2020-12-02cbfs: Enable CBFS mcache on most chipsetsJulius Werner
This patch flips the default of CONFIG_NO_CBFS_MCACHE so the feature is enabled by default. Some older chipsets with insufficient SRAM/CAR space still have it explicitly disabled. All others get the new section added to their memlayout... 8K seems like a sane default to start with. 2020-06-19Kconfig: Escape variable to accommodate new Kconfig versionsPatrick Georgi
Kconfig 4.17 started using the $(..) syntax for environment variable expansion while we want to keep expansion to the build system. Older Kconfig versions (like ours) simply drop the escapes, not changing the behavior. While we could let Kconfig expand some of the variables, that only splits the handling in two places, making debugging harder and potentially messing with reproducible builds (e.g. when paths end up in configs), so escape them all. 2020-04-14mainboard/lenovo: Use the original hardware ids for keyboard/pointingdalao
Currently coreboot is using the compatible ID PNP0303 for all keyboards and PNP0F13 for all pointing devices, which causes some problems. On Windows, the touchpad driver can't be automatically matched and installed through Windows Update. On Linux, there are some strange issues. So it's better to use the original hardware IDs for each model. 2019-11-12ec/lenovo/h8: Make dock init in ramstage fully mainboard-specificBill XIE
Discussed in CB:36093, in the past many lenovo boards need to declare an empty h8_mainboard_init_dock() to satisfy h8.c. Now the confusing H8_DOCK_EARLY_INIT might be retired, and if a mainboard needs dock init (done with h8_mainboard_init_dock() in the past) in ramstage, (discussed in CB:4294 where H8_DOCK_EARLY_INIT is introduced) it can just do it in its own chip_ops.enable_dev function. Tested on X200. Testing on other affected targets may be necessary. 2019-03-06ec/lenovo/h8: Implement ACPI methods to set battery thresholdsAlexey Kharlamov
There are two known reverse-engineered ways to manage battery thresholds. This patch implements them and adds a way to enable them for different mainboards. Tested on W530 with 4.18.3-gentoo kernel and X220 with 4.20.11. Works fine with new Linux userspace API for controlling battery thresholds, available since 4.17. (/sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/charge_(start|stop)_threshold). The new API is supported by TLP (you might need to set NATACPI_ENABLE=1 in /etc/tlp.conf). tpacpi-bat works fine too. Libgfxinit provides a better alternative to the native C init. While libgfxinit mandates an ada compiler, we want to encourage use of it since it is in much better shape and is actually maintained. This way libgfxinit also gets build-tested by Jenkins. 2017-03-11lenovo/t400: Rewrite dock from t60Kyösti Mälkki
Old dock.c copied from x201 was incorrect. Do a rewrite of t60 dock code as pnp devices. Fixes USB and serial on the dock, if it is already connected when computer is powered on. DVI and ethernet worked without this patch. Hot-plug is yet to be fixed. The hybrid driver select by DRIVERS_LENOVO_HYBRID_GRAPHICS doesn't work for t400/t500. Replace it with a custom romstage implementation. 2016-06-01drivers/lenovo: Add hybrid graphics driverPatrick Rudolph
Add a universal hybrid graphics driver compatible with all supported lenovo devices. Hybrid graphics allows to connect the display panel to either of one GPUs. As there are only two GPUs one GPIO needs to be toggled. In case the discrete GPU is activated the panel is routed to it. On deactivation the panel is routed to the integrated GPU. On lenovo laptops the dGPU is always connected to PEG10 and it is save to disable the PEG slot on dGPU deactivation. Use common gpio.c for southbridge I82801IX. Tested on Lenovo T520 using Nvidia NVS 5200m. Removed Lenovo T430s from the list of supported devices, as the T430s only supports "muxless Optimus". 2016-03-15lenovo: add config ONBOARD_VGA_IS_PRIMARYPatrick Rudolph
Fix for the T4xx and T5xx series. It does not apply to X2xx/X6x series as those have only one GPU, which is always connected to the display. The T6x series needs special care not handled with this patch. Without ONBOARD_VGA_IS_PRIMARY the onboard GPU would be deactivated in case a dedicated GPU is found and active, leaving the system without a working display. If any path in a method returns a value, IASL expects that all paths within that method will return a value. Presumably, the ATPX would not need a return value if Arg0 is anything other than 0, so just return a zero. - Serialize ATPX method to make IASL happy. This means that it can only be used by one thread at a time.
