The assumption up to this point was that if the system had an x86
processor, verstage would be running on the x86 processor. With running
verstage on the PSP, that assumption no longer holds true, so exclude
pieces of code that cause problems for verstage on the PSP.
This change will add these files to verstage only if the verstage
architecture is X86 - either 32 or 64 bit.

Most LAPIC registers are 32bit, and thus the use of long is valid on
x86_32, however it doesn't work on x86_64.
* Don't use long as it is 64bit on x86_64, which breaks interrupts
in QEMU and thus SeaBIOS wouldn't time out the boot menu
* Get rid of unused defines
* Get rid of unused atomic xchg code
Tested on QEMU Q35 with x86_64 enabled: Interrupts work again.
Tested on QEMU Q35 with x86_32 enabled: Interrupts are still working.
Tested on Lenovo T410 with x86_64 enabled.

This reverts commit aac79e0b8f4777f8a912ccdfc483755b7a4da52c.
Reason for revert: This massively slows down the boot process because
the LAPIC delivery mode for the APs is not set anymore. Plus, not all
review comments were fully addressed, yet this got merged in anyway.

When Linux is booted, the kernel reports
"do_IRQ: 1.55 No irq handler for vector"
So far it comes with payloads SeaBIOS and depthcharge, not with
Grub. We assume Grub does something to avoid this problem.
AMD bug tracker system (JIRA PLAT-21393) says the APs can not be set
EXTINT delivery mode.
In Intel 64 and IA-32 Architectures Software Developer’s Manual volume
3A, see chapter 10.5.1 Local Vector Table, it says:
"The APIC architecture supports only one ExtINT source in a system,
usually contained in the compatibility bridge. Only one processor in the
system should have an LVT entry configured to use the ExtINT delivery
mode."
Tested on mandolin (Picasso) board, the error in dmesg is gone.
The bug 153677727 has two parts.
1. Soft lockup
2. do_IRQ 1.55.
The soft lockup issued has been fixed by

This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living
under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture
independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any
architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own
directory.
In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into
multiple CLs. This is change 3/5 which basically is generated by
running the following command:
$ git grep -iIl "arch/acpi" | xargs sed -i 's/arch\/acpi/acpi\/acpi/g'

There were some manual fixups: Some code still uses the global/local
variable naming scheme, so keep g_* there, and some variable names
weren't completely rewritten.

At a process _start, the stack is expected to be aligned to a
16-byte boundary. Upon entry to any function the stack frame
must have the end of any arguments also aligned. In other words
the value of %esp+4 or %rsp+8 is always a multiple of 16 (1).
Align the stack down inside _secondary_start and preserve proper
alignment for the call to secondary_cpu_init.
Although 4-byte alignment is the minimum requirement for i386,
some AMD platforms use SSE instructions which expect 16-byte.

Certain chipsets don't have a memory-mapped boot media
so their code execution for stages prior to DRAM initialization
is backed by SRAM or cache-as-ram. The postcar stage/phase
handles the cache-as-ram situation where in order to tear down
cache-as-ram one needs to be executing out of a backing
store that isn't transient. By current definition, cache-as-ram
is volatile and tearing it down leads to its contents disappearing.
Therefore provide a shim layer, postcar, that's loaded into
memory and executed which does 2 things:
1. Tears down cache-as-ram with a chipset helper function.
2. Loads and runs ramstage.
Because those 2 things are executed out of ram there's no issue
of the code's backing store while executing the code that
tears down cache-as-ram. The current implementation makes no
assumption regarding cacheability of the DRAM itself. If the
chipset code wishes to cache DRAM for loading of the postcar
stage/phase then it's also up to the chipset to handle any
coherency issues pertaining to cache-as-ram destruction.

We currently race in SMM init on Atom 230 (and potentially
other CPUs). At least on the 230, this leads to a hang on
RSM, likely because both hyperthreads mess around with
SMBASE and other SMM state variables in parallel without
coordination. The same behaviour occurs with Atom D5xx.
Change it so first APs are spun up and sent to sleep, then
BSP initializes SMM, then every CPU, one after another.
Only do this when SERIALIZE_SMM_INITIALIZATION is set.
Set the flag for Atom CPUs.

To support x86 verstage one needs a working buffer for
vboot. That buffer resides in the cache-as-ram region
which persists across verstage and romstage. The current
assumption is that verstage brings cache-as-ram up
and romstage tears cache-as-ram down. The timestamp,
cbmem console, and the vboot work buffer are persistent
through in both romstage and verstage. The vboot
work buffer as well as the cbmem console are permanently
destroyed once cache-as-ram is torn down. The timestamp
region is migrated. When verstage is enabled the assumption
is that _start is the romstage entry point. It's currently
expected that the chipset provides the entry point to
romstage when verstage is employed. Also, the car_var_*()
APIs use direct access when in verstage since its expected
verstage does not tear down cache-as-ram. Lastly, supporting
files were added to verstage-y such that an x86 verstage
will build and link.

