2017-03-07mainboard/asus: Add F2A85-M PRO variant to F2A85-M.Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli
Status: - The primary PCIe 16x slot works: It was tested with a GPU compatible with nouveau - USB and audio are not very reliable - The ethernet card is not seen with lspci - The secondary pcie16x slot isn't working: When plugging a GPU inside, it's not seen with lspci - SATA works: The board fully boots GNU/Linux - Serial doesn't work - Populating the RAM slots might have to follow the recommended memory configuration that is described in the mainboard manual in order to be able to boot. Note that when running the shutdown command, the default boot firmware will rewrite part of the boot flash before powering off the machine. Flashing coreboot internally from the default boot fimrware can still work, if the power plug is removed after running flashrom. 2015-10-31tree: drop last paragraph of GPL copyright headerPatrick Georgi
It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address. Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we imported) looks out for that. This is the result of util/scripts/no-fsf-addresses.sh with no further editing. 2015-05-21Remove address from GPLv2 headersPatrick Georgi
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a new lease, but can drop the address instead. util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that we may want to synchronize every now and then. $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin St, Fifth Floor, Boston, *MA[, ]*02110-1301[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin Street, Suite 500, Boston, MA 02110-1335, USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 59 Temple Place[-, ]*Suite 330, Boston, MA *02111-1307[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 675 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139, USA.:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -a \! -name \*.patch \ -a \! -name \*_shipped \ -a \! -name LICENSE_GPL \ -a \! -name LGPL.txt \ -a \! -name COPYING \ -a \! -name DISCLAIMER \ -exec sed -i "/Foundation, Inc./ N;s:Foundation, Inc.* USA\.* *:Foundation, Inc. :;s:Foundation, Inc. $:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + Change-Id: Icc968a5a5f3a5df8d32b940f9cdb35350654bef9 Signed-off-by: Patrick Georgi <pgeorgi@chromium.org> Reviewed-on: http://review.coreboot.org/9233 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Vladimir Serbinenko <phcoder@gmail.com>
2014-11-11mainboard/asus/f2a85-m: Correct APIC routing for Bus 0, Dev 21Tobias Diedrich
The "Bus 0, Dev 21 PCIE Bridge" entry doesn't match the DSDT from my BIOS. It looks like this entry was erroneously copied from the entry for "Bus 0, Dev 20" without rotating the IRQ numbers. The other entries match my ASUS BIOS and the usual rotation pattern. 2013-08-08ASUS F2A85-M: Split DSDT into common sections (as per Parmer)Kimarie Hoot
Rearranged the F2A85-M DSDT file to match the functionality found on Parmer. As with the Parmer implementation, the F2A85-M dsdt.asl file in the mainboard directory contains only #include references to the appropriate files. As with Parmer, some include files have no content but are left as a template for other platforms and as placeholders for completing the ACPI implementation for F2A85-M. In commit Rudolf Marek discovered, that it is not uniformly written. As »ASL names are not case-sensitive and will be converted to upper case.« [2] this change does not have any functional change. The following command was used to create this patch. $ git grep -l 'package()' src/mainboard | xargs sed -i 's,package(),Package(),' [1] http://review.coreboot.org/#/c/3318/ [2] http://www.acpi.info/spec40a.htm (18.2.1 ASL Names) Change-Id: I1784dbc50936a1ef9d4376209a3c324ef1fb85cf Signed-off-by: Paul Menzel <paulepanter@users.sourceforge.net> Reviewed-on: http://review.coreboot.org/3516 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Marc Jones <marc.jones@se-eng.com>
2013-03-22Add support for ASUS F2A85-M boardRudolf Marek
The patch is based on Thatcher board. So far it boots Linux (3.2/3.7), internal network adapter works, AHCI works. External PCI/PCIe slots works too. Power management/ACPI seems to work. Internal VGA works with dumped ROM (VGA/DVI), but lacks GART. PCI pref devices are being relocated by Linux, reason unknown. This is a good start. USB and XHCI untested but visible.
