2018-11-01sb/intel/common: Create a common implementation of `acpi_fill_madt()`Tristan Corrick
The function `acpi_fill_madt()` is identical among all the Lynx Point boards and sb/intel/bd82x6x, so share a common function between them. Earlier Intel platforms have similar implementations of this function. The common implementation might only need minor alterations to support them. Tested on an ASRock H81M-HDS and Google Peppy (variant of Slippy). No issues arose from this patch. Old igd.asl had inconsistent addresses (between _DOD and actual device) and ghost devices. Any of those is enough to make brightness on windows fail and make igd.asl out-of-ACPI-spec. Also old code favoured ridiculous copying of the same thing 6 times per chipset. Leave only hooking up and chipset-specific part in chipset directory. Move NVS handling and ACPI-spec parts to a common file. As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. 2013-11-25lynxpoint: Change SerialIO device enable reporting to ACPIDuncan Laurie
In order to report whether coreboot enabled a SerialIO device in ACPI mode we had been relying on reading NVS in the _STA method for the SerialIO device. The ACPI _STA method has restrictions on what it can access and is unable to access OperationRegions outside its scope which means it should not be trying to read NVS. This change adds a new SSDT to the ACPI tables and fills it with constants that indicate whether or not a device is enabled in ACPI mode. The ACPI code is changed to read these variables from the SSDT and use that instead of trying to query a variable in NVS. Attempt to use lpt-clk driver to probe the device clocks for SerialIO devices and see that the kernel does not complain about accessing the GNVS region.
