APIC was not referenced anywhere in ASL. MPEN has references under boards: getac/p470, roda/rk9, roda/rk886ex. MPEN has reference also in Intel SpeedStep ASL. Replace static MPEN with detection of multiple CPUs installed. 2021-01-18ACPI: Select ACPI_SOC_NVS only where suitableKyösti Mälkki
Having some symmetry with <soc/nvs.h> now allows to reduce the amount of gluelogic to determine the size and cbmc field of struct global_nvs. Since GNVS creation is now controlled by ACPI_SOC_NVS, drivers/amd/agesa/nvs.c becomes obsolete and soc/amd/cezanne cannot have this selected until <soc/nvs.h> exists. Advertising SMI triggers in FADT is only valid if we exit with SMI installed. There has been some experiments to delay SMM installation to OS, yet there are new platforms that allow some configuration access only to be done inside SMM. Splitting static HAVE_SMI_HANDLER variable helps to manage cases where SMM might be both installed and cleared prior to entering payload. If running on older (like before 2.4.0) version of QEMU there is no SMI support, so never advertise SMI in FADT for the emulation. Behaviour if ACPI daemon tries to raise SMI under these conditions is unknown. 2020-05-02acpi: Move ACPI table support out of arch/x86 (3/5)Furquan Shaikh
This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own directory. In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into multiple CLs. 2020-04-13acpi: Bump FADT to revision 6Patrick Rudolph
Some of the revision 4 FADT fields were already updated to ACPI spec revision 6, but not all of them. In addition the advertised FADT revision was 3. Implement all fields as defined in version 6 and bump the advertised FADT revision to 6. Also set all used access_size fields and x_gpe0_blk to sane values as Windows 10 verifies those fields starting with FADT revision 5. They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2019-03-01ACPI: Rename FADT model and set it to zeroElyes HAOUAS
INT_MODEL defined in ACPI 1.0 and renamed to reserved since V 2.0. The value for this field is zero but 1 is allowed to maintain compatibility with ACPI 1.0. So set this value to zero as we are using greater version than ACPI 1.0. As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. 2013-11-15qemu: load acpi tables from fw_cfg.Gerd Hoffmann
Starting with release 1.7 qemu provides acpi tables via fw_cfg. Main advantage is that new (virtual) hardware which needs acpi support JustWorks[tm] without having to patch & update the firmware (seabios, coreboot, ...) accordingly. So if we find acpi tables in fw_cfg try loading them, otherwise fallback to the builtin acpi tables.