This reverts commit a3aa8da2acec28670b724b7897ae054592746674.
Chrome OS builds require the monotonic timer API in SMM for ELOG_GSMI,
but sandy/ivy doesn't provide it. The commit tried to work around that
by using generic LAPIC code instead, but this leads to multiple
definition errors in other configurations (and it may be unreliable once
the OS reconfigured the APIC timers anyhow).
This fixes the situation for the non-ELOG_GSMI case (which is more or
less everybody but Chrome OS). ELOG_GSMI requires a separate fix.

As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.
However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.
util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

This patch creates a new mechanism to define the static memory layout
(primarily in SRAM) for a given board, superseding the brittle mass of
Kconfigs that we were using before. The core part is a memlayout.ld file
in the mainboard directory (although boards are expected to just include
the SoC default in most cases), which is the primary linker script for
all stages (though not rmodules for now). It uses preprocessor macros
from <memlayout.h> to form a different valid linker script for all
stages while looking like a declarative, boilerplate-free map of memory
addresses to the programmer. Linker asserts will automatically guarantee
that the defined regions cannot overlap. Stages are defined with a
maximum size that will be enforced by the linker. The file serves to
both define and document the memory layout, so that the documentation
cannot go missing or out of date.
The mechanism is implemented for all boards in the ARM, ARM64 and MIPS
architectures, and should be extended onto all systems using SRAM in the
future. The CAR/XIP environment on x86 has very different requirements
and the layout is generally not as static, so it will stay like it is
and be unaffected by this patch (save for aligning some symbol names for
consistency and sharing the new common ramstage linker script include).

The current ramstage code contains uses of symbols that cause issues
when the ramstage is relocatable. There are 2 scenarios resolved by this
patch:
1. Absolute symbols that are actually sizes/limits. The symbols are
problematic when relocating a program because there is no way to
distinguish a symbol that shouldn't be relocated and one that can.
The only way to handle these symbols is to write a program to post
process the relocations and keep a whitelist of ones that shouldn't
be relocated. I don't believe that is a route that should be taken
so fix the users of these sizes/limits encoded as absolute symbols
to calculate the size at runtime or dereference a variable in memory
containing the size/limit.
2. Absoulte symbols that were relocated to a fixed address. These
absolute symbols are generated by assembly files to be placed at a
fixed location. Again, these symbols are problematic because one
can't distinguish a symbol that can't be relocated. The symbols
are again resolved at runtime to allow for proper relocation.
For the symbols defining a size either use 2 symbols and calculate the
difference or provide a variable in memory containing the size.

- compile LAPIC code for romstage, too
- Remove #include ".../apic_timer.c" in AMD based mainboards
- Remove custom udelay implementation from intel northbridges' romstages
Future work:
- remove the compile time special case
(requires some cpuid based switching)
- drop northbridge udelay implementations (i945, i5000) if
not required anymore (eg. can SMM use the LAPIC timer?)

This addition is in support of future multicore support in
coreboot. It also will allow us to remove some asssembly code.
The CPU "index" -- i.e., its order in the sequence in which
cores are brought up, NOT its APIC id -- is passed into the
secondary start. We modify the function to specify regparm(0).
We also take this opportunity to do some cleanup:
indexes become unsigned ints, not unsigned longs, for example.
Build and boot on a multicore system, with pcserial enabled.
Capture the output. Observe that the messages
Initializing CPU #0
Initializing CPU #1
Initializing CPU #2
Initializing CPU #3
appear exactly as they do prior to this change.

This change allows us to figure out how much of the AP stacks we are
using, as well as to catch any case of an AP overrunning its stack.
Also, the stack is poisoned, which is a good way to catch programming
errors -- code should never count on auto variables being zerod.
The stack bases are recorded in a new array, stacks. At the end,
when all APs are initialized, the stacks are walked and the
lowest level of the stack that is reached is printed.
Build and boot and look for output like this:
CPU1: stack allocated from 00148000 to 00148ff4:\
lowest stack address was 00148c4c
CPU2: stack allocated from 00147000 to 00147ff4:\
lowest stack address was 00147c4c
CPU3: stack allocated from 00146000 to 00146ff4:\
lowest stack address was 00146c4c
Note that we used only about 1K of stack, even though in this
case we allocated 4K (and in the main branch, we allocate 32K!)
