2019-10-26soc/intel/skylake: drop support for FSP 1.1Michael Niewöhner
This drops support for FSP 1.1 in soc/intel/skylake, after all boards have been migrated to FSP 2.0, which is backwards compatible. Any moving of files happens in a follow-up commit to make review easier. 2019-10-16intel/broadwell: Implement proper backlight PWM configNico Huber
Port the backlight-PWM handling from Skylake instead of the previously used Haswell version. We use a 200Hz PWM signal for all boards. Which is higher than the previous devicetree value, 183Hz, but that was over- ridden by the VBIOS anyway. 200Hz is still very low, considering LED backlights, but accurate values are unknown at this time. Lynx Point, the PCH for Haswell and Broadwell, is a transition point for the backlight-PWM config. On platforms with a PCH, we have: o Before Lynx Point: The CPU has no PWM pin and sends the PWM duty-cycle setting to the PCH. The PCH can choose to ignore that and use its own setting (BLM_PCH_OVERRIDE_ENABLE). We use the CPU setting on these platforms. o Lynx Point + Haswell: The CPU has an additional PWM pin but can be set up to send its setting to the PCH as before. The PCH can still choose to ignore that. We use the CPU setting with Haswell. o Lynx Point + Broadwell: The CPU can't send its setting to the PCH anymore. BLM_PCH_ OVERRIDE_ENABLE must always be set(!) if the PCH PWM pin is used (it virtually always is). We have to use the PCH setting in this case. o After Lynx Point: Same as with Broadwell, only BLM_PCH_OVERRIDE_ENABLE is implied and the bit not implemented anymore. 2019-10-11mb/{razer,purism}: Don't select NO_POSTNico Huber
The NO_POST option covers more than classical port 80 output, hence selecting it seems wrong in any case. The default is still rather user patronizing, but let's keep it. As a side effect, this fixes the ability to override the default for NO_POST which Kconfig rejected while these boards selected it. (Seems like a bug in Kconfig, though.) 2019-08-20mb/{asrock,intel,purism}: Copy channel arrays separatelyJacob Garber
DqByteMapCh0 and DqByteMapCh1 are declared adjacently in the FSP_M_CONFIG struct, so it is tempting to begin memcpy at the address of the first array and overwrite both of them at once. However, FSP_M_CONFIG is not declared with the packed attribute, so this is not guaranteed to work and is undefined behaviour to boot. It is cleaner and less tricky to copy them independently. The same is true for DqsMapCpu2DramCh0 and DqsMapCpu2DramCh1, so we change those as well. 2019-03-01soc/intel/skylake: Unify serial IRQ optionsNico Huber
We had two ways to configure the serial IRQ mode. One time in the devicetree for FSP and one time through Kconfig for coreboot. We'll use `enum serirq_mode` from soc/intel/common/ as a devicetree option instead. As the default is `quiet mode` here and that is the most common mode, this saves us a lot of lines. In four cases kblrvp8, 11 and librem 13v2, 15v3, we had conflicting settings in devicetree and Kconfig. We'll maintain the `continuous` selection, although it might be that coreboot overrode this earlier on the kblrvps. Note: A lot of Google boards have serial IRQ enabled, while the pin seems to be unconnected? 2018-04-06purism/librem_skl: Add AC/DC LoadLine to VR ConfigYouness Alaoui
The FSP 2.0 needs to set the ac_loadline and dc_loadline for each VR config. Without it, the Loadline is considered to be 0 mOhm and this causes CPU temp to jump all over the place whenever the CPU is used. This is necessary since there are no VR_CONFIG icc mappings for Skylake SKUs, only KabyLake. These values were copied from the Google Poppy devicetree. This was tested on Purism Librem 13 v2. A bisect showed that the immediate shutdowns happened after commit [1] was merged which led to this solution. Change 1760cd3e (soc/intel/skylake: Use common/block/gpio) updated all skylake boards to use common gpio driver. Common gpio code defines PAD_CFG_GPI without GPIO_DRIVER ownership. However, for skylake PAD_CFG_GPI set GPIO_DRIVER ownership by default. This resulted in Linux kernel failing to configure all GPIO IRQs since the ownership was not set correctly. (Observed error in dmesg: "genirq: Setting trigger mode 3 for irq 201 failed (intel_gpio_irq_type+0x0/0x110)") This change fixes the above issue by replacing all uses of PAD_CFG_GPI in skylake mainboards to PAD_CFG_GPI_GPIO_DRIVER. 2017-06-09purism/librem13v2: Add initial directory for librem13 v2Youness Alaoui
Add the initial directory for the port of the Librem 13 v2. The base implementation was copied from the google/chell directory and the chell references were replaced. spd directory was removed since the RAM is not soldered on the MB. The Kconfig, board_info.txt and devicetree.cb files were modified to match the Librem 13 v2 hardware information. The romstage.c, mainboard.c, Makefile.in and dsdt.asl were modified to remove chromeos specific code. The boardid.c, chromeos.c, chromeos.fmd, cmos.layout, ec.c, ec.h and smihandler.c files were removed from the tree, and the acpi directory was replaced with the acpi directory from the purism/librem13 board. These changes allow us to remove the references to chromeos specific code and allow coreboot to compile when the librem13v2 board is selected. 2017-06-09purism/librem13v1: Set FADT revision to ACPI 3.0Matt DeVillier
The FADT revision was set to 5, but we do not implement the ACPI v5.0 specification, which prevents Windows from booting. Setting it to v3 (matching most other boards) fixes the issue and Windows now boots normally. Bug found by Matt DeVillier, fix tested by Youness Alaoui on Librem 13 v1 hardware.
