The Kconfig lint tool checks for cases of the code using BOOL type
Kconfig options directly instead of with CONFIG() and will print out
warnings about it. It gets confused by these references in comments
and strings. To fix it so that it can find the real issues, just
update these as we would with real issues.

Currently coreboot is using the ec hardware id IBM0068 for all
thinkpads, but for newer thinkpads the id maybe LEN0068 or LEN0268.
On Windows, the Lenovo Vantage app can't get battery details when using
IBM0068. This patch config this id by motherboard. The hardware IDs for
the following models can be found by searching for disassembled
dsdt.asl on vendor BIOS:
(But this info is not easy to find online. So I only changed some of
the thinkpads.)

Mainboard specific dock-init mechanism introduced
https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/36093 works on most boards,
but https://ticket.coreboot.org/issues/256 shows that some boards
(e.g. x201 and t410) need communication with h8 EC to enable or
disable dock, (in dock_connect() and dock_disconnect() respectively)
so they must be done after the h8 EC is brought up, which is not
garanteed in the above mainboard specific dock-init mechanism.
This time, a hook function h8_mb_init() will be called at the end of
h8_enable(). (in place of the ancient h8_mainboard_init_dock() removed
in CB:36093) Its default implementation is a weak empty function, but
could be overrided with a strong one for boards needing to perform
actions which should be done after h8 EC is brought up.
This should fix the regression detected in
https://ticket.coreboot.org/issues/256

This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living
under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture
independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any
architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own
directory.
In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into
multiple CLs. This is change 3/5 which basically is generated by
running the following command:

h8_has_bdc() and h8_has_wwan() do not need to modify the device
structure. Hence, this change makes the struct device * parameter to
these functions as const.
This is being done in preparation to make struct device * parameter to
fill_ssdt as const.

folder for h8. This reduces code duplication and allows other ThinkPads

These two identifiers were always very confusing. We're not filling and
injecting generators. We are filling SSDTs and injecting into the DSDT.
So drop the `_generator` suffix. Hopefully, this also makes ACPI look a
little less scary.

They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example:
- What's a "Copyright $year-present"?
- Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current
copyright holder?
- People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even
though they only deleted stuff
- Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year,
because why not?
- Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"?
- Or "Generated Code"?
Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in
individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead
and use the git history to deal with the rest.

thinkpad_acpi maps the battery hotkey (KEY_BATTERY) on scancode 0x01 and
the lock hotkey (KEY_COFFEE) on scancode 0x02.
On the Thinkpad X1 Carbon (and possibly others), the hotkeys for Fn-F2
and Fn-F3 are different from the default one so a new layout has to be
defined.

Discussed in CB:36093, in the past many lenovo boards need to declare
an empty h8_mainboard_init_dock() to satisfy h8.c.
Now the confusing H8_DOCK_EARLY_INIT might be retired, and if a
mainboard needs dock init (done with h8_mainboard_init_dock() in the
past) in ramstage, (discussed in CB:4294 where H8_DOCK_EARLY_INIT is
introduced) it can just do it in its own chip_ops.enable_dev function.
Tested on X200. Testing on other affected targets may be necessary.

There are two known reverse-engineered ways to manage battery
thresholds.
This patch implements them and adds a way to enable them for
different mainboards.
Tested on W530 with 4.18.3-gentoo kernel and X220 with 4.20.11.
Works fine with new Linux userspace API for controlling battery
thresholds, available since 4.17.
(/sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/charge_(start|stop)_threshold).
The new API is supported by TLP (you might need to set NATACPI_ENABLE=1
in /etc/tlp.conf).
tpacpi-bat works fine too.

On my Thinkpad T420 the default 3000ms SeaBIOS timeout is too short,
it takes nearly 5000ms for my keyboard to become ready.
Timing out before it's ready leads to pretty bad behavior: I cannot use
my keyboard at all to control SeaBIOS, nor the subsequent GRUB instance.
Linux is fine though, possibly because it does its own keyboard init.

