2020-05-02acpi: Move ACPI table support out of arch/x86 (3/5)Furquan Shaikh
This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own directory. In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into multiple CLs. This is change 3/5 which basically is generated by running the following command: $ git grep -iIl "arch/acpi" | xargs sed -i 's/arch\/acpi/acpi\/acpi/g' BUG=b:155428745 Change-Id: I16b1c45d954d6440fb9db1d3710063a47b582eae Signed-off-by: Furquan Shaikh <furquan@google.com> Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/40938 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) <no-reply@coreboot.org> Reviewed-by: HAOUAS Elyes <ehaouas@noos.fr>

2020-03-25acpi: correct the processor devices scopeMichał Żygowski
The ACPI Spec 2.0 states, that Processor declarations should be made within the ACPI namespace \_SB and not \_PR anymore. \_PR is deprecated and is removed here. Additionally add processor scope patching for P-State SSDT created by AGESA, becasue AGESA creates the tables with processors in \_PR scope. TEST=boot Debian Linux on PC Engines apu2, check dmesg that there are no errors, decompile ACPI tables with acpica to check whether the processor scope is correct and if IASL does not complain on wrong checksum, run FWTS Signed-off-by: Michał Żygowski <michal.zygowski@3mdeb.com> Change-Id: I35f112e9f9f15f06ddb83b4192f082f9e51a969c Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/39698 Reviewed-by: Angel Pons <th3fanbus@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: HAOUAS Elyes <ehaouas@noos.fr> Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) <no-reply@coreboot.org>
2020-03-18mainboard/[g-p]*: Remove copyright noticesPatrick Georgi
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2017-08-23AGESA binaryPI: Consolidate and fix sleep statesKyösti Mälkki
SSFG was meant to be used as a mask to enable sleep states _S1 thru _S4. However as a logical instead of bitwise 'and' operation was used, all the states were enabled if only one was marked available. State _S3 is now set conditionally if HAVE_ACPI_RESUME=y. For pi/hudson this had been fixed already preprocessor. Note that all boards had SSFG == 0x0D that previously enabled ACPI S3 sleep state even when it was not available. States _S1 and _S2 still appear enabled in ASL/AML but may not actually work. TEST: 'cat /sys/power/state' and notice choice 'mem' was removed from the list of available sleep states. 2015-10-31tree: drop last paragraph of GPL copyright headerPatrick Georgi
It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address. Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we imported) looks out for that. This is the result of util/scripts/no-fsf-addresses.sh with no further editing. 2015-05-21Remove address from GPLv2 headersPatrick Georgi
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a new lease, but can drop the address instead. util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that we may want to synchronize every now and then. $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin St, Fifth Floor, Boston, *MA[, ]*02110-1301[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin Street, Suite 500, Boston, MA 02110-1335, USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 59 Temple Place[-, ]*Suite 330, Boston, MA *02111-1307[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 675 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139, USA.:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -a \! -name \*.patch \ -a \! -name \*_shipped \ -a \! -name LICENSE_GPL \ -a \! -name LGPL.txt \ -a \! -name COPYING \ -a \! -name DISCLAIMER \ -exec sed -i "/Foundation, Inc./ N;s:Foundation, Inc.* USA\.* *:Foundation, Inc. :;s:Foundation, Inc. $:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + Change-Id: Icc968a5a5f3a5df8d32b940f9cdb35350654bef9 Signed-off-by: Patrick Georgi <pgeorgi@chromium.org> Reviewed-on: http://review.coreboot.org/9233 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Vladimir Serbinenko <phcoder@gmail.com>
2015-01-05hp/abm: Add new mainboardDave Frodin
The hp/abm board is used in network/server applications. Notes: - The hp/abm board is headless and therefore does not define CONFIG_GFXUMA, and does not require a video bios. - The micro USB connector on the board edge is connected to COM4 (i.e. I/O=2E8h). Coreboot needs to be configured to use Index=3. - If you are using SeaBIOS it would also need to be configured to use the UART at I/O=2E8h. - This board has been tested with headless installed versions of Ubuntu 12.10 and Fedora 19.
