Under normal circumstances no printk() goes through until
console_hw_init() has completed. This is wanted behaviour,
except when you need to debug the setup of one of consoles.

Initially, I wanted to move only the Kconfig DISPLAY_MTRRS into the
"Debug" menu. It turned out, though, that the code looks rather generic.
No need to hide it in soc/intel/.
To not bloat src/Kconfig up any further, start a new `Kconfig.debug`
hierarchy just for debug options.
If somebody wants to review the code if it's 100% generic, we could
even get rid of HAVE_DISPLAY_MTRRS.

Add code for generating the region pointed to in an ACPI Boot Error
Record Table.
The BERT region must be reported as Reserved to the OSPM, so this
code calls out to a system-specific region locator. cbmem is
reported as type 16 and is not usable for the BERT region.
Events reported via BERT are Generic Error Data, and are constructed
as follows (see ACPI and UEFI specs for reference):
* Each event begins with a Generic Error Status Block, which may
contain zero or more Generic Data Entries
* Each Generic Data Entry is identifiable by its Section Type field,
and the data structures associated are also in the UEFI spec.
* The GUIDs are listed in the Section Type field of the CPER
Section Descriptor structure. BERT doesn't use this structure
but simply uses its GUIDs.
* Data structures used in the Generic Data Entry are named as
Error Sections in the UEFI spec.
* Some sections may optionally include a variable number of
additional structures, e.g. an IA32/X64 processor error
can report error information as well as machine contexts.
It is worth noting that the Linux kernel (as of v4.4) does not attempt
to parse IA32/X64 sections, and opts to hexdump them instead.

As far as I can see this Kconfig option was used wrong ever since it
was added. According to the commit message of 107f72e (Re-declare
CACHE_ROM_SIZE as aligned ROM_SIZE for MTRR), it was only necessary
to prevent overlapping with CAR.
Let's handle the potential overlap in C macros instead and get rid
of that option. Currently, it was only used by most FSP1.0 boards,
and only because the `fsp1_0/Kconfig` set it to CBFS_SIZE (WTF?).

Masked ROMs are the silent killers of boot speed on devices without
memory-mapped SPI flash. They often contain awfully slow SPI drivers
(presumably bit-banged) that take hundreds of milliseconds to load our
bootblock, and every extra kilobyte of bootblock size has a hugely
disproportionate impact on boot speed. The coreboot timestamps can never
show that component, but it impacts our users all the same.
This patch tries to alleviate that issue a bit by allowing us to
compress the bootblock with LZ4, which can cut its size down to nearly
half. Of course, masked ROMs usually don't come with decompression
algorithms built in, so we need to introduce a little decompression stub
that can decompress the rest of the bootblock. This is done by creating
a new "decompressor" stage which runs before the bootblock, but includes
the compressed bootblock code in its data section. It needs to be as
small as possible to get a real benefit from this approach, which means
no device drivers, no console output, no exception handling, etc.
Besides the decompression algorithm itself we only include the timer
driver so that we can measure the boot speed impact of decompression. On
ARM and ARM64 systems, we also need to give SoC code a chance to
initialize the MMU, since running decompression without MMU is
prohibitively slow on these architectures.
This feature is implemented for ARM and ARM64 architectures for now,
although most of it is architecture-independent and it should be
relatively simple to port to other platforms where a masked ROM loads
the bootblock into SRAM. It is also supposed to be a clean starting
point from which later optimizations can hopefully cut down the
decompression stub size (currently ~4K on RK3399) a bit more.
NOTE: Bootblock compression is not for everyone. Possible side effects
include trying to run LZ4 on CPUs that come out of reset extremely
underclocked or enabling this too early in SoC bring-up and getting
frustrated trying to find issues in an undebuggable environment. Ask
your SoC vendor if bootblock compression is right for you.

The BOARD_ID_MANUAL and BOARD_ID_STRING options were introduced for the
Urara board which is now long dead, and have never been used anywhere
else. They were trying to do something that we usually handle with a
separate SKU ID these days, whereas BOARD_ID is supposed to be reserved
for different revisions of the same board/SKU. Get rid of it to make
further refactoring of other options easier.
Also shove some stuff back into the Urara mainboard that should've never
crept into generic headers.

The CR50 TPM can do both SPI and I2C communication. However,
there's situations where policy needs to be applied for CR50
generically regardless of the I/O transport. Therefore add
MAINBOARD_HAS_TPM_CR50 to encompass that. Additionally,
once the mainboard has selected CR50 TPM automatically select
MAINBOARD_HAS_TPM2 since CR50 TPM is TPM 2.0.

necessary support:
COMMON_CBFS_SPI_WRAPPER users
soc/intel/apollolake
soc/intel/baytrail
soc/intel/braswell
soc/intel/broadwell
soc/intel/skylake
The SPI_FLASH option is auto-selected if the platform provides
write supoprt for the boot device and SPI flash is the boot
device.
Other platforms may provide similar support, but they do that
in a device specific manner such as selecting SPI_FLASH
explicitly. This provides clearance against build failures
where chipsets don't provide SPI API implementations even
though the platform may use a SPI flash to boot.

specific to SPI flash. As such it should be moved into

it correctly depends on BOOT_DEVICE_SPI_FLASH. Additionally
that allows the auto-selection of SPI_FLASH by a platform
selecting COMMON_CBFS_SPI_WRAPPER which allows for culling
of SPI_FLASH selections everywhere.

