This patch supports projects to use _DSM to control USB3 U1/U2
transition per port.
More details can be found in
https://web.archive.org/web/20230116084819/https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/bringup/usb-device-specific-method---dsm-
The ACPI and USB driver of linux kernel need corresponding functions
to support this feature. Please see

Add the member `use_gpio_for_status` to the structure
`drivers_usb_acpi_config`, so the `devicetree.cb` can specify it.
This field is then used to initialize the corresponding field in the
structure `acpi_power_res_params` in `usb_acpi_fill_ssdt_generator()`.
The member `acpi_power_res_params::use_gpio_for_status()` is already
being used by `acpi_device_add_power_res()` to determine which version
of the `_STA()` method to output.

This is helpful in retimer driver where we can attach same USB

Some devices, such as cameras, can implement a physical switch to
disable the input on demand. Think of it like the typical privacy
sticker on the notebooks, but more elegant.
In order to notify the system about the status this feature, a GPIO is
typically used.
The map between a GPIO and the feature is done via ACPI, the same way as
the reset_gpio works.
This patch implements an extra field for the described privacy gpio.
This gpio does not require any extra handling from the power management.

Allow a USB device to define PowerResource in its SSDT AML code.
PowerResouce ACPI generation expects SoC to define the callbacks for
generating AML code for GPIO manipulation.
Device requiring PowerResource needs to define following parameters:
* Reset GPIO - Optional, GPIO to put device into reset or take it out
of reset.
* Reset delay - Delay after reset GPIO is asserted (default 0).
* Reset off delay - Delay after reset GPIO is de-asserted (default 0).
* Enable GPIO - Optional, GPIO to enable device.
* Enable delay - Delay after enable GPIO is asserted (default 0).
* Enable off delay - Delay after enable GPIO is de-asserted (default 0).
BUG=b:163100335
TEST=Ensure that the Power Resource ACPI object is added under the
concerned USB device.

This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living
under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture
independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any
architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own
directory.
In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into
multiple CLs. This is change 3/5 which basically is generated by
running the following command:
$ git grep -iIl "arch/acpi" | xargs sed -i 's/arch\/acpi/acpi\/acpi/g'

The chip.h for this driver was updated to add a reset GPIO, but did
not add the required #include of <arch/acpi_device.h>. This likely
still compiled because other chip.h files included before it may have
included it themselves.

As discussed on the mailing list and voted upon, the coreboot project
is going to move the majority of copyrights out of the headers and into
an AUTHORS file. This will happen a bit at a time, as we'll be unifying
license headers at the same time.
Updated Authors file is in a separate commit.

The Linux kernel can use the ACPI _PLD group information to
determine peer ports. Currently to define the group information
the devicetree must provide a complete _PLD structure. This
change pulls the group information into a separate structure that
can be defined in devicetree. This makes it easier to set for
USB devices in devicetree that do not need a full custom PLD.
This was tested on a sarien board with the USB devices defined
by verifying that the USB 2/3 ports are correctly identified
with their peer in sysfs.

Add a support for generating USB port descriptors for ACPI based
on their definition by the board in devicetree.cb. This will
generate a _UPC and _PLD for each port, using a generic _PLD by
default. The _PLD can also be customized for more accurate
descriptions if necessary.
This sample devictree.cb shows a USB 2.0 type-A port behind a root
hub connected to an xHCI controller:
device pci 14.0 on
chip drivers/usb/acpi
register "desc" = ""Root Hub""
register "type" = "UPC_TYPE_HUB"
device usb 0.0 on
chip drivers/usb/acpi
register "desc" = ""USB 2.0 Type-A""
register "type" = "UPC_TYPE_A"
device usb 2.0 on end
end
end
end
end
It will generate the following ACPI code in the SSDT:
Scope (\_SB.PCI0.XHCI.RHUB.HS01)
{
Name (_DDN, "USB 2.0 Type-A")
Name (_UPC, Package (0x04)
