikh
This change ensures that the RTC failure bit is cleared in PMCON1 after cmos_init checks for it. Before this change, RPS was cleared in dev init phase. If any reboot occurred before dev init stage (e.g. FSP reset) then RPS won't be cleared and cmos_init will re-initialize CMOS data. This resulted in any information like VBNV flags stored in CMOS after first cmos_init to be lost. 2017-09-20vboot: reset vbnv in cmos when cmos failure occursAaron Durbin
There's an occasional issue on machines which use CMOS for their vbnv storage. The machine that just powers up from complete G3 would have had their RTC rail not held up. The contents of vbnv in CMOS could pass the crc8 though the values could be bad. In order to fix this introduce two functions: 1. vbnv_init_cmos() 2. vbnv_cmos_failed() At the start of vboot the CMOS is queried for failure. If there is a failure indicated then the vbnv data is restored from flash backup or reset to known values when there is no flash backup. The devicetree data structures have been available in more than just ramstage and romstage. In order to provide clearer and consistent semantics two new macros are provided: 1. DEVTREE_EARLY which is true when !ENV_RAMSTAGE 2. DEVTREE_CONST as a replacment for ROMSTAGE_CONST The ROMSTAGE_CONST attribute is used in the source code to mark the devicetree data structures as const in early stages even though it's not just romstage. Therefore, rename the attribute to DEVTREE_CONST as that's the actual usage. The only place where the usage was not devicetree related is console_loglevel, but the same name was used for consistency. Any stage that is not ramstage has the const C attribute applied when DEVTREE_CONST is used. When reading+clearing a GPE for use as an interrupt we need to re-read the status register and keep setting the clear bit until it actually reads back clear. Also add a 1ms timeout in case the status never clears. This is needed if a device sends a longer interrupt pulse and it is still asserted when the "ISR" goes to clear the status. Wake status is calculated from the four pairs of gpe0 in cbmem CBMEM_ID_POWER_STATE which is filled very early in romstage and depends on the routing information in PMC GPE_CFG register. Coreboot sets the proper value of routing based on devicetree from pmc_init. But when system goes to S3 on waking up PMC is writing default values again in GPE_CFG which results in returning wrong wake status in _SWS. This patch corrects that behaviour by correcting the gpe0 pairs in cbmem after PMC sets the routing table in resume path. There previously was no support for building verstage on apollolake. Add that suport by linking in the appropriate modules as well as providing vboot_platform_is_resuming(). The link address for verstage is the same as FSP-M because they would never be in CAR along side each other.
