2021-01-27ACPI: Add top-level ASLKyösti Mälkki
Objects that are created with acpigen need to be declared with External () for the generation of dsdt.asl to pass iasl without errors. There are some objects that are common to all platforms, and some that should be declared only conditionally. Having a top-level ASL helps to achieve this. 2020-05-02acpi: Move ACPI table support out of arch/x86 (3/5)Furquan Shaikh
This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own directory. In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into multiple CLs. They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2019-11-01soc/intel/{IA-CPU/SOC}: Move sleepstates.asl into southbridge/intel/common/acpiSubrata Banik
This patch creates a common instance of sleepstates.asl inside intel common code (southbridge/intel/common/acpi) and asks all IA CPU/SOC code to refer sleepstates.asl from common code block. TEST=Able to build and boot Hatch and ICL DE system. Dump DSDT.asl to verify S0/S3/S4/S5 entries after booting to OS. 2018-12-29mainboard: Add Supermicro X10SLM+-FTristan Corrick
This board runs well with coreboot. The documentation part of this commit lists what works and what doesn't. Tested with GRUB 2.02 as a payload, loading SeaBIOS 1.12.0 which then boots FreeBSD 11.2. It has also been tested with GRUB directly booting Debian GNU/Linux 9.6 (kernel 4.9).
