amdfwtool: Change the growing pointer with cautions
Changing the pointer outside the function is not allowed.
Check if it overflows everytime it changes.
TEST=Binary identical on amd/birman amd/chausie amd/majolica
amd/gardenia pcengines/apu2 amd/mandolin
