2019-05-08ec/lenovo/h8: Add function to query sense statePatrick Rudolph
* Add function to wait for sense registers to become valid. * Add function to retrieve Fn-Key state. Tested on Lenovo T500: * It takes about 700msec for the registers to become valid. Tested on Lenovo T520: * It takes less than 150msec for the registers to become valid. 2018-12-06lenovo/h8,thinkpads: Re-do USB Always OnNathaniel Roach
Re-write the UAO handling code as it had stopped working (#171) (the flag was not getting read from the RTC properly in SMM) Remove the SMM code as it's not needed (but EC flag won't be set upon entering S3 now) Set the EC flags on boot the same way other flags are set Document bitwise operators for clarity Propagate changes to other Thinkpads (updated X201 to have 2 bits for the flag as it only had 1) Per Nicola Corna's previous commits, 0x0d is set for "AC only" "AC only" does exhibit different behaviour - the USB port is turned on a few seconds after entering S3, rather than < 1 sec, regardless of AC status Tested on X220 Change-Id: If812cd1ef8fb1a24d7fadbe834f574b40cbcd56a Signed-off-by: Nathaniel Roach <nroach44@gmail.com> Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/c/29565 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) <no-reply@coreboot.org> Reviewed-by: Philipp Deppenwiese <zaolin.daisuki@gmail.com>
2018-07-09ec/lenovo/h8/acpi: Add BDC interfacePatrick Rudolph
* Add SSDT generator to add dynamic ACPI code. * Implement GBDC and SBDC for thinkpad_acpi kernel module. Required for BDC power control from userspace. Tested on Lenovo T430: The bluetooth module is detected and can be powercycled using network manager. 2017-09-11ec/lenovo/h8: Add WWAN detection supportPatrick Rudolph
* Add support for detecting WWAN. * Allows to turn off power to WWAN if no card is installed. Add the following devicetree values: * has_wwan_detection Set to one to indicate that the following register are sane. * wwan_gpio_num SB GPIO num to read. * wwan_gpio_lvl SB GPIO level for card to be present (usually zero). Don't enable WWAN power if no card is detected. As there are no devicetree values yet, the new code doesn't have any effect. 2016-11-18ec/lenovo/h8: Add USB Always OnNicola Corna
USB AO is the internal name for the dedicated charging port on ThinkPads when in S3 or lower. AOEN (bit 0) is internal name for enabling this feature while AOCF (bits 2 and 3) is the configuration field. According to Peter Stuge, AOCF can be configured in this way: 00 => AC S3 S4 S4 USB on, battery S3 USB on, battery S4 S5 off 11 => AC S3 S4 S4 USB on, battery S3 S4 S5 USB off 10, 01 => equivalent to 00 This commit also adds a new configuration field in the CMOS of the X220 and the X201 to activate this feature. It probably can be also added to all the ThinkPads that support this functionality. With this functionality USB devices are able to negotiate full power from the dedicated port (usually the yellow one) even in S3. Tested on a X201 and X220 with an Android smartphone: with this feature enabled it shows "Charging" when connected during S3, without it it shows "Charging slowly" (or it doesn't charge at all on the X201). For some reasons the "AC only" mode doesn't work, so it has been disabled. 2015-04-29kbuild: automatically include ECsStefan Reinauer
This change switches all ECs and the generic EC ACPI code to be autoincluded by Makefile.inc, rather than having to be mentioned explicitly in ec/Makefile.inc or in ec/<vendor>/Makefile.inc. This means, vendor and ec directories are now "drop in", e.g. be placed in the coreboot directory hierarchy without having to modify any higher level coreboot files. The long term plan is to enable out of tree components to be built with a given coreboot version (given that the API did not change). 2012-11-27Get rid of drivers classPatrick Georgi
The use of ramstage.a required the build system to handle some object files in a special way, which were put in the drivers class. These object files didn't provide any symbols that were used directly (but only via linker magic), and so the linker never considered them for inclusion. With ramstage.a gone, we can drop this special class, too. 2011-04-11EC: Add Lenovo H8Sven Schnelle
Move the EC support code from the X60 mainboard to a generic driver, as this EC is used in many thinkpads. Also move the ACPI code to this directory for this reason. This patch also adds a chip config, so that the initial setting for basic register can be specified in devicetree.cb Signed-off-by: Sven Schnelle <svens@stackframe.org> Acked-by: Peter Stuge <peter@stuge.se> git-svn-id: svn://svn.coreboot.org/coreboot/trunk@6485 2b7e53f0-3cfb-0310-b3e9-8179ed1497e1
