2022-01-28IASL: Ignore IASL's "Missing dependency" warningElyes HAOUAS
IASL compiler check for usage of _CRS, _DIS, _PRS, and _SRS objects: 1) If _PRS is present, must have _CRS and _SRS 2) If _SRS is present, must have _PRS (_PRS requires _CRS and _SRS) 3) If _DIS is present, must have _SRS (_SRS requires _PRS, _PRS requires _CRS and _SRS) 4) If _SRS is present, probably should have a _DIS (Remark only) IASL will issue a warning for each missing dependency. Ignore this warnings for existing ASL code and issue a message when the build is complete. 2021-10-15mainboard: Drop invalid `VGA_BIOS_FILE` defaultsAngel Pons
If the VGA BIOS file path for `VGA_BIOS_FILE` in a mainboard's Kconfig does not exist in the coreboot tree (including submodules), drop it. These files should be stored in the `site-local` subdirectory and the paths specified for each board in `site-local/Kconfig`. For example: config VGA_BIOS_FILE default "site-local/x200_vbios.bin" if BOARD_LENOVO_X200 Note that this is just an example. There are better ways to structure one's `site-local` subfolder. Using the `CONFIG_MAINBOARD_DIR` option would be one of them, though variants may still need special handling. Also, update autoport to not generate `VGA_BIOS_FILE` defaults. 2020-03-093rdparty/libgfxinit: Update submodule pointerNico Huber
Changes allow to use the integrated panel logic (power sequen- cing and backlight control) for more connectors. The Kconfigs GFX_GMA_PANEL_1_PORT and GFX_GMA_PANEL_2_PORT can now be set to any port, e.g. config GFX_GMA_PANEL_1_PORT default "DP3" Now that the panel logic is not tied to the `Internal` port choice anymore, we can properly split it into `LVDS` and `eDP`. This also adds Comet Lake PCI IDs which should still work the same as Kaby and Coffee Lake. 2018-08-05southbridge/intel/bd82x6x/Kconfig: Do not include any IFD by defaultAngel Pons
Since only a handful of boards have descriptor blobs in the tree, it makes no sense to have `HAVE_IFD_BIN` enabled by default then disabled on each mainboard. This patch flips the default value of said variable, rendering all current overrides unnecessary. The few boards which have an IFD in the blobs repo use `select HAVE_IFD_BIN` to enable adding the IFD by default. Since `HAVE_ME_BIN` depends on `HAVE_IFD_BIN`, the former has been removed alongside the latter, and has been added to the boards with a ME blob as `select HAVE_ME_BIN`. Both `HAVE_IFD_BIN` and `HAVE_ME_BIN` have been removed from autoport as well. This patch attempts to finish the separation between CONFIG_VBOOT and CONFIG_CHROMEOS by moving the remaining options and code (including image generation code for things like FWID and GBB flags, which are intrinsic to vboot itself) from src/vendorcode/google/chromeos to src/vboot. Also taking this opportunity to namespace all VBOOT Kconfig options, and clean up menuconfig visibility for them (i.e. some options were visible even though they were tied to the hardware while others were invisible even though it might make sense to change them). 2016-03-05sandybridge/gma_lvds: support both Sandy&Ivy on one boardIru Cai
Sandy and Ivy Bridge processors use the same socket, and a mainboard with the socket can support both types of CPUs. However, they use different native graphics init code for LVDS and cause a crash if running the wrong code. This change detects the CPU type and then selects the right code to run. It will add some more code in ramstage. It also merges the {SANDY,IVY}BRIDGE_LVDS symbol to one SANDYBRIDGE_IVYBRIDGE_LVDS. 2015-10-03sandybridge ivybridge: Treat native init as first class citizenAlexandru Gagniuc
This is a sad story. We have three different code paths for sandybridge and ivybridge: proper native path, google MRC path, and, everyone's favorite: Intel FSP path. For the purpose of this patch, the FSP path lives in its own little world, and doesn't concern us. Since MRC was first, when native files and variables were added, they were suffixed with "_native" to separate them from the existing code. This can cause confusion, as the suffix might make the native files seem parasitical. This has been bothering me for many months. MRC should be the parasitical path, especially since we fully support native init, and it works more reliably, on a wider range of hardware. There have been a few board ports that never made it to coreboot.org because MRC would hang. gigabyte/ga-b75m-d3h is a prime example: it did not work with MRC, so the effort was abandoned at first. Once the native path became available, the effort was restarted and the board is now supported. In honor of the hackers and pioneers who made the native code possible, rename things so that their effort is the first class citizen. 2014-05-19intel: Remove GFXUMA and related global variablesKyösti Mälkki
Remove use of global variables uma_memory_base and uma_memory_size from builds with Intel northbridges, as these variables can be kept within the chipset or even as stack locals. Intel platforms have no functional implemenation for option GFXUMA. If we did implement some choice between external and integrated graphics, it needs to be named in less obscure fashion.
