2018-03-14drivers/intel/gma: fix opregion SCI register for Atom platformsMatt DeVillier
Most Intel platforms use separate registers for software-based SMI (0xe0) and SCI (0xe8), but Atom-based platforms use a single combined register (0xe0) for both. Adjust opregion implementation to use the correct register for Atom-based platforms. Test: Boot Windows on Atom-based ChromeOS device with Tianocore payload and non-VBIOS graphics init; observe Intel display driver loaded correctly and internal display not blank. 2017-08-11driver/intel/gma: Allow use of GFX_GMA_ANALOG_I2C_HDMI_x in C NGIArthur Heymans
These Kconfig options can be reused for the same purpose of selecting the correct i2c pins for probing the analog output EDID in C native graphic init. For this purpose this patch makes those options independent of GFX_GMA and MAINBOARD_HAS_LIBGFXINIT. 2017-02-04drivers/intel/gma/vbt: Add Kconfig symbol for SSC refNico Huber
The selection of the SSC reference frequency for LVDS was based on a completely unrelated clock. The `ssc_freq` flag should be set when the SSC reference runs at a different frequency than the general display reference clock (DREF). For most platforms, there is no choice, i.e. for i945 and gm45 the SSC reference always differs from the display reference clock (i945: 66Mhz SSC vs. 48MHz DREF; gm45: 100MHz SSC vs. 96Mhz DREF), for Nehalem and newer, it's the same frequency for SSC/non-SSC (120MHz). The only, currently supported platform with a choice seems to be Pineview, where the alternative is 100MHz vs. the default 96MHz. 2016-11-29drivers/intel/gma: Hook up libgfxinitNico Huber
Add `libgfxinit` as another option for native graphics initialization. For that, the function gma_gfxinit() (see drivers/intel/gma/i915.h) has to be called by the respective northbridge/soc code. A mainboard port needs to select `CONFIG_MAINBOARD_HAS_LIBGFXINIT` and implement the Ada package `GMA.Mainboard` with a single function `ports` that returns a list of ports to be probed for displays. v2: Update 3rdparty/libgfxinit to its latest master commit to make things buildable within coreboot. v3: Another update to 3rdparty/libgfxinit. Including support to select the I2C port for VGA. It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address. Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we imported) looks out for that. This is the result of util/scripts/no-fsf-addresses.sh with no further editing. Old igd.asl had inconsistent addresses (between _DOD and actual device) and ghost devices. Any of those is enough to make brightness on windows fail and make igd.asl out-of-ACPI-spec. Also old code favoured ridiculous copying of the same thing 6 times per chipset. Leave only hooking up and chipset-specific part in chipset directory. Move NVS handling and ACPI-spec parts to a common file. As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. Newer mainboards that use haswell -- and, presumably, chipsets to come -- need some support functions. Add them in the drivers/intel/gma directory. Currently, this is one file: intel_ddi.c, but more may come. 2013-12-05FUI: add intel_dp driver derived from kernel functionsRonald G. Minnich
These functions are not all used yet, but do compile and are partially used in the FUI testing. They were extracted from the 3.4 kernel using coccinnelle filters.
