2016-12-07PCI ops: MMCONF_SUPPORT_DEFAULT is requiredKyösti Mälkki
Doing PCI config operations via MMIO window by default is a requirement, if supported by the platform. This means chipset or CPU code must enable MMCONF operations early in bootblock already, or before platform-specific romstage entry. Platforms are allowed to have NO_MMCONF_SUPPORT only in the case it is actually not implemented in the silicon. 2016-12-01PCIEXP_PLUGIN_SUPPORT: Change dependency on PCI accessKyösti Mälkki
Some PCI-e capability registers are located starting from 0x100, these are not accessible using the conventional PCI IO config operations at 0xcf8/0xcfc, unless PCI_CFG_EXT_IO was selected. Thus any feature that calls pciexp_find_extended_cap() depends on either MMCONF_SUPPORT_DEFAULT or PCI_CFG_EXT_IO being enabled on the platform. In theory there can be system without MMCONF_SUPPORT, but with complete PCI Express configuration space available using PCI_CFG_EXT_IO. Do not use explicit PCI MMCONF operations here, but rely on the default PCI access method to be able to access all of the configuration space. While at it, convert to IS_ENABLED() everywhere in the source and organize Kconfig file better. 2016-11-29drivers/intel/gma: Hook up libgfxinitNico Huber
Add `libgfxinit` as another option for native graphics initialization. For that, the function gma_gfxinit() (see drivers/intel/gma/i915.h) has to be called by the respective northbridge/soc code. A mainboard port needs to select `CONFIG_MAINBOARD_HAS_LIBGFXINIT` and implement the Ada package `GMA.Mainboard` with a single function `ports` that returns a list of ports to be probed for displays. v2: Update 3rdparty/libgfxinit to its latest master commit to make things buildable within coreboot. v3: Another update to 3rdparty/libgfxinit. 2016-10-02Kconfig: Update default hex values to start with 0xMartin Roth
Kconfig hex values don't need to be in quotes, and should start with '0x'. If the default value isn't set this way, Kconfig will add the 0x to the start, and the entry can be added unnecessarily to the defconfig since it's "different" than what was set by the default. A check for this has been added to the Kconfig lint tool. 2016-04-13payloads: add iPXE 'payload' buildMartin Roth
We already have the ability to add a pxe rom to cbfs, but it needs to be configured and built separately. This moves the existing Kconfig options for PXE from device/Kconfig and the top level Makefile.inc to payloads, and adds the option to download and build iPXE as part of the coreboot build process. This configures the serial output of iPXE to match coreboot's serial port configuration by editing the .h files. iPXE doesn't give any real build-time method of setting these configuration options. 2016-02-16device/pci_rom: Rename missleading ON_DEVICE_ROM_RUNPatrick Rudolph
The Kconfig option "ON_DEVICE_ROM_RUN" suggests that PCI Option ROMs are run, but in fact it only controls the loading of PCI based Option ROMs. At the moment coreboot only executes Option ROMs if they are VGA Options ROMs and the VGA Option ROM execution flag is enabled. Setting ON_DEVICE_ROM_RUN with VGA Option ROM execution disabled has no effect. Clarify that this flag controls the loading behaviour and not the execution behaviour. 2015-05-21Remove address from GPLv2 headersPatrick Georgi
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a new lease, but can drop the address instead. util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that we may want to synchronize every now and then. $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin St, Fifth Floor, Boston, *MA[, ]*02110-1301[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin Street, Suite 500, Boston, MA 02110-1335, USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 59 Temple Place[-, ]*Suite 330, Boston, MA *02111-1307[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 675 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139, USA.:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -a \! -name \*.patch \ -a \! -name \*_shipped \ -a \! -name LICENSE_GPL \ -a \! -name LGPL.txt \ -a \! -name COPYING \ -a \! -name DISCLAIMER \ -exec sed -i "/Foundation, Inc./ N;s:Foundation, Inc.* USA\.* *:Foundation, Inc. :;s:Foundation, Inc. $:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + Change-Id: Icc968a5a5f3a5df8d32b940f9cdb35350654bef9 Signed-off-by: Patrick Georgi <pgeorgi@chromium.org> Reviewed-on: http://review.coreboot.org/9233 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Vladimir Serbinenko <phcoder@gmail.com>

2014-12-30i2c: Add software_i2c driver for I2C debugging and emulationJulius Werner
This patch adds I2C emulation in software through raw toggling of the SDA/SCL lines. Platforms need to provide bindings to toggle their respective I2C busses for this to work (e.g. by pinmuxing them as GPIOs, currently only enabled for Tegra). This is mostly useful as a debugging feature, to drive unusual states on a bus and closely monitor the device output without the need of a bus analyzer. It provides a few functions to "wedge" an I2C bus by aborting a transaction at certain points, which can be used to test if a system can correctly recover from an ill-timed reboot. However, it can also dynamically replace the existing I2C transfer functions and drive some/all I2C transfers on the system, which might be useful if a driver for the actual I2C controller hardware is not (yet) available. Based on original code by Doug Anderson <dianders@chromium.org> and Hung-ying Tyan <tyanh@chromium.org> for the ChromeOS embedded controller project. 2013-12-24Remove PCI_ROM_RUN optionVladimir Serbinenko
The main purpose of option rom is to supply int* handlers. But supplying those is outside of coreboot scope and if someone needs those they should run SeaBIOS anyway which runs the option roms wonderfully. Running VGA oprom is kept because they're needed to init graphics. This patch still keeps the options to include the option roms to make them available to SeaBIOS. 2013-12-21Add Kconfig options to override Subsystem Vendor and Device IDDuncan Laurie
These can typically be set in the devicetree but we need a way to override those values with a Kconfig setting so as not to expose the Vendor ID before the product has launched. 2013-04-03Add PXE ROM selection to Kconfig menuSiyuan Wang
Adding a pxe rom manually is inconvenient. With this patch, PXE ROM can be added automatically by selecting PXE_ROM in Kconfig. I have tested this patch on AMD Parmer and Thatcher with iPXE. iPXE would be a boot device in Seabios when pressing F12. iPXE works well with coreboot and Seabios. 2013-03-15Google Link: Add remaining code to support native graphicsRonald G. Minnich
The Link native graphics commit 49428d84 [1] Add support for Google's Chromebook Pixel was missing some of the higher level bits, and hence could not be used. This is not new code -- it has been working since last August -- so the effort now is to get it into the tree and structure it in a way compatible with upstream coreboot. 1. Add options to src/device/Kconfig to enable native graphics. 2. Export the MTRR function for setting variable MTRRs. 3. Clean up some of the comments and white space. While I realize that the product name is Pixel, the mainboard in the coreboot tree is called Link, and that name is what we will use in our commits.