Re-write the UAO handling code as it had stopped working (#171)
(the flag was not getting read from the RTC properly in SMM)
Remove the SMM code as it's not needed (but EC flag won't be set
upon entering S3 now)
Set the EC flags on boot the same way other flags are set
Document bitwise operators for clarity
Propagate changes to other Thinkpads
(updated X201 to have 2 bits for the flag as it only had 1)
Per Nicola Corna's previous commits, 0x0d is set for "AC only"
"AC only" does exhibit different behaviour - the USB port is
turned on a few seconds after entering S3, rather than < 1 sec,
regardless of AC status

The pmh7 has at least a 9bit address space.
The h8s allows to access the 9th address space by using io port
0x15ed as second address register.
The pmh7 is connected via SPI to the h8s. The h8s is acting as
proxy to access the address space.

The EC does enable bluetooth on wifi cards and BDC at the same time.
Check the new Kconfig to support bluetooth on wifi in case no BDC
is installed and the BDC detection fails.

Fix a regression introduced by #21227 0709dc04
(ec/lenovo/h8/acpi/thermal: Add ACPI fan control).
The commit caused Windows to crash as EC reads aren't allowed in the fan
device or it's powerresource's methods. Implement the same approach as all
other platforms using a GNVS variable named FLVL instead of reading from EC.
In addition to EC reads writing to FIELD elements, in another ACPI scope,
seems to be broken. Introduce a new method to set the fan disengage mode.
Tested on Windows 7 and Lenovo T500.

Sometimes (observed on Thinkpad T400s during cold boot) a few (only one
observed) garbage bytes may detained in the output queue of EC after power
up, and they should be cleared otherwise later communications will be
disrupted.

Disengage the fan 10 degree below passive threshold as the automatic EC fan
control does not disengage the FAN even when CPU starts melting ...
* Add EC registers FAND and FANA.
* Add ACPI methods _AC0 and _AL0.
* Add fan device and PowerResource for fan control.
Tested on Lenovo T430:
* The fan disengages at 80°C and keeps running at full speed until temperature
drops below 80°C.
* Fan can be disengaged using sysfs:
/sys/devics/virtual/thermal/cooling_device0/cur_state

* The fan disengages at 80°C and keeps running at full speed until temperature

The ACPI spec requires _TSP, _TC1, _TC2 and _PSL for passive cooling.
_TSP already has been added in a previous commit.
Copy the coefficients used on google devices to activate the feature.

Add two additional LED IDs.
Add Kconfig menu entries to allow selecting the action

Always enable tp-smapi and thermal managment.
The devicetree already configures the correct values. This patch makes
sure that invalid user-settings are ignored.
The tp-smapi bit is required for the SMM handler.
The thermal bit should be set to allow the EC to monitor thermal state
of the platform.

The thinkpad-acpi driver uses the UCMS (CMOS) ACPI method to control the
ThinkLight from the Operating System. This patch adds partial support for
that method, enough to enable or disable the ThinkLight:
echo on >/proc/acpi/ibm/light
echo off >/proc/acpi/ibm/light
With the original BIOS the UCMS method exposes a wide range of values
through a generic /proc/acpi/ibm/cmos interface. With the changes suggested
in this patch that interface is also exposed but only accepts the commands
to enable or disable the ThinkLight; all other commands are ignored.
This change would potentially benefit all currently supported Thinkpad
models, I only have an X201 available for tests though.

The Lenovo H8 battery interface uses a paged EC memory area.
Some Thinkpads (in particular the S230U) use a different EC controller
(ENE KB9012) with mostly compatible firmware, which requires an explicit
delay between writing the page register and reading the page data.

Old dock.c copied from x201 was incorrect. Do a rewrite of t60 dock
code as pnp devices.
Fixes USB and serial on the dock, if it is already connected when
computer is powered on. DVI and ethernet worked without this patch.
Hot-plug is yet to be fixed.

Currently, when using `iasl` 20140926-32 [Oct 1 2014] from Debian 8
(Jessie/stable), the build of the Lenovo X60 fails due to syntax errors.
ASL 2.0 supports `<<`. For consistency, right now, coreboot still uses
the old syntax. So use `ShiftLeft` instead, which also fixes the build
issue with older ASL compilers.

thinkpad_acpi expects a SSMS method to turn on/off the mute LED
and a MMTS method to turn on/off the microphone mute LED. With
these methods implemented the driver can correctly sync the LEDs
with the corresponding statuses.
There seems to be two different bits to mute the audio in the
Lenovo H8 EC:
* AMUT, used internally (for example to disable the audio before
entering S3).
* ALMT, controllable by the OS, which also toggles the mute LED
(if present).
Tested on a X220T and on a X201.

thinkpad_acpi expects a MHKG method which returns the current
state of the tablet mode switch shifted left by 3. If such
method is not found, subsequent laptop/tablet mode events are
ignored.

