With using a Kconfig option to add the x86 LAPIC support code to the
build, there's no need for adding the corresponding directory to subdirs
in the CPU/SoC Makefile. Comparing which CPU/SoC Makefiles added
(cpu/)x86/mtrr and (cpu/)x86/lapic before this and the corresponding
MTRR code selection patch and having verified that all platforms
added the MTRR code on that patch shows that soc/example/min86 and
soc/intel/quark are the only platforms that don't end up selecting the
LAPIC code. So for now the default value of CPU_X86_LAPIC is chosen as y
which gets overridden to n in the Kconfig of the two SoCs mentioned
above.

Since cpu/x86/Makefile.inc already adds the pae sub-directory, there is
no need to include it in the Makefile of a CPU or SoC, so remove it from
those Makefiles.

All x86-based CPUs and SoCs in the coreboot tree end up including the
Makefile in cpu/x86/mtrr, so include this directly in the Makefile in
cpu/x86 to add it for all x86 CPUs/SoCs. In the unlikely case that a new
x86 CPU/SoC will be added, a CPU_X86_MTRR Kconfig option that is
selected be default could be added and the new CPU/SoC without MTRR
support can override this option that then will be used in the Makefile
to guard adding the Makefile from the cpu/x86/mtrr sub-directory.
In cpu/intel all models except model 2065X and 206AX are selcted by a
socket and rely on the socket's Makefile.inc to add x86/mtrr to the
subdirs, so those models don't add x86/mtrr themselves. The Intel
Broadwell SoC selects CPU_INTEL_HASWELL and which added x86/mtrr to the
subdirs. The Intel Xeon SP SoC directory contains two sub-folders for
different versions or generations which both add x86/mtrr to the subdirs
in their Makefiles.

The code under `cpu/x86/tsc` is only compiled in when its `Makefile.inc`
is included from platform (CPU/SoC) code and the `UDELAY_TSC` Kconfig
option is enabled.
Include `cpu/x86/tsc/Makefile.inc` once from `cpu/x86/Makefile.inc` and
drop the now-redundant inclusions from platform code. Also, deduplicate
the `UDELAY_TSC` guards.

When accessing the MCA MSRs, the MCA bank number gets multiplied by 4
and added to the IA32_MC0_* define to get the MSR number. Add a macro
that already does this calculation to avoid open coding this repeatedly.

Use the common mca_get_bank_count function instead of open-coding the
functionality to get the MCA bank number. Also re-type the num_banks
variable from signed in to unsigned int, since the number of MCA bank is
always positive.

Introduce the `ARCH_ALL_STAGES_X86` Kconfig symbol to automatically
select the per-stage arch options. Subsequent commits will leverage
this to allow choosing between 32-bit and 64-bit coreboot where all
stages are x86. AMD Picasso and AMD Cezanne are the only exceptions
to this rule: they disable `ARCH_ALL_STAGES_X86` and explicitly set
the per-stage arch options accordingly.

To generalise the choice of 32-bit or 64-bit coreboot on x86 hardware,
have platforms select `ARCH_X86` directly instead of through per-stage
Kconfig options, effectively reversing the dependency order.

Create the correct MTRR solution based on the physical address space
provided by RESOURCE_ALLOCATOR_V4. Previously CPU initialization did not
account for lost C6 DRAM storage MTRR during postcar frame creation.
The BSP on 2GB has been stripped from UC MTRR covering C6 DRAM and
overlapping with usable DRAM WB MTRR. However this UC MTRR remained on
APs which caused inconsistent MTRRs warning in Linux. Use generic MTRR
function to create correct MTRR solution that propagates to APs. This
also fixes the inconsistent MTRRs warning.
TEST=boot Debian with Linux 4.14 on apu2 4GB ECC and apu3 2GB no-ECC

With top-aligned bootblock this is no longer globally needed.
The default maximum is now a generous 256 KiB with couple
platforms having lower limits of 32 KiB and 64 KiB.

