2020-05-11treewide: Remove "this file is part of" linesPatrick Georgi
Stefan thinks they don't add value. Command used: sed -i -e '/file is part of /d' $(git grep "file is part of " |egrep ":( */\*.*\*/\$|#|;#|-- | *\* )" | cut -d: -f1 |grep -v crossgcc |grep -v gcov | grep -v /elf.h |grep -v nvramtool) The exceptions are for: - crossgcc (patch file) - gcov (imported from gcc) - elf.h (imported from GNU's libc) - nvramtool (more complicated header) The removed lines are: - fmt.Fprintln(f, "/* This file is part of the coreboot project. */") -# This file is part of a set of unofficial pre-commit hooks available -/* This file is part of coreboot */ -# This file is part of msrtool. -/* This file is part of msrtool. */ - * This file is part of ncurses, designed to be appended after curses.h.in -/* This file is part of pgtblgen. */ - * This file is part of the coreboot project. - /* This file is part of the coreboot project. */ -# This file is part of the coreboot project. -# This file is part of the coreboot project. -## This file is part of the coreboot project. --- This file is part of the coreboot project. -/* This file is part of the coreboot project */ -/* This file is part of the coreboot project. */ -;## This file is part of the coreboot project. -# This file is part of the coreboot project. 2020-03-18mainboard/[g-p]*: Remove copyright noticesPatrick Georgi
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2020-03-17mb/purism: remove duplicate ACPI power buttonMatt DeVillier
These platforms use the standard fixed function power button and do not need a second power button device declared or the kernel will end up with two devices reporting the same event. Same change was applied to all google mainboards in CB:27272 which contains more detail. 2020-02-17ec/purism/librem: Add ACPI temp reportingMatt DeVillier
Add EC ACPI reporting of current temp and platform critical temp. Adapted from ACPI dump of ODM AMI firmware. TEST: check reporting of current/critical temps via lm-sensors from ACPI on Librem 13v1 and 13v4 boards. 2018-03-26ec/purism: Fix CPU Turbo value (PPCM) set by the ECYouness Alaoui
The EC needs to set the PPCM value depending on whether Turbo is enabled or not, and the values differ between Broadwell (0, 1) and Skylake (1, 2) platforms. 2017-10-26purism/librem13v2: convert to variant setupMatt DeVillier
Convert the Purism Librem13v2 board to a variant setup, in preparation of adding the librem15v3 as a new variant. The 13v2 and 15v3 are nearly identical, so this minimizes new code to add support for the latter.
