2021-01-25nb/intel/sandybridge: Only run DMI recipe on Ivy BridgeAngel Pons
Reference code does not run any DMI recipe for Sandy Bridge. Create a helper function and exit early for Sandy Bridge. The CPUID value will be used in a follow-up, since DMI setup has stepping-specific steps. 2020-09-21nb/intel/sandybridge: Clean up DMIBAR/EPBAR registersAngel Pons
Several registers have been copy-pasted from i945 and do not exist on Sandy Bridge. Moreover, other register definitions were missing. Use the newly-added definitions in existing code, in place of numerical offsets. Tested with BUILD_TIMELESS=1, Lenovo ThinkPad X230 remains identical. Stefan thinks they don't add value. 2020-03-19nb/intel/sandybridge: Use loops on DMI register groupsAngel Pons
The DMI link consists of four lanes, grouped in two bundles. Therefore, some DMI registers may be organized as "per-lane" or "per-bundle". This can be seen in the DMI initialization sequence as series of equidistant offsets being programmed with the same value. Make this more obvious by factoring out the register groups using loops. With BUILD_TIMELESS=1, the binary of ASUS P8Z77-V LX2 remains identical. 2020-03-17src (minus soc and mainboard): Remove copyright noticesPatrick Georgi
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2019-05-16nb/intel/sandybridge: Move DMI init codePatrick Rudolph
Move the DMI initialization code to northbridge folder. Leave southbridge specific settings in bd82x6x folder and call it from northbridge code. Tested on Lenovo T520 (Intel Sandy Bridge). Still boots to OS, no errors visible in dmesg.