On my Thinkpad with an H8-compatible ENE KB9012 EC (GDHT92WW 1.52), when
the battery is nearly full and we switch from battery to AC by plugging
in the cable, the current rate will not drop to 0 immediately, but the
discharging state is cleared immediately.
This leads to the code trying to process an invalid rate value >0x8000,
leading to a displayed rate of >1000W.
This patch changes the logic to deal with these corner cases.

USB AO is the internal name for the dedicated charging port on
ThinkPads when in S3 or lower.
AOEN (bit 0) is internal name for enabling this feature while AOCF
(bits 2 and 3) is the configuration field. According to Peter Stuge,
AOCF can be configured in this way:
00 => AC S3 S4 S4 USB on, battery S3 USB on, battery S4 S5 off
11 => AC S3 S4 S4 USB on, battery S3 S4 S5 USB off
10, 01 => equivalent to 00
This commit also adds a new configuration field in the CMOS of the
X220 and the X201 to activate this feature. It probably can be also
added to all the ThinkPads that support this functionality.
With this functionality USB devices are able to negotiate full power
from the dedicated port (usually the yellow one) even in S3.
Tested on a X201 and X220 with an Android smartphone: with this
feature enabled it shows "Charging" when connected during S3, without
it it shows "Charging slowly" (or it doesn't charge at all on the
X201).
For some reasons the "AC only" mode doesn't work, so it has been
disabled.

This reverts commit 83df672d2ce481686c5c4e04625bc1b97d7a4a8b.
It's based on the assumption that the H8 keeps its configuration
during a suspend/resume cycle. User reports indicate that this might
not be true.
Caching the settings in a cbtable entry might be a better approach.

Some user might change some devices. After a suspend this reset
to the (nvram) defaults which breaks the user expectation.

On s3 wakeup h8_enable is called which resets the (audio) volume. But the
volume should be the same as before the s3 state. In particular, userland
programs (e.g. pulseaudio) may be out of sync, if the volume can be changed
by hardware buttons also emitting acpi events. Hence, do not reset the
volume on s3 wakeup.
Tested on a Lenovo ThinkPad X220.

On certain Winbond SuperIO devices, when a PS/2 mouse is not
present on the auxiliary channel both channels will cease to
function if the auxiliary channel is probed while the primary
channel is active. Therefore, knowledge of mouse presence
must be gathered by coreboot during early boot, and used to
enable or disable the auxiliary PS/2 port before control is
passed to the operating system.
Add auxiliary channel PS/2 device presence detect, and update
the Winbond W83667HG-A driver to flag the auxiliary channel as
disabled if no device was detected.

thermal.asl was written as part of the coreboot project, so gets
the standard coreboot license header.
ec_commands.h came from the chrome ec tree, so gets the BSD license
from that tree as mentioned in the header that has been replaced.

If any path in a method returns a value, IASL expects that all paths
within that method will return a value.
Presumably the MKHP method wouldn't get called unless there were a
pending event, but if no event is found, return a zero.
Fixes IASL warning:
dsdt.aml 1785: Method (MHKP, 0, NotSerialized)
Warning 3115 - ^ Not all control paths return a value (MHKP)
This was the only IASL warning in most lenovo mainboards.

It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address.
Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we
imported) looks out for that.
This is the result of util/scripts/no-fsf-addresses.sh with no further
editing.

Fix a bug when a sound was generated while going into suspend.
E.g. When a low battery sound is played while going into suspend
a sample is stuck in this register. The user will hear a sample forever.

As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.
However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.
util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

Without this some radios may remain operational. They may consume power but
the immediate demonstrable effect is wireless LED still being on.
Coreboot will reenable radios on resume or poweron.

This change switches all ECs and the generic EC ACPI code
to be autoincluded by Makefile.inc, rather than having to be
mentioned explicitly in ec/Makefile.inc or in
ec/<vendor>/Makefile.inc.
This means, vendor and ec directories are now "drop
in", e.g. be placed in the coreboot directory hierarchy
without having to modify any higher level coreboot files.
The long term plan is to enable out of tree components to be
built with a given coreboot version (given that the API did not
change).
