From 4e4a7637030f01bc3b5aa5943c24e4f1d157ebb8 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Paul Menzel Date: Sun, 11 Oct 2015 11:57:44 +0200 Subject: Enable time stamp collection by default on x86 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Collecting time stamps is useful, especially for board status uploads, and doesn’t come with any downsides. So enable it by default on as many boards as possible. The boards below currently fail to build properly, so only enable it by default on x86. 1. board.CUBIETECH_CUBIEBOARD 2. board.EMULATION_QEMU_POWER8 3. board.EMULATION_QEMU_UCB_RISCV 4. board.EMULATION_SPIKE_UCB_RISCV 5. board.LOWRISC_NEXYS4DDR 6. board.TI_BEAGLEBONE Change-Id: Ib01176fc2a4dffe37827c136bb8214083ce61180 Signed-off-by: Paul Menzel Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/11864 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Nico Huber --- src/Kconfig | 1 + 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+) diff --git a/src/Kconfig b/src/Kconfig index adeeb7c687..8608b46644 100644 --- a/src/Kconfig +++ b/src/Kconfig @@ -180,6 +180,7 @@ config INCLUDE_CONFIG_FILE config COLLECT_TIMESTAMPS bool "Create a table of timestamps collected during boot" + default y if ARCH_X86 help Make coreboot create a table of timer-ID/timer-value pairs to allow measuring time spent at different phases of the boot process. -- cgit v1.2.3
