2020-03-25acpi: correct the processor devices scopeMichał Żygowski
The ACPI Spec 2.0 states, that Processor declarations should be made within the ACPI namespace \_SB and not \_PR anymore. \_PR is deprecated and is removed here. Additionally add processor scope patching for P-State SSDT created by AGESA, becasue AGESA creates the tables with processors in \_PR scope. TEST=boot Debian Linux on PC Engines apu2, check dmesg that there are no errors, decompile ACPI tables with acpica to check whether the processor scope is correct and if IASL does not complain on wrong checksum, run FWTS Signed-off-by: Michał Żygowski <michal.zygowski@3mdeb.com> Change-Id: I35f112e9f9f15f06ddb83b4192f082f9e51a969c Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/39698 Reviewed-by: Angel Pons <th3fanbus@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: HAOUAS Elyes <ehaouas@noos.fr> Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) <no-reply@coreboot.org>
2020-03-18mainboard/[g-p]*: Remove copyright noticesPatrick Georgi
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2019-12-15AGESA: Disable boards from buildKyösti Mälkki
As per the 4.11 release requirement, C_ENVIRONMENT_BOOTBLOCK=y is a mandatory feature, which most AGESA and binaryPI boards lack. Disable such platforms from the build for the time being. The Kconfig symbol has been flipped, ROMCC_BOOTBLOCK=n is the same mandated feature as C_ENVIRONMENT_BOOTBLOCK=y. If a platform does not reach ROMCC_BOOTBLOCK=n within a reasonable timeframe both the mainboard and the respective unused platform support code will get removed. Assembly implementation needs to follow one day. This effectively removes PORT80 routing from boards with ROMCC_BOOTBLOCK. SSFG was meant to be used as a mask to enable sleep states _S1 thru _S4. However as a logical instead of bitwise 'and' operation was used, all the states were enabled if only one was marked available. State _S3 is now set conditionally if HAVE_ACPI_RESUME=y. For pi/hudson this had been fixed already preprocessor. Note that all boards had SSFG == 0x0D that previously enabled ACPI S3 sleep state even when it was not available. States _S1 and _S2 still appear enabled in ASL/AML but may not actually work. TEST: 'cat /sys/power/state' and notice choice 'mem' was removed from the list of available sleep states. 2016-08-17mainboard: Clean up boot_option/reboot_bits in cmos.layoutNico Huber
Since commit 3bfd7cc (drivers/pc80: Rework normal / fallback selector code) the reboot counter stored in `reboot_bits` isn't reset on a reboot with `boot_option = 1` any more. Hence, with SKIP_MAX_REBOOT_CNT_CLEAR enabled, later stages (e.g. payload, OS) have to clear the counter too, when they want to switch to normal boot. So change the bits to (h)ex instead of (r)eserved. To clarify their meaning, rename `reboot_bits` to `reboot_counter`. Also remove all occurences of the obsolete `last_boot` bit that have sneaked in again since 24391321 (mainboard: Remove last_boot NVRAM option). As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a new lease, but can drop the address instead. util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that we may want to synchronize every now and then. $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin St, Fifth Floor, Boston, *MA[, ]*02110-1301[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin Street, Suite 500, Boston, MA 02110-1335, USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 59 Temple Place[-, ]*Suite 330, Boston, MA *02111-1307[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 675 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139, USA.:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -a \! -name \*.patch \ -a \! -name \*_shipped \ -a \! -name LICENSE_GPL \ -a \! -name LGPL.txt \ -a \! -name COPYING \ -a \! -name DISCLAIMER \ -exec sed -i "/Foundation, Inc./ N;s:Foundation, Inc.* USA\.* *:Foundation, Inc. :;s:Foundation, Inc. $:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + Change-Id: Icc968a5a5f3a5df8d32b940f9cdb35350654bef9 Signed-off-by: Patrick Georgi <pgeorgi@chromium.org> Reviewed-on: http://review.coreboot.org/9233 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Vladimir Serbinenko <phcoder@gmail.com>

This change switches all southbridge vendors and southbridges to be autoincluded by Makefile.inc, rather than having to be mentioned explicitly in southbridge/Makefile.inc or in southbridge/<vendor>/Makefile.inc. In order to be able to drop southbridge/amd/Makefile.inc, some scattered source files had to be moved to a southbridge/amd/common directory, in accordance to what we are doing on other architectures already. This means, vendor and southbridge directories are now "drop in", e.g. be placed in the coreboot directory hierarchy without having to modify any higher level coreboot files. The long term plan is to enable out of tree components to be built with a given coreboot version (given that the API did not change). 2015-01-05hp/abm: Add new mainboardDave Frodin
The hp/abm board is used in network/server applications. Notes: - The hp/abm board is headless and therefore does not define CONFIG_GFXUMA, and does not require a video bios. - The micro USB connector on the board edge is connected to COM4 (i.e. I/O=2E8h). Coreboot needs to be configured to use Index=3. - If you are using SeaBIOS it would also need to be configured to use the UART at I/O=2E8h. - This board has been tested with headless installed versions of Ubuntu 12.10 and Fedora 19.
