2022-03-07mb/google/glados: Restore ChromeEC tablet mode switch for caroline, caveMatt DeVillier
Commit 017b5c453a72f57ec785da1764939e24651ac5eb [ec/google/chromeec/acpi: Rename EC_ENABLE_TABLET_EVENT config] broke tablet mode on google/caroline and cave in mainline Linux kernels by changing the inclusion of the ChromeEC tablet mode ACPI handler. Fix this by addding it back (using the updated name guarding the inclusion of the tmbc ACPI). Test: build/boot google/cave under Linux 5.16, observe tablet mode handled correctly. 2021-01-21mb/google/glados: do UART pad configuration at board-levelMichael Niewöhner
UART pad configuration should not be done in common code, because that may cause short circuits, when the user sets a wrong UART index. Thus, add the corresponding pads to the early gpio table for the board as a first step. Common UART pad config code then gets dropped in CB:48829. Also switch to `bootblock_mainboard_early_init` to configure the pads in early bootblock before console initialization, to make the console work as early as possible. The board does not do any other gpio configuration in bootblock, so this should not influence behaviour in a negative way (e.g. breaking overrides). 2020-09-06mb: remove duplicated Make code for spd.bin generationMichael Niewöhner
Drop duplicated code for spd.bin generation that is provided globally in lib/Makefile.inc. For all affected boards it has been verified that the output binary functionally matches the original one. The changed execution order of Make instructions influenced the cbfs file order. Hence, the rom images can't be compared directly. Thus, the output files of the two timeless abuild runs have been compared. Further, it was verified that the final files in cbfs stay identical, by comparing the extracted cbfs of each board. The boards (possibly) needing modification could be found with something like this (with false positives, though): find src/mainboard -name Makefile.inc | \ xargs egrep 'SPD_BIN|SPD_DEPS' | cut -d: -f1 | sort -u Signed-off-by: Michael Niewöhner <foss@mniewoehner.de> Change-Id: Icd3ac0fd6c901228554115c6350d88bb49874587 Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/44774 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) <no-reply@coreboot.org> Reviewed-by: Nico Huber <nico.h@gmx.de>

2020-03-18mainboard/google: Remove copyright noticesPatrick Georgi
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. 2019-12-02mb/google/glados: restore device-specific VBTsMatt DeVillier
When migrating glados (and variants) to FSP 2.0, the older board- specific VBTs were dropped in favor of the default FSP 2.0 VBT due to compatibility issues. Now that libgfxinit is available and the default, restore the board-specific VBTs so that external displays function properly. Select MAINBOARD_NO_FSP_GOP for all variants except glados since FSP/GOP init will not function properly with the older VBTs. Test: build/boot chell and caroline variants w/libgfxinit, verify external displays now work again. 2019-08-20mb/google/{eve,glados}: Copy channel arrays separatelyJacob Garber
DqByteMapCh0 and DqByteMapCh1 are declared adjacently in the FSP_M_CONFIG struct, so it is tempting to begin memcpy at the address of the first array and overwrite both of them at once. However, FSP_M_CONFIG is not declared with the packed attribute, so this is not guaranteed to work and is undefined behaviour to boot. It is cleaner and less tricky to copy them independently. The same is true for DqsMapCpu2DramCh0 and DqsMapCpu2DramCh1, so we change those as well. 2019-03-01soc/intel/skylake: Unify serial IRQ optionsNico Huber
We had two ways to configure the serial IRQ mode. One time in the devicetree for FSP and one time through Kconfig for coreboot. We'll use `enum serirq_mode` from soc/intel/common/ as a devicetree option instead. As the default is `quiet mode` here and that is the most common mode, this saves us a lot of lines. In four cases kblrvp8, 11 and librem 13v2, 15v3, we had conflicting settings in devicetree and Kconfig. We'll maintain the `continuous` selection, although it might be that coreboot overrode this earlier on the kblrvps.
