2018-01-15Intel i5000 board & chips: Remove - using LATE_CBMEM_INITMartin Roth
All boards and chips that are still using LATE_CBMEM_INIT are being removed as previously discussed. It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address. Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we imported) looks out for that. As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. There were instances of unneeded arch/hlt.h includes, various hlt() calls that weren't supposed to exit (but might have) and various forms of endless loops around hlt() calls. All these are sorted out now: unnecessary includes are dropped, hlt() is uniformly replaced with halt() (except in assembly, obviously). Here's the great news: From now on you don't have to worry about hitting the right io.h include anymore. Just forget about romcc_io.h and use io.h instead. This cleanup has a number of advantages, like you don't have to guard device/ includes for SMM and pre RAM anymore. This allows to get rid of a number of ifdefs and will generally make the code more readable and understandable. Potentially in the future some of the code in the io.h __PRE_RAM__ path should move to device.h or other device/ includes instead, but that's another incremental change.
