2024-11-27drivers/wifi: Support Drive Strength BRI Rsp TableJeremy Compostella
Drive Strength BRI Rsp Object provides information from the OEM platforms if they have replaced the Bluetooth Radio Interface resistor to overcome the potential STEP errors on their designs. Based on configuration, CNV firmware shall adjust the BRI Rsp line drive strength. The bri_resistor_value is encoded as follow: | Bit | Val | Description | Default | |------+-----+---------------------------------------------+---------| | 0 | 0 | Device FW default values | 1 | | | 1 | Override device FW default values | | | 3:1 | 0 | Reserved (shall be set to 0) | 0 | | 7:4 | 0 | DSBR override values (only if bit 0 is set) | 0xf | | 31:7 | 0 | Reserved (shall be set to 0) | 0 | Possible values: - 0xf1 (default): indicates that the resistor on board is 33 Ohm - 0x0 or 0xb1: indicates that the resistor on board is 10 Ohm The implementation follows document 559910 Intel Connectivity Platforms BIOS Guideline revision 9.2 specification. 2021-03-17sar: Fix semantics of `get_wifi_sar_cbfs_filename()`Furquan Shaikh
Currently, if `get_wifi_sar_cbfs_filename()` returns NULL, then `get_wifi_sar_limits()` assumes that the default filename is used for CBFS SAR file. This prevents a board from supporting different models using the same firmware -- some which require SAR support and some which don't. This change updates the logic in `get_wifi_sar_limits()` to return early if filename is not provided by the mainboard. In order to maintain the same logic as before, current mainboards are updated to return WIFI_SAR_CBFS_DEFAULT_FILENAME instead of NULL in default case. They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example: - What's a "Copyright $year-present"? - Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current copyright holder? - People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even though they only deleted stuff - Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year, because why not? - Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"? - Or "Generated Code"? Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead and use the git history to deal with the rest. Using a fixed filename only allows for one SAR configuration to be checked into CBFS. However, we have devices with shared firmware that would desire separate SAR configurations. This change allows boards to define a function to select one of multiple files stored in CBFS to be used. 2018-10-08Move compiler.h to commonlibNico Huber
Its spreading copies got out of sync. And as it is not a standard header but used in commonlib code, it belongs into commonlib. While we are at it, always include it via GCC's `-include` switch. Some Windows and BSD quirk handling went into the util copies. We always guard from redefinitions now to prevent further issues. 2018-07-13intel/wifi: Add WGDS ACPI method for Geo Aware SARPratik Prajapati
To comply with all relevant bodies throughout the world, SAR settings take into account the lowest common denominator Tx power settings. This setup may lead to non-optimal performance when the user location is in a country that may allow higher power setting. The purpose of Wireless Geo Delta Settings (WGDS) is to provide offset settings for FCC, Europe, Japan and Rest of the world. These offsets would be added (by Intel wifi driver) to the base SAR Tx Power as defined in WRDS and EWRD BUG=b:65155728 BRANCH=none TEST=WGDS ACPI table gets created as expected. 2017-01-09chromeos: Implement locating and decoding wifi sar data from VPDRobbie Zhang
A VPD entry "wifi_sar" needs to be created which contains a heximal encoded string in length of 40 bytes. get_wifi_sar_limits() function retrieves and decodes the data from the VPD entry, which would later be consumed by platform code.
