2023-08-06drivers: Add SPDX license headers to MakefilesMartin Roth
To help identify the licenses of the various files contained in the coreboot source, we've added SPDX headers to the top of all of the .c and .h files. This extends that practice to Makefiles. Any file in the coreboot project without a specific license is bound to the license of the overall coreboot project, GPL Version 2. This patch adds the GPL V2 license identifier to the top of all makefiles in the drivers directory that don't already have an SPDX license line at the top. 2023-05-13drivers/net/r8168: add ACPI _STA field entryMatt DeVillier
Add _STA field entry for r8168 ACPI device and set to ACPI_STATUS_DEVICE_HIDDEN_ON in order to hide device from OS (Windows) as there is no driver needed (or available). Windows correctly attaches drivers to the PCIe device, the separate ACPI device is unused and unneeded. Linux is unaffected as it does not use the ACPI device status. This patch provides the functionality to set the RGMII output impedance manually. 2020-05-02acpi: Move ACPI table support out of arch/x86 (3/5)Furquan Shaikh
This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own directory. In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into multiple CLs. This is change 3/5 which basically is generated by running the following command: $ git grep -iIl "arch/acpi" | xargs sed -i 's/arch\/acpi/acpi\/acpi/g' BUG=b:155428745 Change-Id: I16b1c45d954d6440fb9db1d3710063a47b582eae Signed-off-by: Furquan Shaikh <furquan@google.com> Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/40938 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) <no-reply@coreboot.org> Reviewed-by: HAOUAS Elyes <ehaouas@noos.fr>

If RT8168_GET_MAC_FROM_VPD selected, use r8168 driver with some slight mods to check the VPD for a mac address. Otherwise, check for mac address in cbfs. Use default mac address if cannot find one. BUG=b:62090148, b:35775024 BRANCH=None TEST=Boot to kernel. Insert mac address into VPD vpd -s ethernet_mac=<address> reboot the system. Ensure we have ip address and corresponding mac address with ifconfig. Ensure ethernet controller shows up with lspci. 2017-01-26drivers/net/rt8168: Add a macaddress cbfsfile using KconfigArthur Heymans
The default macaddress in rt8168.c can be changed with a cbfsfile called macaddress. This patch makes it possible to add such a file using Kconfig at build time. This also changes the name of the cbfsfile from "macaddress" to "rt8168-macaddress" to avoid confusion. 2016-12-08drivers/r8168: Read default MAC address from CBFSDamien Zammit
This driver applies to 10ec:8168 Previously, this driver resetted the nic and set a hardcoded MAC address. Now the driver reads a default MAC address from CBFS in the form of a string: echo -n "xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx" > macaddress and store the macaddress file in CBFS with the same name. TESTED on GA-G41M-ES2L and GA-945GCM-S2L: MAC address was detected Change-Id: If1af91120fa3efca3f1406334a83ed1e59fbdaf9 Signed-off-by: Damien Zammit <damien@zamaudio.com> Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/17672 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Aaron Durbin <adurbin@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Nico Huber <nico.h@gmx.de>

2016-11-21net/r8167: do net set bus msater enableRonald G. Minnich
It's very dangerous to set bus master enable, and more so on a NIC, where random broadcast packets can end up in memory in unexpected ways. If your kernel has trouble with the fact that we do not set bus master enable, you need to fix your kernel. Change-Id: If07fde7961ad80125567240cb43db036346bef97 Signed-off-by: Ronald G. 2016-05-31drivers/net/r8168: Add driver for realtek nicDamien Zammit
One thing that is vital to this patch is the MAC address setting in case the EEPROM/efuse is unconfigured. Linux now recognises the default MAC address on GA-G41M-ES2L which does rely on the default bios settings for the MAC address.
