2023-05-21nb/intel/gm45/gma: Centralize call to gm45_get_lvds_edid_str()Nico Huber
There is only a single place where we need the LVDS EDID string. Let's call gm45_get_lvds_edid_str() right there. This simplifies the API and helps to follow the execution flow. The function is moved to avoid a forward declaration. 2023-05-21nb/intel/gm45/gma: Probe PCI resource once and firstNico Huber
The PCI resource should only be probed as part of the device .init process. We can simply do that first and know that we can use the global `gtt_res` from then on. This simplifies the signature of gm45_get_lvds_edid_str(), and makes changes to the API user (lenovo/x200) necessary. 2023-04-13mb/lenovo/x200/blc: Add LTN121AT07-L02 at 750HzBill XIE
Its EDID string is "LTN121AT07L02". The vendor sets BLC_PWM_CTL to 0x31313131. This frequency seems working well on the x200 with this panel, which is said to be LED. 2023-04-11mb/lenovo/x200: Read EDID in mainboard_vbt_filename()Bill XIE
mainboard_vbt_filename() used to assume that it is called after a call to get_blc_pwm_freq_value() with a valid parameter, but currently it is the first call of get_blc_pwm_freq_value(NULL), and will return 0, so "data_led.vbt" is always returned, regardless of the actual type of the panel. Combined with the previous commit, in this commit mainboard_vbt_filename() will explicitly read EDID string via gm45_get_lvds_edid_str() and use this string to call get_blc_pwm_freq_value(). 2020-03-18mainboard/[g-p]*: Remove copyright noticesPatrick Georgi
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. Linux however sticks with the setting set by the firmware. Tested on Lenovo X200 with CCFL backlight. 2017-05-03nb/intel/gm45: Set display backlight according to EDID stringArthur Heymans
Add some known good values for some thinkpads displays. Known good means that at this pwm frequency the display is evenly lit on all duty cycles, the display makes minimal to no noise at lower duty cycles and the display does not flicker. This values differs from vendor (which uses an obviously wrong display clock (190MHz instead of 320MHz) resulting in frequency more than 60% off the intended value. TESTED on Thinkpad X200 with edid ascii string in list and removed from list to see if notice message is shown.
