2024-02-23arch/x86/ioapic: use uintptr_t for IOAPIC base addressFelix Held
Use uintptr_t for the IOAPIC base parameter of the various IOAPIC- related functions to avoid needing type casts in the callers. This also allows dropping the VIO_APIC_VADDR define and consistently use the IO_APIC_ADDR define instead. 2024-01-24mb/hp to mb/kontron: Rename Makefiles from .inc to .mkMartin Roth
The .inc suffix is confusing to various tools as it's not specific to Makefiles. This means that editors don't recognize the files, and don't open them with highlighting and any other specific editor functionality. This issue is also seen in the release notes generation script where Makefiles get renamed before running cloc. 2023-11-12mainboards: Drop stale comment about enumerate_buses()Nico Huber
There is no enumerate_buses() today and also no trace of it in our repository. Also, in current terms, mainboard_enable() is called as the very first thing in our enumeration so the comment seems misleading. 2023-08-06mainboard: Add SPDX license headers to MakefilesMartin Roth
To help identify the licenses of the various files contained in the coreboot source, we've added SPDX headers to the top of all of the .c and .h files. This extends that practice to Makefiles. Any file in the coreboot project without a specific license is bound to the license of the overall coreboot project, GPL Version 2. This patch adds the GPL V2 license identifier to the top of all makefiles in the mainboard directory that don't already have an SPDX license line at the top. Note that every dropped `_PRS` object only provides one set of resource settings, which is identical to the resource settings provided by the `_CRS` object. The no-op `_DIS` methods can also be removed for the same reason. Also, drop `IGNORE_IASL_MISSING_DEPENDENCY` as it's no longer needed. 2021-10-15mainboard: Drop invalid `VGA_BIOS_FILE` defaultsAngel Pons
If the VGA BIOS file path for `VGA_BIOS_FILE` in a mainboard's Kconfig does not exist in the coreboot tree (including submodules), drop it. These files should be stored in the `site-local` subdirectory and the paths specified for each board in `site-local/Kconfig`. For example: config VGA_BIOS_FILE default "site-local/x200_vbios.bin" if BOARD_LENOVO_X200 Note that this is just an example. There are better ways to structure one's `site-local` subfolder. Using the `CONFIG_MAINBOARD_DIR` option would be one of them, though variants may still need special handling. Also, update autoport to not generate `VGA_BIOS_FILE` defaults. 2020-05-02acpi: Move ACPI table support out of arch/x86 (3/5)Furquan Shaikh
This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own directory. In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into multiple CLs. This is change 3/5 which basically is generated by running the following command: $ git grep -iIl "arch/acpi" | xargs sed -i 's/arch\/acpi/acpi\/acpi/g' BUG=b:155428745 Change-Id: I16b1c45d954d6440fb9db1d3710063a47b582eae Signed-off-by: Furquan Shaikh <furquan@google.com> Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/40938 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) <no-reply@coreboot.org> Reviewed-by: HAOUAS Elyes <ehaouas@noos.fr>

2020-03-18mainboard/[g-p]*: Remove copyright noticesPatrick Georgi
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2019-10-01mb/kontron/986lcd-m: Add gameport base allocation workaroundPetr Cvek
A missing definition of gameport base (PNP io 0x60) will cause an automatic address assignment during PCI/PNP enumeration, which won't obey limit 0x7ff. This will cause the enumeration to fail as other devices already have the values enabled. The symptoms are: not working USB, PS/2, garbled UART console, not working PCIe GPUs and crashes. Probably because of wrongly assigned IO ports. Example of log (shortened): Done reading resources. Setting resources... !!