This patch renames cbfs_boot_map_with_leak() and cbfs_boot_load_file()
to cbfs_map() and cbfs_load() respectively. This is supposed to be the
start of a new, better organized CBFS API where the most common
operations have the most simple and straight-forward names. Less
commonly used variants of these operations (e.g. cbfs_ro_load() or
cbfs_region_load()) can be introduced later. It seems unnecessary to
keep carrying around "boot" in the names of most CBFS APIs if the vast
majority of accesses go to the boot CBFS (instead, more unusual
operations should have longer names that describe how they diverge from
the common ones).
cbfs_map() is paired with a new cbfs_unmap() to allow callers to cleanly
reap mappings when desired. A few new cbfs_unmap() calls are added to
generic code where it makes sense, but it seems unnecessary to introduce
this everywhere in platform or architecture specific code where the boot
medium is known to be memory-mapped anyway. In fact, even for
non-memory-mapped platforms, sometimes leaking a mapping to the CBFS
cache is a much cleaner solution than jumping through hoops to provide
some other storage for some long-lived file object, and it shouldn't be
outright forbidden when it makes sense.
Additionally, remove the type arguments from these function signatures.
The goal is to eventually remove type arguments for lookup from the
whole CBFS API. Filenames already uniquely identify CBFS files. The type
field is just informational, and there should be APIs to allow callers
to check it when desired, but it's not clear what we gain from forcing
this as a parameter into every single CBFS access when the vast majority
of the time it provides no additional value and is just clutter.

Nearly every x86 platform uses the same arch for all stages. The only
exception is Picasso. So, factor out redundant symbols from the rest.
Alder Lake is not yet complete, so it has been skipped for now.

According to the comments of

, which is about Microcode patch for amd/picasso.
Change the code with the same way.
The changes include:
1. combine the microcode_xxx.c and update_microcode.c
into one source.
2. Redefine the microcode updating function to eliminate
the parameter. Get the revision ID in the black box.
Reduce the depth of function calls.
3. Get the revision ID by bitwise calculation instead of
lookup table.
4. Reduce the confusing type casts.
5. Squash some lines.
We do not change the way it used to be. The code assume
only one microcode is integrated in CBFS. If needed in future,
41719 is the example of integrating multiple binaries.
And, 41719 depends on the definition in this patch.

The ACPI Spec 2.0 states, that Processor declarations should be made
within the ACPI namespace \_SB and not \_PR anymore. \_PR is deprecated
and is removed here.
Additionally add processor scope patching for P-State SSDT created by
AGESA, becasue AGESA creates the tables with processors in \_PR scope.
TEST=boot Debian Linux on PC Engines apu2, check dmesg that there are
no errors, decompile ACPI tables with acpica to check whether the
processor scope is correct and if IASL does not complain on wrong
checksum, run FWTS

Modify CAR setup to work in bootblock. Provide bootblock C file with
necessary C bootblock functions. Additionally chache the ROM and set
the MMCONF base before jumping to bootblock main.

SSE2 instructions are supported by family14 and newer.
SSE will be automatically enabled in bootblock_crt0 for platforms that
migrate to C bootblock. Because of that family specific CAR setup may
avoid additional code.

It is only called in ramstage. Even if it was called in
romstage, execution flow is such that BSP and AP CPUs
should not be able to enter update_microcode() routine
concurrently.
Also the Kconfig guarding the spin_lock() calls are not
selected nor are the lock variables declared for these
platforms.

It is easier to track CAR_GLOBAL_MIGRATION which is
the approach to be deprecated with the next release.
This change enforces new policy; POSTCAR_STAGE=y is

Code is based on microcode update procedure from fam10-15h with necessary
microcode blob structure updates for fam16h.
Currently updating microcode in romstage seem to be impossible. AGESA is
overriding the microcode patch regardles of the current microcode revision
patched on CPU. Use ramstage CPU init procedures to update microcode easily.
Tested with microcode blob 07030106 released 2018-02-09 from
platomav/CPUMicrocodes GitHub repository on apu2 platform.
TEST=boot Linux kernel 4.14.50 on PC Engines apu2 and run dmesg to see
patch_level=0x07030106 on all cores

platforms as well. Furthermore, some of those should

Move all boards that have moved away from AGESA_LEGACY_WRAPPER
or BINARYPI_LEGACY_WRAPPER to use POSTCAR_STAGE.
We use POSTCAR_STAGE as a conditional in CAR teardown to tell
our MTRR setup is prepared such that invalidation without
writeback is a valid operation.

We define BINARYPI_LEGACY_WRAPPER a method of calling AGESA
via functions in agesawrapper.c file. The approach implemented
there makes it very inconvenient to do board-specific
customisation or present common platform-specific features.
Seems like it also causes assertion errors on AGESA side.
The flag is applied here to all boards and then individually
removed one at a time, as things get tested.
New method is not to call AGESA internal functions directly,
but via the dispatcher. AGESA call parameters are routed to
hooks in both platform and board -directories, to allow for
easy capture or modification as needed.
For each AGESA dispatcher call made, eventlog entries are
replayed to the console log. Also relocations of AGESA heap
that took place are recorded.
New method is expected to be compatible with binaryPI.

