The way dispatcher table is set up prevents linker from optimizing unused code away, we currently have raminit in ramstage. Optimize this manually by configuring AGESA_ENTRY booleans for romstage and ramstage separately. This will remove references in FuncParamsInfo and DispatchTable -arrays. All boards now include multi-core dispatcher, it has minimal footprint: AGESA_ENTRY_LATE_RUN_AP_TASK ACPI S3 support depends on HAVE_ACPI_RESUME being enabled: AGESA_ENTRY_INIT_RESUME AGESA_ENTRY_INIT_LATE_RESTORE AGESA_ENTRY_INIT_S3SAVE Disabled for all boards as it was not used: AGESA_ENTRY_INIT_GENERAL_SERVICES Change-Id: I7ec36a5819a8e526cbeb87b04dce4227a1689285 Signed-off-by: Kyösti Mälkki <kyosti.malkki@gmail.com> Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/14417 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Martin Roth <martinroth@google.com>

2015-12-16southbridge/amd/sb600: Update HPET base address with #defineMartin Roth
The SB600 code had the base address of the HPET hardcoded throughout. It looks like the plan was to have it be updated in ACPI if needed, but this wasn't ever implemented. The variable names being used to do this update were the same, causing an IASL warning. Because of this, the operation to update the HPET address actually did nothing. This was fine, because it didn't actually need to be updated. - Replace all that code with a #define. - Add and update some comments in the same area. Fixes IASL warning: dsdt.aml 1505: Store(HPBA, HPBA) Warning 3023 - ^ Duplicate value in list (Source is the same as Target) Change-Id: I9ba5fe226a4a464e0045ce7d3406898760df5e5a Signed-off-by: Martin Roth <martinroth@google.com> Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/12705 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Timothy Pearson <tpearson@raptorengineeringinc.com>

2015-12-10ACPI: Work around IASL warning reading/writing same registerMartin Roth
The newer versions of IASL are unhappy when an operator has the same object as both source and destination. The warning can be completely disabled with a command line argument, but in general, I'd really rather not just disable warnings. The bits in this register are write 1 to clear, so reading and writing the same register is what we want to do. Instead, store it in a temporary register then write it in a second operation. Fixes warning: dsdt.aml 1396: Store(PWST, PWST) Warning 3023 - ^ Duplicate value in list (Source is the same as Target) Change-Id: I52d73d4431db237be83016d67cd397f31b53d9c6 Signed-off-by: Martin Roth <martinroth@google.com> Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/12691 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Stefan Reinauer <stefan.reinauer@coreboot.org>

2015-11-24AMD/bettong: Add UART supportZheng Bao
The function delay in uart8250mem.c is not enough for hudson. I guess there are some problems in lapic_timer(). I uploaded a patch to gerrit to show the way to enable UART feature. http://review.coreboot.org/#/c/12343/4 Currently the HUDSON_UART is unchecked by default. Select HUDSON_UART to enable this feature. The UART is test at BIOS stage. Since it is not a standart UART device, the windows internal UART driver doesnt support it. I guess we need a driver to use it on windows. 2015-09-30amd/family14: Add k10temp thermal zone.Tobias Diedrich
The thermal sensor interface exposed in function 3 of the northbridge is a more convenient and faster way to access the processor-internal thermal sensor than using the SMBus/SB-TSI interface from the FCH, see the Family14 BKDG: "Tctl is a processor temperature control value used for processor thermal management. Tctl is accessible through SB-TSI and D18F3xA4[CurTmp]. Tctl is a temperature on its own scale aligned to the processors cooling requirements" Also on at least some of these boards the existing thermal zone is broken and always returns 40C (the default value if the SMBus read failed) because the SMBus muxing register (SmBus0Sel) is not set up correctly. Case in point: The fallback "smbus read failed" temperature is 40 C and the the logs taken from the board status repository for the Asrock E350M1 board all show: "ACPI: Thermal Zone [TZ00] (40 C)" e.g. http://review.coreboot.org/gitweb?p=board-status.git;a=blob;f=asrock/e350m1/4.0-5054-gf584218/2013-12-20T20:56:20Z/kernel_log.txt#l390 and http://review.coreboot.org/gitweb?p=board-status.git;a=blob;f=asrock/e350m1/4.0-7030-g6d7de4f/2014-10-16T15:34:19Z/kernel_console.txt#l404 and http://review.coreboot.org/gitweb?p=board-status.git;a=blob;f=asrock/e350m1/4.0-9989-gf2dfef0/2015-06-13T00:22:49Z/kernel_log.txt#l425 Example lm-sensors output with this patch on the pcengines APU1, on Linux 4.1.0-rc8+ (wiht both CONFIG_ACPI_THERMAL and CONFIG_SENSORS_K10TEMP enabled): acpitz-virtual-0 Adapter: Virtual device temp1: +54.0 C (crit = +100.0 C) k10temp-pci-00c3 Adapter: PCI adapter temp1: +54.0 C (high = +70.0 C) (crit = +100.0 C, hyst = +97.0 C) Change-Id: Id9c5b783ba424246816677099ec6651814e59f21 Signed-off-by: Tobias Diedrich <ranma+coreboot@tdiedrich.de> Reviewed-on: http://review.coreboot.org/10940 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Paul Menzel <paulepanter@users.sourceforge.net> Reviewed-by: Patrick Georgi <pgeorgi@google.com>

