gcc seems to have some stupid problem with deciding when to inline byte
swapping functions (https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=92716).
Using the compiler builtin instead seems to solve the problem.
(This doesn't yet solve the issue for the read_be32()-family of
functions, which we should maybe just get rid of at some point?)

This patch removes the recently added update8/16/32/64() API and
replaces it with clrsetbits8/16/32/64(). This is more in line with the
existing endian-specific clrsetbits_le16/32/64() functions that have
been used for this task on some platforms already. Rename clrsetbits_8()
to clrsetbits8() to be in line with the new naming.
Keep this stuff in <device/mmio.h> and get rid of <mmio.h> again because
having both is confusing and we seem to have been standardizing on
<device/mmio.h> as the standard arch-independent header that all
platforms should include already.
Also sync libpayload back up with what we have in coreboot. (I'm the
original author of the clrsetbits_le32-definitions so I'm relicensing
them to BSD here.)

bebitenc() just runs a downward loop over the same body as lebitenc().
That doesn't give you a byte-swapped result, it gives you the same final
value, just starting from the other side to fill it in. (Also, it
confused i++ and i--, so it really gives you a compiler error.)
The correct code needs to have the array index inverted relative to the
bit shift index to produce a big endian result.

This will make the code work with the different styles
of Kconfig (emit unset bools vs don't emit unset bools)

setbits_le32() is not really arch-specific... the arch-specific part of
accessing memory is wrapped by readl() and writel(), and the endianness
can be accounted for with the right macros. Generalize the definitions,
add a be32 version and move them to endian.h so that all platforms can
use them. Also include endian.h from libpayload.h so we won't update any
payload's old use of the macros (endianness is something useful enough
to always have avalable anyway, and shouldn't clash with other things).
This also fixes a bug where these macros would only be available if
libpayload-config.h had been independently included before.
Also fix a bug with readl() macros on all archs where they refused to
work on const pointers (which they should).

If a programming error is detected, die can be used to print a message and
stop execution similar to failing an assert. There's also a "die_if" function
which is conditional.
die functions, like asserts, should be used to trap programming errors and not
when the hardware does something wrong. If all code was written perfectly, no
die function would ever be called. In other words, it would be appropriate to
use die if a function was called with a value that was out of bounds or if
malloc failed. It wouldn't be appropriate if an external device doesn't
respond.
In the future, the die family of functions might print a stack trace or show
other debugging info.

libpayload: Fix the license in some files which were accidentally made GPL.
Some files were accidentally made GPL when they were added to libpayload. This
change changes them over to a BSD license to be in line with the intended
license of libpayload.

When libpayload header files are included in the payload itself, it's possible
that the payloads config settings will conflict with the ones in libpayload.
It's also possible for the libpayload config settings to conflict with the
payloads. To avoid that, the libpayload config settings have _LP_ (for
libpayload) added to them. The symbols themselves as defined in the Config.in files
are still the same, but the prefix added to them is now CONFIG_LP_ instead of just
CONFIG_.

Alignment-agnostic encode/decode bytestream to/from little/big endian.
The le16enc(), le16dec(), le32enc(), le32dec() functions encode and
decode integers to/from byte strings on any alignment in big/little
endian format. See BYTEORDER(9).

In their current macro form, any arguments that are expressions will be
evaluated multiple times. That can cause problems if they have side effects,
and might not even compile if the overall expression is ambiguous, for
instance if you pass in foo++.
Built with code that previously wouldn't compile because the macros
expanded to ambiguous expressions.

The functions in endian.h (betoh{l,w,ll} and others) were named differently from
the well-known BSD/glibc style endian functions (ex, betoh{16,32,64}). We should
provide the BSD/glibc style functions to prevent confusion.

The endianness of an architecture is now set up automatically using Kconfig
and some common code. The available conversion functions were also expanded
to go to or from a particular endianness. Those use the abbreviation le or be
for little or big endian.
Built for Stumpy and saw coreinfo cbfs support work which uses network
byte order. Used the functions which convert to little endian to implement an
AHCI driver. The source arch is also little endian, so they were effectively
(and successfully) inert.