Calling disable_cache_as_ram() with valuables in stack is not
a stable solution, as per documentation AMD_DISABLE_STACK
should destroy stack in cache.
While we still preserve cache contents (there is wbinvd deep
inside AMD_DISABLE_STACK macro), we now actually do a stack
switch and much more closely meet the specification of CAR
teardown sequence in AGESA specifications.
We now somewhat incorrectly include files from agesa/ tree,
but the whole agesawrapper.c file removal will address the
issue of overall directory layout.

This requires to also unify the calling convention for
AGESA functions from
AGESA_STATUS (*agesa_func)(UINT32 Func, UINT32 Data, VOID *ConfigPtr)
to
AGESA_STATUS (*agesa_func)(UINT32 Func, UINTN Data, VOID *ConfigPtr)
On systems running 32bit x86 code this will not make a difference as
UINTN is uintptr_t which is 32bit on these machines.

Instead of making all SPI drivers allocate space for a spi_flash
structure and fill it in, udpate the API to allow callers to pass in a
spi_flash structure that can be filled by the flash drivers as
required. This also cleans up the interface so that the callers can
maintain and free the space for spi_flash structure as required.

Add package options to the CPU Kconfig that may be selected by the
mainboard's Kconfig file. Stoney Ridge is available in FP4 and FT4
packages and each requires a unique binaryPI image. Default to the
correct blob used by the northbridge by looking at the CPU's package.
Also modify Gardenia to select the right package.

additional details for the packages.

When allowing use of SSE instructions, stack must be
aligned to 16 bytes. Adjust x86 entry to C accordingly,
by pushing values to maintain the alignment.
For some builds, new toolchain and GCC-6.3 could emit
SSE instruction 'andps (%esp),%xmm0' with incorrectly
aligned esp, raising exception and thus preventing boot.

No board with binaryPI currently supports HAVE_ACPI_RESUME. For
platforms with PSP the approach is also very different from what
we previously had here.
Furthermore, s3_resume.[ch] files under cpu/amd/pi do not
distinguish between NonVolatile and Volatile buffers of S3 storage.
This means the Volatile buffer that is maintained and available in
CBMEM is unnecessarily copied to SPI flash. This has been fixed on
open-source AGESA directory, so development of S3 suspend support
with binaryPI is better continued with that.
Unfortunately there are further complications and indications that
open-source AGESA may have always had a low-memory corruption
issue. This has to be investigated separately before restoring
or claiming S3 is supported on binaryPI.

Relocate the enabling of the LAPIC out of the southbridge source and
surround it with a check for CONFIG_UDELAY_LAPIC (typical for AMD
systems). The LAPIC is now enabled for all cores; not only the BSP,
and not only when the UART is used.
This solves the problem of APs not having their APICs enabled when
the timer is expected to be functional, e.g. verstage often uses
do_printk_va_list() instead of do_printk() which exits early for
APs when CONFIG_SQUELCH_EARLY_SMP=y.
The changes were tested with two Gardenia builds, one using verstage
and another with CONFIG_SQUELCH_EARLY_SMP=n.

Vendorcode always does PCI MMCONF access once it is
enabled via MSR.
In coreboot proper, we don't give opportunity to make
pci_read/write calls before PCI MMCONF is enabled via MSR.
This happens early in romstage amd_initmmio() for all cores.

RW flag was added to spi_slave structure to get around a requirement on
some AMD flash controllers that need to group together all spi volatile
operations (write/erase). This rw flag is not a property or attribute of
the SPI slave or controller. Thus, instead of saving it in spi_slave
structure, clean up the SPI flash driver interface. This allows
chipsets/mainboards (that require volatile operations to be grouped) to
indicate beginning and end of such grouped operations.
New user APIs are added to allow users to perform probe, read, write,
erase, volatile group begin and end operations. Callbacks defined in
spi_flash structure are expected to be used only by the SPI flash
driver. Any chipset that requires grouping of volatile operations can
select the newly added Kconfig option SPI_FLASH_HAS_VOLATILE_GROUP and
define callbacks for chipset_volatile_group_{begin,end}.
spi_claim_bus/spi_release_bus calls have been removed from the SPI flash
chip drivers which end up calling do_spi_flash_cmd since it already has
required calls for claiming and releasing SPI bus before performing a
read/write operation.

Newer AMD families have multiple models within them, each often
requiring unique support. The chip_name files were starting to
have a lot of duplication. Specify the model in the name, as well
as the family.
