This allows the compiler to optimize out code called after run_ramstage.
Also remove some die() statements in soc code as run_ramstage already
has a die_with_postcode statement.

There are too many "FIT" in firmware land. In order to reduce possible
confusion of CBFS_TYPE_FIT with the Intel Firmware Interface Table, this
patch renames it to CBFS_TYPE_FIT_PAYLOAD (including the cbfstool
argument, so calling scripts will now need to replace `-t fit` with `-t
fit_payload`).

This patch aims to make timestamps more consistent in naming,
to follow one pattern. Until now there were many naming patterns:
- TS_START_*/TS_END_*
- TS_BEFORE_*/TS_AFTER_*
- TS_*_START/TS_*_END
This change also aims to indicate, that these timestamps can be used
to create time-ranges, e.g. from TS_BOOTBLOCK_START to TS_BOOTBLOCK_END.

Now that CBFS has this functionality built in, we no longer need to
manually code it.
payload_preload used to use the payload_preload_cache region to store
the raw payload contents. This region was placed outside the firmware
reserved region, so it was available for use by the OS. This was
possible because the payload isn't loaded again on S3 resume.
cbfs_preload only uses the cbfs_cache region. This region must be
reserved because it gets used on the S3 resume path. Unfortunately this
means that cbfs_cache must be increased to hold the payload. Cezanne is
the only platform currently using payload_preload, and the size of
cbfs_cache has already been adjusted.
In the future we could look into adding an option to cbfs_preload that
would allow it to use a different memory pool for the cache allocation.

We had the addrspace_32bit rdev in prog_loaders.c for a while to help
represent memory ranges as an rdev, and we've found it useful for a
couple of things that have nothing to do with program loading. This
patch moves the concept straight into commonlib/region.c so it is no
longer anchored in such a weird place, and easier to use in unit tests.
Also expand the concept to the whole address space (there's no real need
to restrict it to 32 bits in 64-bit environments) and introduce an
rdev_chain_mem() helper function to make it a bit easier to use. Replace
some direct uses of struct mem_region_device with this new API where it
seems to make sense.

This patch rewrites the last few users of prog_locate() to access CBFS
APIs directly and removes the call. This eliminates the double-meaning
of prog_rdev() (referring to both the boot medium where the program is
stored before loading, and the memory area where it is loaded after) and
makes sure that programs are always located and loaded in a single
operation. This makes CBFS verification easier to implement and secure
because it avoids leaking a raw rdev of unverified data outside the CBFS
core code.

This patch removes the prog_locate() step for stages and rmodules.
Instead, the stage and rmodule loading functions will now perform the
locate step directly together with the actual loading. The long-term
goal of this is to eliminate prog_locate() (and the rdev member in
struct prog that it fills) completely in order to make CBFS verification
code safer and its security guarantees easier to follow. prog_locate()
is the main remaining use case where a raw rdev of CBFS file data
"leaks" out of cbfs.c into other code, and that other code needs to
manually make sure that the contents of the rdev get verified during
loading. By eliminating this step and moving all code that directly
deals with file data into cbfs.c, we can concentrate the code that needs
to worry about file data hashing (and needs access to cbfs_private.h
APIs) into one file, making it easier to keep track of and reason about.
This patch is the first step of this move, later patches will do the
same for SELFs and other program types.

A regression sneaked in with 18a8ba41cc (arch/x86: Remove RELOCATABLE_
RAMSTAGE). We want to call load_relocatable_ramstage() on x86, and
cbfs_prog_stage_load() on other architectures. But with the current
code the latter is also called on x86 if the former succeeded. Fix
that and also balance the if structure to make it more obvious.

They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example:
- What's a "Copyright $year-present"?
- Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current
copyright holder?
- People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even
though they only deleted stuff
- Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year,
because why not?
- Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"?
- Or "Generated Code"?
Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in
individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead
and use the git history to deal with the rest.

To prevent this vboot_prepare() is removed from the vboot_locator

If postcar stage doesn't exist then "end of romstage" timestamp will get
call while starting of ramstage as exist today.
TEST=It's been observed that "end of romstage" timestamp doesn't appear
in "cbmem -t" log when ramstage is not getting executed. As part of this fix
"end of romstage" timestamp is showing in "cbmem -t" log on Intel platform

The selfboot function was changed at some point to take a parameter
which meant "check the allocated descriptors to see if they target
regions of real memory."
The region check had to be buried deep in the last step of loading since
that is where those descriptors were created and used.
An issue with the use of the parameter was that it was not possible
for compilers to easily divine whether the check code was used,
and it was hence possible for the code, and its dependencies, to be
compiled in even if never used (which caused problems for the
rampayload code).
Now that bounce buffers are gone, we can hoist the check code
to the outermost level. Further, by creating a selfload_check
and selfload function, we can make it easy for compilers
to discard unused code: if selfload_check is never called, all
the code it uses can be discarded too.

Currently only hard_reset() is used by common code. We replace these
calls and provide a fall-back to the current hard_reset() implemen-
tation. The fall-back will be removed along with hard_reset() after the

Before multi-CBFS support was added, x86 platforms cached their
ramstage in TSEG so that it could be re-used on the resume
path. However, more resources/assets are being put in cbfs that are
utilized during ramstage. Just caching ramstage does not mean that
correct cbfs region is used for all the data. Thus, provide an option
to allow platforms to skip caching any component for resume.

instances in the boot media as well as stand-alone assets
sitting in each vboot RW slot. Remove the support for the
stand-alone assets and always use CBFS accesses as the
way to retrieve data.
This is implemented by adding a cbfs_locator object which
is queried for locating the current CBFS. Additionally, it
is also signalled prior to when a program is about to be
loaded by coreboot for the subsequent stage/payload. This
provides the same opportunity as previous for vboot to

One can remove the struct buffer_area and use the region_device
embedded in the struct prog to represent the in-memory loaded
program. Do this by introducing a addrspace_32bit mem_region_device
that can have region_device operations performed on it. The
addrspace_32bit name was chosen to make it explicit that 32-bits
of address space is supported at the max.

A new CBFS API is introduced to allow making CBFS access
easier for providing multiple CBFS sources. That is achieved
by decoupling the cbfs source from a CBFS file. A CBFS
source is described by a descriptor. It contains the necessary
properties for walking a CBFS to locate a file. The CBFS
file is then decoupled from the CBFS descriptor in that it's
no longer needed to access the contents of the file.
All of this is accomplished using the regions infrastructure
by repsenting CBFS sources and files as region_devices. Because
region_devices can be chained together forming subregions this
allows one to decouple a CBFS source from a file. This also allows
one to provide CBFS files that came from other sources for
payload and/or stage loading.
The program loading takes advantage of those very properties
by allowing multiple sources for locating a program. Because of
this we can reduce the overhead of loading programs because
it's all done in the common code paths. Only locating the
program is per source.