Almost all boards and chipsets within the codebase assume or
use SPI flash as the boot device. Therefore, provide an option
for the boards/chipsets which don't currently support SPI flash
as the boot device. The default is to assume SPI flash is the
boot device unless otherwise instructed. This falls in line
with the current assumptions, but it also allows one to
differentiate a platform desiring SPI flash support while it not
being the actual boot device.
One thing to note is that while google/daisy does boot with SPI
flash part no SPI API interfaces were ever implemented. Therefore,
mark that board as not having a SPI boot device.

Until now it was assumed that all TPM devices were of the same type
(TCG 1.2 spec compliant) and x86 based boards had LPC connected TPMs
and all other boards had I2C connected TPMs.
With the advent of TPM2 specification there is a need to be able to
configure different combinations of TPM types (TPM or TPM2) and
interfaces (LPC, I2C and SPI).
This patch allows to do it. Picking Chrome OS still assumes that the
board has a TPM device, but adding MAINBOARD_HAS_TPM2 to the board's
Kconfig will trigger including of TPM2 instead.
MAINBOARD_HAS_LPC_TPM forces the interface to be set to LPC, adding
SPI_TPM to the board config switches interface choice to SPI, and if
neither of the two is defined, the interface is assumed to be I2C.

such cases, cbfs_prog_stage_load should check for NO_XIP_EARLY_STAGES
instead of relying on ARCH_X86 to decide if a stage is XIP.

Before multi-CBFS support was added, x86 platforms cached their
ramstage in TSEG so that it could be re-used on the resume
path. However, more resources/assets are being put in cbfs that are
utilized during ramstage. Just caching ramstage does not mean that
correct cbfs region is used for all the data. Thus, provide an option
to allow platforms to skip caching any component for resume.

On modern x86 platforms like apollolake, pre-RAM stages verstage and
romstage run within the cache-as-ram region. Thus, we do not need to
pass in the --xip parameter to cbfstool while adding these
stages. Introduce a new Kconfig variable NO_XIP_EARLY_STAGES which is
default false for all x86 platforms. Apollolake selects this option
since it supports code execution with CAR.

This patch ports the LZ4 decompression code that debuted in libpayload
last year to coreboot for use in CBFS stages (upgrading the base
algorithm to LZ4's dev branch to access the new in-place decompression
checks). This is especially useful for pre-RAM stages in constrained
SRAM-based systems, which previously could not be compressed due to
the size requirements of the LZMA scratchpad and bounce buffer. The
LZ4 algorithm offers a very lean decompressor function and in-place
decompression support to achieve roughly the same boot speed gains
(trading compression ratio for decompression time) with nearly no
memory overhead.
For now we only activate it for the stages that had previously not been
compressed at all on non-XIP (read: non-x86) boards. In the future we
may also consider replacing LZMA completely for certain boards, since
which algorithm wins out on boot speed depends on board-specific
parameters (architecture, processor speed, SPI transfer rate, etc.).

This patch generalizes the approach previously used for ARM32
TTB_SUBTABLES to "auto-detect" whether a certain region was defined in
memlayout.ld. This allows us to get rid of the explicit Kconfig for the
TIMESTAMP region, reducing configuration redundancy and avoiding
confusion when setting up future boards.
(Removing armv4/bootblock_simple.c because it references this Kconfig
and it is a dead file that I just forgot to remove in CL:12076.)

We want the question for CBFS size to be next to the rom size in the
mainboard directory, but that doesn't seem to work for how people
want to set the defaults. Instead of having the list of exceptions
to the size, just set the defaults at the end of kconfig.
- Move the defaults for chipsets not setting HAVE_INTEL_FIRMWARE into
the chipset Kconfigs (gm45, nehalem, sandybridge, x4x)
- Override the default for HAVE_INTEL_FIRMWARE on skylake.
- Move the HAVE_INTEL_FIRMWARE default setting into the firmware
Kconfig file
- Move the location of the default CBFS_SIZE=ROM_SIZE to the end of
the top level kconfig file, while leaving the question where it is.
Test=rebuild Kconfig files before and after the change, verify that
they are how they were intended to be.
Note: the Skylake boards actually changed value, because they were
picking up the 0x100000 from HAVE_INTEL_FIRMWARE instead of the
0x200000 desired. This was due to the SOC_INTEL_SKYLAKE being after
the HAVE_INTEL_FIRMWARE default. Affected boards were:
Google chell, glados, & lars and Intel kunimitsu.

For x86 systems which resume through the reset vector one needs to
ensure the the RW slot taken at resume time matches the one at
boot time. The reason is that any assets pulled out of the boot
media need to match how the platform previously booted. To do
that one needs obtain the hash digest of the chosen slot, and it
needs to be saved in a secure place on the normal boot path. On
resume one needs to retrieve the hash digest back to compare it
with the chosen slot. If they don't match resuming won't be
possible.

- Add a target at the end of the build that can be used to run additional
scripts or additional targets after coreboot.rom is built.
- Source a site-local Kconfig file to allow site-specific configuration.
This eliminates the need to add a hook for a script at the end of the
build because you can add one yourself in site-local.
Example site-local/Makefile.inc:
build_complete::
ifeq ($(CONFIG_SITE_LOCAL),y)
echo "Running additional steps in site-local"
# run some script here to make my build unreproducible.

.phony: build_complete
Example site-local/Kconfig:
menu "site-local"
config SITE_LOCAL
bool "site-local enabled"
help

One special case is google/veyron's chromeos.fmd, which is used for a
larger set of boards - no problem since the converted fmd was the same

Set aside 128K for the bootblock on non-x86 systems (where the COREBOOT
region ends up at the beginning of flash). This becomes necessary
because we're working without a real cbfs master header (exists for
transition only), which carved out the space for the offset.
