Stefan thinks they don't add value.
Command used:
sed -i -e '/file is part of /d' $(git grep "file is part of " |egrep ":( */\*.*\*/\$|#|;#|-- | *\* )" | cut -d: -f1 |grep -v crossgcc |grep -v gcov | grep -v /elf.h |grep -v nvramtool)
The exceptions are for:
- crossgcc (patch file)
- gcov (imported from gcc)
- elf.h (imported from GNU's libc)
- nvramtool (more complicated header)

They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example:
- What's a "Copyright $year-present"?
- Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current
copyright holder?
- People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even
though they only deleted stuff
- Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year,
because why not?
- Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"?
- Or "Generated Code"?
Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in
individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead
and use the git history to deal with the rest.

This allows for minor optimization as num_timestamps becomes
a constant zero for a function with local scope. The loop
with calls to timestamp_add() gets removed from bootblock.

Enable support and add required files for the Braswell Bootblock in C.
The next changes are made support C_ENVIRONMENT_BOOTBLOCK:
- Add car_stage_entry() function bootblock-c_entry() functions.
- Specify config DCACHE_BSP_STACK_SIZE and C_ENV_BOOTBLOCK_SIZE.
- Add bootblock_c_entry().
- Move init from car_soc_XXX_console_init() to bootblock_soc_XXX_Init()
Removed the unused cache_as_ram_main() and weak car_XXX_XXX_console_init()

The same file was replicated three times for certain
soc/intel bootblocks, yet there are no indications or need to do
chipset-specific initialisation.
There is no harm in storing the TSC values in MMX registers
even when they would not be used.

It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address.
Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we
imported) looks out for that.
This is the result of util/scripts/no-fsf-addresses.sh with no further
editing.

The build system was previously determining the flow
and linking scripts bootblock code by the order of files
added to the bootblock_inc bootblock-y variables.Those
files were then concatenated together and built by a myriad of
make rules.
Now bootblock.S and bootblock.ld is added so that bootblock
can be built and linked using the default build rules.
CHIPSET_BOOTBLOCK_INCLUDE is introduced in order to allow the
chipset code to place include files in the path of the bootblock
program -- a replacement for the chipset_bootblock_inc
make variable.