As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a new lease, but can drop the address instead. util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that we may want to synchronize every now and then. $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin St, Fifth Floor, Boston, *MA[, ]*02110-1301[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin Street, Suite 500, Boston, MA 02110-1335, USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 59 Temple Place[-, ]*Suite 330, Boston, MA *02111-1307[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 675 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139, USA.:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -a \! -name \*.patch \ -a \! -name \*_shipped \ -a \! -name LICENSE_GPL \ -a \! -name LGPL.txt \ -a \! -name COPYING \ -a \! -name DISCLAIMER \ -exec sed -i "/Foundation, Inc./ N;s:Foundation, Inc.* USA\.* *:Foundation, Inc. :;s:Foundation, Inc. $:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + Change-Id: Icc968a5a5f3a5df8d32b940f9cdb35350654bef9 Signed-off-by: Patrick Georgi <pgeorgi@chromium.org> Reviewed-on: http://review.coreboot.org/9233 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Vladimir Serbinenko <phcoder@gmail.com>

To move 3rdparty to 3rdparty/blobs (ie. below itself from git's broken perspective), we need to work around it - since some git implementations don't like the direct approach. 2015-04-27kbuild: automatically include southbridgesStefan Reinauer
This change switches all southbridge vendors and southbridges to be autoincluded by Makefile.inc, rather than having to be mentioned explicitly in southbridge/Makefile.inc or in southbridge/<vendor>/Makefile.inc. In order to be able to drop southbridge/amd/Makefile.inc, some scattered source files had to be moved to a southbridge/amd/common directory, in accordance to what we are doing on other architectures already. This means, vendor and southbridge directories are now "drop in", e.g. be placed in the coreboot directory hierarchy without having to modify any higher level coreboot files. The long term plan is to enable out of tree components to be built with a given coreboot version (given that the API did not change). 2015-04-21Unify byte order macros and clrsetbitsJulius Werner
This patch removes quite a bit of code duplication between cpu_to_le32() and clrsetbits_le32() style macros on the different architectures. This also syncs those macros back up to the new write32(a, v) style IO accessor macros that are now used on ARM and ARM64. CQ-DEPEND=CL:254862 BRANCH=none BUG=chromium:444723 TEST=Compiled Cosmos, Daisy, Blaze, Falco, Pinky, Pit, Rambi, Ryu, Storm and Urara. Booted on Jerry. Tried to compare binary images... unfortunately something about the new macro notation makes the compiler evaluate it more efficiently (not recalculating the address between the read and the write), so this was of limited value. mainboards/amd/fam10: Initialize cbmem area after raminit When GFXUMA is enabled, CBMEM is placed at TOM - UMASIZE When GFXUMA is disabled, CBMEM is placed at TOM This matches the behaviour present before conversion to early CBMEM. The CBMEM location code implicitly assumes TOM does not change between romstage and ramstage. TOM is set by romstage raminit, and is never changed by romstage or ramstage afterward. As the CBMEM location is positioned at a specific offset from TOM that is known to both romstage and ramstage early CBMEM is safe on Fam10h systems. TEST: Booted ASUS KFSN4-DRE and verified both cbmem timestamp tables from romstage and cbmem log tables from ramstage.
