Macros can be confusing on their own; hiding commas make things worse.
This can sometimes be downright misleading. A "good" example would be
the code in soc/intel/xeon_sp/spr/chip.c:
CHIP_NAME("Intel SapphireRapids-SP").enable_dev = chip_enable_dev,
This appears as CHIP_NAME() being some struct when in fact these are
defining 2 separate members of the same struct.
It was decided to remove this macro altogether, as it does not do
anything special and incurs a maintenance burden.

The .inc suffix is confusing to various tools as it's not specific to
Makefiles. This means that editors don't recognize the files, and don't
open them with highlighting and any other specific editor functionality.
This issue is also seen in the release notes generation script where
Makefiles get renamed before running cloc.

IASL version 20180927 and greater, detects Unnecessary/redundant uses of

It then sends a remark "^ Unnecessary/redundant use of Offset"
example:
OperationRegion (OPR1, SystemMemory, 0x100, 0x100)
Field (OPR1)
{
Offset (0), // Never needed
FLD1, 32,
Offset (4), // Redundant, offset is already 4 (bytes)
FLD2, 8,
Offset (64), // OK use of Offset.

They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example:
- What's a "Copyright $year-present"?
- Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current
copyright holder?
- People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even
though they only deleted stuff
- Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year,
because why not?
- Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"?
- Or "Generated Code"?
Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in
individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead
and use the git history to deal with the rest.

All chip_operations are exluded with use of DEVTREE_EARLY

board specific options config.
Additionally, Windows [8/8.1/10] fails to enumerate the keyboard when
its ACPI entry is located under the SIO device since it is missing an
_HID entry, so add the appropriate value per ACPI spec 5 ch. 9.7

On certain Winbond SuperIO devices, when a PS/2 mouse is not
present on the auxiliary channel both channels will cease to
function if the auxiliary channel is probed while the primary
channel is active. Therefore, knowledge of mouse presence
must be gathered by coreboot during early boot, and used to
enable or disable the auxiliary PS/2 port before control is
passed to the operating system.
Add auxiliary channel PS/2 device presence detect, and update
the Winbond W83667HG-A driver to flag the auxiliary channel as
disabled if no device was detected.

As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.
However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.
util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

This change switches all ECs and the generic EC ACPI code
to be autoincluded by Makefile.inc, rather than having to be
mentioned explicitly in ec/Makefile.inc or in
ec/<vendor>/Makefile.inc.
This means, vendor and ec directories are now "drop
in", e.g. be placed in the coreboot directory hierarchy
without having to modify any higher level coreboot files.
The long term plan is to enable out of tree components to be
built with a given coreboot version (given that the API did not
change).

The in source comment:
/* This function avoids an error on serial console. */
refers to the resource allocator needing to find a non-NULL
function pointer else complaints of "... missing read_resources"
will be spewed.
Unfortunately/fortunately (depending on the time of day) compiler
optimisers have gotten a bit better at optimising away no-op functions
leading to the very message these stubs attempted to avoid. By using
the DEVICE_NOOP formalism that is static inlined 'suggests' (not enforces)
to the compiler to keep these symbols around.

This is a empty struct that has propagated through the superio's & ec's
but really does nothing. Time to get rid of it before it adds yet more
cruft. However, since this touches many superio's at once we do this in
stages by first changing the function type to be a pure procedure.

This patch implements a simple interface between the EC and mainboard
ASL code. This interface does not rely on the preprocessor, and
prevents name conflicts by scoping the interface methods. As this
interface is documented on the coreboot wiki, an in-tree documentation
is not provided.

The GP15 ACPI object was used to get the state of the lid. However
GP15 is specific to certain Intel chipsets, and will not always be in
the ACPI namespace. Instead of hardcoding this object, let the
mainboard define it.
Also, document the ACPI interface for the EC.
